Bosco (2024)
BOSCO is a must watch
I felt multiple, strong emotions during this film. It was a beautiful rollercoaster. So well written, acted, and directed. More of these sort of stories need to be told. Our penal system has ruined lives, and some folks like BOSCO, the real man behind the story, are an inspiration to those who are still stuck behind bars over nonsense.
The story is moving. The fact this really happened is just mind blowing. The ending is fire. I'm really proud of all of those involved in getting this made. What was supposed to take 2 years took 5 because filming started right before the pandemic. All I gotta say is...
Check out BOSCO!
Poor Things (2023)
My favorite film of 2023
Clocked in right at the end of the year. A friend of mine mentioned this movie, and unfamiliar with Yorgos' work prior to this, I was in for a real treat. The surrealism is captured perfectly throughout the film. Emma Stone gives an oscar worthy performance, but don't sleep on Mark Ruffalo and Rammy Youseff! IT has inspired me to go back and watch all of Yorgos' films.
I think the thing that blew me away the most was, the pacing. It never felt dull. There was always action happening. Even though it's a long film, it still feels manageable. If you are into film, and don't mind the surrealist viewpoint, this is an excellent film.
