Take Me to the River
(2015)
um, what?
15 September 2018
So weird...although all the reviewers that say it's a thinker are right but damn it's still not worth the time wasted watching it to find out the OLD SECRET fueling the extrenely annoying mom character's perma-almost cry face. Ick. Hated it. And no closure..

Literally ticked us off - don't waste your time

The slowest moving ridiculously filled with idle chatter movie featuring horribly irritating shitty actors. OMG so bad. We finally skipped through many scenes to get to the end and were still very crabby that we'd wasted any time on it.
The Edge of Seventeen

Touching and funny

I just loved this movie! Made me re-think rolling my eyes at my teenagers' drama and think back to how hard things can be at times at that age even withOUT the added drama of family situations (which is an add-in here) AND the dialogue between teacher and student is hilarious!
All the Money in the World

SO boring and what is so great about the acting?

Although the fact that this is based on a interesting true events is quite intriguing it was somehow made into a terribly boring movie... In fact, it was the second movie I can remember that I've ever almost walked out of (the first was "The Witch")... "gripping" and "edge of your seat" should be replaced with "extremely slow moving" "absolutely no surprises" and "great actors in roles anyone could play" ..I don't understand all they "award" hype when all the actors really did was talk in monotone calmness... I was pretty angry after spending over two hours sitting in a theater for it; although it would have maybe been ok to watch at home when you can pause or do crafts or something while it's on. . .
Blindsided
(2013)
SO bad

Warning: Spoilers
we couldn't even finish this as it was ridiculous from the get-go. UM. you're in an apt bldg - maybe scream or something? I love love love Michael Keaton but he seemed very fake and uninterested and it was "everything that could go wrong" could type thing..Sorry, a waste of the 30mn we forced ourselves to sit through.
