Good Deed (2018 TV Movie)

Mediocre at best, I'm giving this movie a generous 6/10, it is based on the same old formula, cou cou foster girl who's delusional and murders people who catches her lying or are suspicious of her actions.

The crazy girl actrees is an amateur and overdoes the character but has her momets, the main protagonist does a good job with the character and comes across more beleivable, the support actors are not too bad.

While this is more like a tv b film, it's actually enterteining and has a couple of interesting suspense moments. If you have nothing better to watch or you are too tired to watch a movie that will make you think, this is a perfect candidate to kill 90 minutes of your valuable time. .

Mad Families (2017)

I don't understand why people are so harsh about this movie. It's not super funny but it's ok to watch and crack a few smiles.

The racist jokes are actually pretty mild and the message is not woke as some reviews say, it's actually the opposite, people of different races and cultures having fun together, just like the old days before all the snowflakes and politicians started with the divisive rhetoric about race and gender.

Watch the movie with an open mind and enjoy life , stop being so judgmental.

Btw it's nice to see Charlie sheen on screen again but he has to stop playing the two and a half men character, kind of boring.

Knock at the Cabin (2023)

Bad movie

I'm a nutshell: Premise is an old one, judgment day but with a gay couple as the heroes.

Pace is slow as a snail, and whatever action is happening is so ridiculous and unrealistic it makes me feel vicarious shame.

Bad acting but the two stars I'm giving are for Dave Bautista who's mediocre acting is actually better than all the other actors together.

The script is bad , cinematography is bad, nothing is credible, ending is predictable.

Whatever happened to the once famous director of sixth sense that is now directing these terrible movies is unknown.

Totally forgettable movie, stay away if you can.

I See You (II) (2019)

Excellent movie

Nice old school thriller with multiple twists, no social drama, politics or group propaganda, just a good entertaining movie, the way all movies should be.

Excellent acting, writing, directing, etc. Watch it, you won't be disappointed.

You have to pay attention to everything that's happening and with an open mind, every element of the movie is shown for a reason .

The premise might not necessarily be a new thing but the way it was put together is definitely genius.

Helen Hunt's character is well acted although sometimes I feel that the role should have gone to a different actress with more gravitas in this particular type of movie. But she pulled it off .

Sorry, it just didn't cut it for me, and I don't understand how this movie could have been nominated for an Oscar, I guess the bar is pretty low nowadays.

I picked this movie after watching the preview in netflix and because it shows scenes of a trial, I thought that's what the movie was about but no, the trial actually happens in like the last 15 minutes and lacks total substance.

Out of all the actors Ellen Burstyn is ,for me ,the driving force that makes the movie salvable to an extend.

Vanessa Kirby has a strong presence in the film and her acting is good , she is definitely into the character she plays, but they are times when her delivery feels a bit dull, long quite moments and too many solo scenes that don't add value to the movie. She may not be at fault for this but rather the director.

Shia LaBeouf played his part, but it feels a bit too theatrical, his outbursts aren't credible and his character is easy to forget.

By the way, they are a lot of scenes in this movie that really don't add any value to it, just filling to meet certain expectations, for instance, the scene where the couple tries to engage in sex is just irrelevant, and what's this trend about showing the guy's junk?, Personally I find it gross and unnecessary.

The first 20 min baby delivery is way too long, it's powerful but it's just too long, the same could have been done in half the time. Btw Molly Parker does an amazing Job, she should be given much more time and credit than other actors.

The family drama part is good but then again , too much dialog.

This is my honest review ,

Movie is watchable = 6 Movie is entertaining = 6 Acting = 7 Story = 7 Directing = 5 Photography and other movie elements = 7.

Hidden Gem on Netflix

While trying to find a descent movie to watch on Netflix ( sort of a challenge nowadays), i somehow came across this movie, sceptical at first based on the description it got my attention and a few minutes through it i was already hooked up.

Funny, Satirical, Critical, entertaining and unoffending well written, directed, acted and filmed.

The only reason I am not giving 10 stars is because of the ambiguity of how one of the main characters got to be so fully aware of the situation she was in so quickly while others struggle to understand what was going on. I wish this part was more of an awareness progression as opposed to this instant Rambo caught in a bad setting.

My opinion anyways.

This is a solid 10/10 movie, I wouldn't call it "Horror", although it has paranormal elements.

It's been a while since I watch a movie that moved me and this one did, literally!

I don't even understand the 8/10 ratings of people who watched and praised the movie, this movie overseeds all the crappy stuff that is out there.

It kind of starts just ok, the premise of corrupt cops is given since the beginning of the movie, but then as the movie progresses it becomes a total absurd and flawed story with poor (to say the least) acting. Just imagine that Tito Ortiz who should stick to fighting and nothing else acts better than Bruce Willis who should have retired years ago.

This is more like a C movie, not even B, a child would have done a better job. In addition Netflix must be doing really bad that it has to resort to this crap, and can't list better movies.

I should have give it 1 start, but I'm giving it a generous 2 , for keeping me awake for the duration of the movie.

Is it an Oscar winning movie? Of course not.

Is it watchable? Yes, some gory scenes but it is not terribly bloody

Is it an actual horror movie? Yes , it is and it has its moments. Some good suspense as well.

Not for kids , at least I wouldn't recommend for younger than 21.

What in the world is this?, I watched the movie for probably 15 minutes, horrible beginning, nothing makes senses and Siena Miller should really find another trade because she sucks as an actress, who told her she can act anyway, I didn't even make to the scenes where Baldwin appears.

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this piece of absolute and utter rubbish.

I started watching this movie without knowing it was a remake of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, I only realized that when Hathaway pretends to hit Penny with the cane.

All in all it's not a such terrible movie, it just doesn't measure up to the Steve Martin's one.

Anne Hathaway comedic skills are ok and she looks amazing.

It's perhaps the ending that I found disappointing, it's a bit annoying and poorly executed.

I haven't written a review in ages, but for this one, I just couldn't resist but to write one, a short one.

The only reason I finished watching this movie is because I had too much coffee and couldn't sleep

The movie starts Ok, with some awkward moments, but you can already tell that the acting is not too great, it is partially justified because the main character is supposed to be a dork.

But then the awkwardness turns into a nuisance because the scenes start taking forever and nothing happens, the script is beyond aweful and then it comes the editing from half the movie to the end is like they just patched up pieces and tried to make something with them.

This is a movie I so regret wasting my time watching,

Despite all the negative reviews I found the movie entertaining, yes it has a lot of plot holes, bad script and not the best acting but the story is interesting , all in all it's a watchable movie as long as you don't have high expectations.

Poorly written and poorly directed was not as bad as I thought it was going to be, let me be clear, it's a bad movie but compared with all the crap that has been made recently it's actually watchable.

One more thing, get your facts straight, the castle mentioned in the movie is not in Romania, it's in Prague and it's the Houska castle, I can't believe the people who wrote the script didn't even get that right. Shame.

This is a movie with several twists and turns, some expected some no so much. It feels like an old Alfred Hitchcock movie at times. It's entertaining and better acted than a lot of of other movies that get better ratings.

Not The greatest, not the worst. It's slow though But if you make it to the end it turns out to be a pretty descent movie. A mix of the Shining of Kubrick with the others played by Nicole Kidman.

I recommend this movie for a laizee evening.

I don't know when I wrote my last review, it must be years, but today I could not help it. My good deed of the year, please, for the love of God, don't waste your time the way I did, this is beyond ridiculous. I don't understand why Forest Whitaker accepted to be a part of this movie, he must need money. Poor story, poor acting, horrible execution, stupid ending. Just do yourself a favor and don't watch it.
