Santa's Slay (2005)
Christmas B-Movie not for the Kids
This movie is a low budget B-Movie so do not expect much. This movie was bad but because of the scenery and good acting I gave it a fair rating. The outside Canadian snow scenes were nice and the main actors, especially Emile De Ravin (she starred in TV show "Roswell" as Tess), did a good job with what they had on hand to work with. Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr. (Mr. President in the movie "The Fifth Element") made a cameo appearance. The film also had some funny moments. One problem with the movie was that sometimes one scene would end and another start leaving you with the feeling that something was missing or had been cut out. Movie at some points seemed to be jumping all over the place. It also seemed that they tried to cram a lot more than they should have into this film. Last, the story was bad and seemed to poke fun at Christmas. Overall, the movie is watchable but don't let little kids watch it.
Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave (2005)
Fair B-Movie
First of all this movie is a low budget B-Movie so don't expect too much. However, this movie was bad. Some scenes were really silly. The two Romanian actors used for comic relief saved this movie from a bad rating. They were funny and worked well together. The main actors did well. Peter Coyote did better in this movie when compared to ROTLD4. Aimee Lynn Chadwick should have been given more scenes since she brought comic relief to movie. Movie sort of glorifying drugs. The writers should have cut out the drug dealing part and have gone with another storyline. Some of the different scenes did not flow well which left you with the feeling that something is missing or had been cut-out. The zombies were OK but they were not the classic zombies we were use to seeing. Overall, I give this B-Movie a Fair rating. Hope we get to see those two Romanians in other movies. They were funny.
Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis (2005)
Good B-Movie
First of all this movie is a low budget B-movie so don't expect much. That said, I give this movie a "good" rating. All the main actors and actresses performed well. Aimee Lynn Chadwick, specially, gave the movie some comic relief. Peter Coyote seemed to be out of place in this movie. One secondary actor, a Romanian actor, briefly stole some scenes in the movie even though he did not get to say much. Some of the locations where the film was shot, most notably at the start, added eeriness to the film. The flow from one scene to another was sometimes bumpy leaving you with the feeling that something is missing or was cut out. The zombies were OK but they were not the classic zombies many are use to seeing. Would have preferred another ending to the movie but you cannot have everything. Overall, I recommend this movie to all B-movie fans.
