FBI: International (2021)
Unbelievable rubbish
I enjoy FBI and FBI Wanted, but FBI International is truly unbelievable dross.
Made for a USA audience who are under the misapprehension that the USA rules the world.
FBI agents investigating, killing, and arresting people the world over without any oversight.
As for the acting - dolls could be easily substituted, and would be a lot cheaper than the current cast.
I watched the first episode - thought it was dire. Thought - I'll give it a another chance to see if they've ironed out the kinks .... but no, it slipped even further into abyss of drivel (which I didn't believe possible).
Don't waste your time on this.
Three Thousand Years of Longing (2022)
Hypnotic storytelling
Excellent story telling and acting by Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton.
A tale about time and the unchanging nature of human kind and our ultimate need to find a balance in life by understanding the potential consequences of our choices borne out of our hopes, desires.
Some reviewers seemed to expect action, didn't like the ending, and didn't want it to be about love.
Such is life my friends 'you can't always get what you want'.
Stories, like life, are not all the same and often don't have the ending you want.
A beautiful story, beautifully told.
I hope you like it as much as I did.
Enjoy!!!!
Marriage (2022)
Character piece about long term relationships
I really enjoyed it.
If you're expecting an unrealistic Hollywood story - walk on.
This is a tale about long term relationships, when the initial excitement has gone and you discover you have a solid, close, loving relationship with someone who you laugh, love, and cry with. Helping each other through the lows and enjoying the highs together.
It is has exciting bits - the things people may do when they're teetering on the edge may come back to bite them.
The Fix (2018)
Laughter without cruelty
I like Jimmy Carr. Yes, it's toned down compared to his usual stand-up, but I thought this was really funny.
Hopefully more to come.
As for the person who wrote this was like QI - they've obviously never seen it.
Loudermilk (2017)
Gritty humour
I can't believe some of the reviews - people complaining about the language. It's supposed to be a portrayal of real life and the serious challenges people face, and guess what - they're not nice, and pretty.
Gritty, edgey humour reflecting life, excellent acting, and dialogue to boot. Superior to the usual bland programmes on TV.
