Fight Club (1999)
9/10
Strongly recommended
6 August 2022
Fight Club is one of the most controversial and talked-about films of the past 20 years. The movie stars Edward Norton as a disillusioned office worker who becomes involved in an underground fight club, headed up by the charismatic Tyler Durden (played by Brad Pitt). Together, they start a nationwide movement of men who seek to release their pent-up rage through violent means.

While Fight Club is undeniably violent and sometimes graphic, it is also an extremely smart and thought-provoking film that asks difficult questions about masculinity, society, and our own human nature. It's definitely not a film for everyone, but if you're looking for something different and challenging, Fight Club is well worth watching.

The Matrix (1999)
8/10
2000's in a pill

The Matrix is one of the best movies of all time. It features outstanding acting by Keanu Reeves, as well as excellent action sequences and visual effects. The story is also very well-written, with a twist ending that will leave you thinking about the film long after it's over. If you're looking for an exciting and thought-provoking movie, The Matrix is definitely worth seeing.

The Wachowski brothers were heavily influenced by the work of French philosopher Jean Baudrillard when making The Matrix. In his book Simulacra and Simulation, Baudrillard talks about how modern society is increasingly reliant on simulations of reality. He also talks about how humans is becoming more detached from the physical world and more immersed in virtual realities. This idea of humans losing touch with reality and becoming immersed in a simulated world is a central theme in The Matrix. In the movie, human beings are trapped in a simulated reality known as the Matrix. They are only able to break free when they are unplugged from the Matrix and exposed to the harsh realities of the real world. The Wachowskis have said that they were heavily influenced by Baudrillard's work when making The Matrix and that they wanted to explore his ideas about simulations and reality in the film.

Must wach

The Green Mile is a moving and thought-provoking movie that everyone should see. It tells the story of a condemned man, who, despite his crimes, is a kind and gentle soul. The movie explores the themes of justice, morality, and mercy, and asks the question of whether a person can truly be judged by their worst deeds. The acting is superb, and the film is directed with great sensitivity. The Green Mile will make you laugh, cry, and think long after the credits have rolled. I highly recommend it.

The Wire (2002–2008)

Why The Wire is one of the greatest television shows of all time
9 July 2022
The Wire is one of the greatest television shows of all time. It's a crime drama that follows the lives of police officers and criminals in Baltimore, Maryland. The show was created by David Simon, who also wrote for The Baltimore Sun.

The Wire is unique because it doesn't glamorize crime or violence. It shows the ugly reality of life in a city plagued by drugs and crime. The characters are complex and the storylines are gripping.

The Wire is one of the most realistic shows on television. It's a must-see for anyone who loves great television.

The Dark Knight - 10/10
9 July 2022
The Dark Knight is easily one of the best superhero movies I have ever seen. The acting was superb, the plot was well-done, and the action scenes were thrilling. Christian Bale did an excellent job portraying Batman, and Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was simply amazing. The movie had a perfect blend of humor, drama, and action, and I was completely captivated from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of superhero movies or just wants a great movie to watch.
