Talk to Me (2022)
People rating this lower have clearly never lost anyone
This is an amazing and terrifying film. In the first year after my mother died, I would have done ANYTHING to talk to her again, this portrays that so well and I think a lot of commenters are too young to have experienced that grief that makes Mia make bad decisions. A really stunning film with so many scary moments - not least just how awfully the men and boys (mostly - the girls and women too at times) treat each other, so casually hurtful. Riley comes to his sister in fear and she turns him away? Painful. Anyway. Ignore the nay sayers and give this a watch. No plot holes that I could see! It's clear Mia wasn't possessed but the door was left open.
Buffaloed (2019)
Solid charmer
Really enjoyed it. Moves along quickly. The two leads are good, kept me interested, lots of laughs as well as a little touching. Don't listen to the negative reviews!
Station Eleven (2021)
Made me have deep feels
I don't even usually write reviews but felt compelled! Read the book at least a couple years ago (always better to forget a few details and not be a nit picky idiot about the show not exactly matching every freaking detail). This was stunning. I wasn't ever bored and the character development and plots coming together had me in tears during the last two episodes. Amazing TV!
