What's wrong with the ending?
12 July 2023
I wasn't too interested when this popped up on my Netflix but I decided to give it a go. Once you get more into the story, things become more interesting. Actors are good the story is pretty intriguing, I can say I actually liked it and wanted to find out more. I'm not sure what I expected in the end, maybe a happy ending or some sort of explanation where this mysterious phone came from.

Anyway, you wait for it and then it comes the ending. What.. did.. just.. happen? Maybe you think you missed something during the series, possibly you fell asleep? It is absolutely non-sensical, there is no explanation at all.

Surreal, slow, non sensical
19 May 2023
I don't often leave really bad reviews, but I hated it. Like really hated it. Some people called it a crime thriller, but I just thought the story was surreal, progressed slowly, the end made no sense at all. Well, the only sense it made is that the makers want to do a season 2, but it won't be for me. While he's just smashing things or people for the whole series, his little naive fling girlfriend keeps on spinning between him and the other guy (who is a complete moron) and the psychiatrist is just perverted. Then there's a bunch of bad guys around, but you never really know why and they don't add anything to the story. My advice: watch something else.

Dune (2021)

Excellent!
20 May 2022
I loved this movie. Although I had heard about the book many times, I never got to read it before seeing the movie. After I saw this movie I felt really inspired to read the book so I did. All I can say is I found the movie much better than the book. People who are saying it was dull should try reading the book. I thought it was excellent! They did a good job in explaining the back story when the movie starts, I found the plot interesting and the rather unknown cast fascinating.

We tried to make it a 50 shades, but with even worse acting and "script"
28 April 2022
I'm giving it 3 stars just because it kept me busy.

  • There is almost no dialogue.

  • Acting is horrible.

  • Whatever story there is, it makes no sense. I'm not even sure there really is a "script".

  • Nude scenes for the first half an hour, but pretty much senseless. Nothing thrilling about it, as that part is fastened forward with some horrible music in the background. It's basically just nude to show nude.

50 shades was bad, but this is an entirely different category of bad.

The outdoor scenery is nice, but that's the only nice thing I can say about it.

Teenage drama
13 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The good thing: this movie has Tobey Maguire and Benedict Cumberbatch in it and some of the older bad crooks.

The bad:
  • The storyline is lame. Parallel universe with multiple spidermans in it? Come on! They pretty much turn their hero into a most wanted criminal that's crying for most of the movie and doesn't really manage to redeem himself by the end of the movie.

  • Tom Holland, his girlfriend in the movie and his best friend just aren't real actors. It feels like you're watching a teenage drama.

  • Way too long. I thought of walking out after just an hour.

Honestly, I don't know where the star reviews come from. This movie could have been so good with a descent script and just Tobey Maguire as Spiderman.

Poor performance, incomprehensible plot, disappointing ending
21 August 2017
Poor performance from Emma Watson in this particular role, not very credible. Luckily, Ethan Hawke makes up for a little of it.

For almost the entire movie, you're going in rounds and wondering what is going on. Only the last 10-15 minutes give some revelation and it's fairly disappointing.

Sure, you'll keep watching it in the hope someone will explain what is going on, but you'll end up wasting your time.
