The A Word (2016)
Shocking at the reviews bad acting???? As if
The acting is one of the main reasons i enjoyed it. Even if you don't like a character the acting is brilliant. Even newcomer ralphs dad was good from the off-who could have guessed him and Maurice would get on? To the person saying hes an idiot, it doesn't matter, he is a genuine person who just wants what s best for his family. Christopher is more used to high functioning drama like dr who (ive never watched an episode of that in my life). He has brilliant chemistry and contrast with Louise
The main drama is about autism and learning disabilities. Its not just joe, Mark also has it and both Ralph and Katie are downs and both develop well. Alison doesn't even appear in episode 5 s3 so how can you say its all about the parents? They're allowed a life of their own. Having their own business also could give joe a good start in life of learning to work hard Maurice had his before joe was born.
The only gripes i had was we barely saw any of Katie before the wedding and Louise doesn't interact much with Maurice 's family
I hope they don't use these bad reviews as a guide to not making another series. It is v popular
Home Again (2017)
loved it
well i loved it. one of my fave movies that i will likely end up watching again. i loved all the characters, they were all well acted and interesting, each had their own interesting story and it blended well with everyone. even Austin who was my least fave was still likable. it wasn't as predictable as i thought it'd be either, i thought she'd get back with Austin for the kids sake so i wasn't expecting a divorce. i loved the chemistry between Reese and Pico (just not the close up snogging scenes) the kids were cute too. there were some funny parts)
the only thing i didn't like was the idea a bloke could cure anxiety issues, that's not sending out a great message for those who don't look as pretty as Reese.
the ending just sort of threw me and i was a bit confused as it didn't wrap up the story lines. it annoys me when films do that
Nine Months (1995)
Hilarious
this is my first review on here. i never know what to write! but i had to write one for this.It was hilarious, i have been watching a lot of films lately and sometimes i stop watching about 15 mins in cos its been so boring, but this one was funny from the very start. i don't usually like slapstick on TV but its different in films.
Hugh grant generally always plays the same kind of character, although he is brilliant at what he does, and nearly always has amazing chemistry with his co-stars. He is a little different in this but not much. Samuel can be a bit unfair at the start but understandable. I disagreed with someone who said Rebbecca didn't give him a chance, she did. in the scene at her dance school she asks if he wanted it too and he said yes.
I've not seen Robin Windsor in many films but he was hilarious too.
the only silly thing i thought was when Gail shouted YEES - she does the same thing in runaway bride LOL!
