The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (1973)
Boy Cried Werewolf 1973 and shock and awe 10
I never forgot seeing this film in the late 70's on new cable. It seemed to me to be so very scary. Frightening! I want to see it again. Now to find it. The kid, if I remember, was running after his father, but his father was now 100% werewolf. So scary to me.
The Invisible Man (2020)
Boring, dumb, dull and it sucks.
The casting of the lead as a femme fatele is absurd. She is bizarre and unattractive. She looks like a bag lady. There are endless possibilities for the invisible man story, but this writer and this director show no creativity. It's a bore and a waste of time, my time. Miss it if you can.
Doctor Sleep (2019)
I was not expecting anything good, much less a masterpiece! MASTERPIECE 10
DOCTOR SLEEP (2019) I was stunned at the gripping plot and story. The casting and acting are superb. I had my eyes wide open for most of the film. It is mystifying, horrifying, and is essentially the most terrifying film I have seen in a long time. Warning: Do not bring young children to see this film. It may traumatize them for life. From a novel by Stephen King, and it's considered the sequel to THE SHINING. In theaters.
Very Cavallari (2018)
VERY Cavillari: Really fascinating to watch, if you have a brain.
Very Cavillari: Here she is, with her very own new venture becoming successful. And a reality show to add to the success. There is her brooding loser husband retired out of his fantasy world of hero-worship football and currently unemployed... making no attempt to get a job. Thinks in his little mind that he is her manager, as if anyone could manage her. She is her own person. Her faults are her love for the loser, and her love and loyalty to her friends. Some of her so-called friends are passive-aggressive to her and the jobs she has given them, and their jealousy causes them to try to undermine the company. She supports them, to her credit, but it's great when she finally has to cut them loose when it becomes so obvious that they are just treacherous bit*hes. Her learning curve is frustrating to watch, and they all drink too much. The entire cast belongs in rehab, but they won't see that until they hit bottom when they realize it's not helping numb the pain of success. Ironic. I just love her spirit, even with flaws, and I hope she has continued success, stops drinking, and starts leaving more losers behind, the ones who are doing nothing to advance her success. I'd love to see her on Maria Bartiromo's Wall Street. A joint episode with The Profit would be great to see, and maybe he'd advance her company with streamlining and efficiency without wanting to own 51% of her company. Just do a joint-venture program for the ratings. It would be fascinating to watch. Good luck to her. Looking forward to Season 3.
Warning Sign (1985)
One of the worst films I've ever seen.
The casting makes no sense. The acting is terrible. The story itself is preposterous. No one knows what they're doing in the lab nor what is going on. No one follows the protocols. It is a terrible film that is so bad it makes you angry. I was hoping that they'd all be killed except for the security guard, Kathleen Quinlin. Don't waste your time with this one. See Lifeguard instead.
Green Book (2018)
One of the finest films of 2018 and a good holiday film, too. 10
GREEN BOOK (2018) "A working-class Italian-American bouncer becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South." (Source: IMDB.com) I could not have said it better. I saw it yesterday and I loved it. I would not have recognized Viggo Mortensen if I didn't see his name advertised. Viggo Mortensen, Mahershala Ali star. Great film inspired by a true story. I checked it out. It is.
