Mexican American (2007)
Why Miklo? Why?
How could someone with so much experience in the film industry, make such an awful film. Damian Chapa directs and stars in this straight to video P.O.S. which is also a gem from chapa's production company. The thing that bothers me is it's chapa's movie, and it looks like he didn't put any effort into it at all. Acting, story, directing, all garbage. I can forgive the whole Ken Masters in the street fighter movie but not this. And no the movie doesn't suck because of production value. Shaky camera, terrible action scenes, the stunts are laughable, *there's one scene where chapa's character shoots a villain with a shotgun, the villain grunt's, looks down on the ground to make sure everything is clear for the fall, and finally dies*. It's classic. Oh yeah and the movie line finale is the best part of the film. Miklo hit the gym at least before you decide to make a film like this.
The Devil's Rejects (2005)
I thought it was garbage
I don't see how everyone else thinks this is some kind of cinematic masterpiece. It was garbage. Another excuse for Rob Zombie to put his woman on screen like she's some hot undiscovered actress. This is nothing but a shock factor film that Rob Zombie duplicated off of true horrific events, put it on film, and labeled it his own creation. This guy is not a talented film writer or director, the only reason he has an opportunity to make films is his musical background. He's no better than the rap artists who make crap films. There are a few things I like about the film. For instance Capt Wydell, I don't think they ventured enough into his character, and I also think the story would have ended a lot better if he had gotten his revenge on the three murderers. (I was cheering him on the whole time during his torture scene with otis, capt spaulding and baby). But no, instead the ending is some piece of junk Thelma and Louise kamikaze and thats that. You all can't tell me you didn't think of that dike film when you saw the ending. F U all, thats my opinion. Laterz.
Da lui toi (1983)
This movie won awards??
How this movie won eight awards is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, the fight scenes in this movie great. It's the setting of the movie that threw me off. The director tried so hard to make this film with somewhat of a futuristic look with the apocalytic thing going around and the video games (atari). Oh yeah, you have to check out the future car they have in the movie. It's hilarious. Anyway, I'm the type of guy who rent's some low budget kung fu flick, throws it in the VCR, and expects to see the old school style of kung fu films with the avenging the masters death thing and what not. It's a good rent if they're out of every other movie. I recommend it just for the fight scenes alone.
Aussie Park Boyz (2004)
Not that bad..
I thought the movie was pretty good. Yeah, it did look like it was shot with a camcorder. And the music in the movie sounded like something out of a gay nightclub. Still, you can't deny how realistic the fight scenes were shot. I think the fight scenes alone, compensated for lack of plot, budget, soundtrack, descent actors. Like the fight scene where they first enter prison, or fight scenes near the end where it seemed like they were taking on every gang in Australia.(The Warriors) I like a good plot as much as the next guy, but I'm still going to remain and action movie junkie until the day I die. And this particular movie fits my standards as something I can sit and watch without looking at my watch. Later.
