Totally Under Control (2020)
Wow - They nailed it!
I cannot say enough good things about this documentary.
The timelines and testimonials presented throughout this film are spot-on!
The comparison's between South Korea and the USA clearly explained why the Asian response to Covid succeeded, while the US response became a grotesque failure. Many American's never knew that the head of the Chinese CDC had lengthy and detailed discussions regarding the virus with (Dr Redfield) the head of the US CDC on January 3rd, 2020. Unfortunately, this documentary did not mention the 15 US CDC scientists that were working with the WHO scientists as early as Jan 1st, 2020.
I was never quite sure what Kushner's role was in the US response; however, this documentary clarified what I already suspected. His role in this disaster should be thoroughly investigated by the FBI once Trump leaves Office.
Hopefully those who played key roles in this tragedy will be held criminally responsible once Biden is sworn-in as the new POTUS.
There is no doubt that the handful of 1/10 ratings on this site were written by ardent Trump supporters.
As a "self-declared genius" once said: "Lock them up!"
Coronavirus: Patient Zero (2020)
Looks like FOX News made a bad movie!
Where di I begin ...
Aside from the bad sound engineering, awkward acting scenes, and the right-wing religious undertones, they had the chance to make a good movie here.
The CDC representative's actions are completely unrealistic, his uniform is out of place, he doesn't know how to wear PPE, and his acting is just plain awful!
The line "China's being lying to us about the effects" couldn't be further from the truth. The head of the Chinese CDC discussed the outbreak at great length with the head of the US CDC (Redfield) on January 3rd, 2020. Watch the movie "Totally Under Control" (it's on Prime) to see what really happened.
The last 10 minutes of this "made for TV propaganda piece" is a combination of unrealistic coincidences, religious propaganda, and a magical group healing.
The Crossing (2018)
Fine arts grads write another budget sci-fi ...
I'm OK with the underlying theme of the series, but ...
1. I hate Steve Zahn's over-acting ... more angry stares into the camera please?
2. I don't know why HSI keep the visitors in tents?
3. How come the visitors are wearing the same clothes all the time?
4. Why do the lead investigators always need to have face-to-face conversations?
5. Why is there only one Doctor/scientist looking after the visitors?
6. Why are there no quarantine procedures at the camp/town?
7. Why do the characters only say 10% of what needs to be said?
8. Why does every conversation between the characters seem awkward?
Another low-budget sci-fi with bad science, writing and acting.
Contraband (2012)
Wahlberg Fit the Part Perfectly.
It was a really good movie ... I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The story gets progressively more complicated as the movie continues. Wahlberg does a great job filling the lead role and the bad guy's were good at their roles too.
Great action flick!
Big Stan (2007)
Rob Schneider's Best Movie
I loved this movie from start to finish This movie was well written, well acted and well directed.
The movie's depiction of "penal reform" was pure genius! The "no rape - let's dance" theme was surprisingly fresh. I laughed throughout the entire movie.
This movie is definitely not for the kids ... but open-minded adult couples will get a kick out of this comedy.
Well done ... bravo!
Columbus (2017)
This was a movie ... yikes!
This was the worst movie I have seen by far.
Boring, pointless, inane conversation between boring people with generous periods of absolute deafening silence.
This is one of those movies directed to intellectuals that refer to "movies" as "films" and like to use expressions like "paradigm shift" whilst rubbing their chin.
I would have given this a "0" if it was allowed ... what a mess.
Zhan lang II (2017)
Complete and utter garbage
I had heard that this movie had rave reviews. It's one of the saddest and most brutal portrayals of Africans and Africa I've ever seen.
What a mess; between the poor writing and the poor acting, it seemed like the longest 2 hours of my life. There appears to be no plot; other than people are continuously getting killed in vivid technicolor. The good guy's kill the bad guys; then, the bad guys kill the good guys; and then, the bad guys kill the bad guys.
The propaganda angle in this movie is pretty blatant; with statements like "they're at the Chinese funded hospital" instead of "they're at the hospital". The original script for this movie must have been "enhanced" by CCP hardliners within the Chinese government before they decided to shoot the movie.
As for the abundant 10/10's I'm seeing on this site ... I'll assume that they're employees of the production company, CCP hardliners or friends of the actors.
Unlocked (2017)
A Female Jason Bourne ... Sexy!
I really enjoyed this action flick. it was a blend of the first Bourne movie and the (Ashley Judd) series Missing. The lead female character (Alice) is quite believable. and she's pretty
I hope that there are sequels planned for the future!
Good Time (2017)
I Love Unpredictable Movies.
Completely surprised where this movie goes ... a nice distraction from the usual drivel that most movies tend to serve-up these days.
I felt a real connection with the two brothers at the end. The dysfunctional lives of the characters in this movie make you appreciate what what you have.
Enjoy!
Irreplaceable You (2018)
A Beautifully Told Story About Love & Death
A childhood love story is interrupted in a sad, yet simple movie.
The actors they selected were perfect for their roles in the movie. All of the characters were believable and the awkward conversations were consistent with some of the difficult situations that were being portrayed in the movie.
Make sure you've got a full box of Kleenex ready. (LOL)
Salvation (2017)
Salvation will make you dumber.
I guess that they don't teach physics or career planning at writer's college?
BTW ... how was a tiny probe going to take-out a massive asteroid again?
Astrophysicists don't...
1. fix rocket engines
2. verbally command super computers performing advanced CFD simulations
3. diagnose "Asteroid" gaming hacks
4. perform engine construction, diagnostics and repair
There were too many poorly thought-through technical aspects in this series.
The writer's didn't seem to realize that it takes 8 minutes for a signal to travel from Earth to Jupiter. I was surprised to see that the probe near Jupiter had the fuel to fly around the solar system chasing asteroids?
They could call this show "America Good - China, Russia and Iran Bad"
Does anyone know why the USA can't afford to lose the one billion dollars required to save the Earth?
Bad science, bad acting, bad story ... it's just bad.
