The Curse of Bridge Hollow (2022)
Stupid. Entertaining
Clicked PLAY on Netflix. Kids age 2-12 years sat throughout the show. Yea it did the work... bcoz they enjoyed it. Adults please, have NO expectations when it comes to these kind of movies. Its not a blockbuster mate. Some scenes cracks you up - some freakin annoys you. Its a low-cost story that made it to the screen. Can chose to brush it off or get totally engaged with it. But that's just how insignificant Halloween and Wayans comedies are ;)
Story comes into the movie pretty quickly. Albeit the lame 'white privilege' joke (I dont think much of) - trying to blend and fit in the science educ with bad jujus overall. Good scares in between the 'maze' run alright.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Should have been 8-10 episodes
The ending was definitely a Disney moment. Good continuation from episode 3. No high expectations. Small neglect spotted but overall the show was enjoyable (wishing for a sequel) The suspense, entrance for an iconic character, fight scenes, actions, emotional moments was captivating. Love the quality.
The Bubble (2022)
Its so stupid LoL
Seemed promising in the beginning. Lots of hilarious wtf moments. Halfway through it got messy and dull (seen or heard before jokes) But I finished it coz it came to a point where you just want to understand the reason and response to certain situation for these spoiled celebs. It had potential if lines and scripts weren't too overstated.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (2010)
Still a favourite for the generations to come
Was one of the most entertaining shows for me as a kid. Now my children, Boys!- are enjoying it. They've been watching the series on Netflix bcoz of lockdown but sadly we only have access to 6 seasons. The show will no longer air on Netflix by end of Jan. Gonna miss it, A LOT! Hope Hasbro can extend their contract, add season 7-9. Pleaseeee.
Red Notice (2021)
Entertaining enough to kill time. No high expectations
(I watched because its got my fav actors), Not a brilliant script, definitely one you can laugh at. Still engaging despite B grade props and settings. Its got amusing scenes and lines.
My Little Pony: A New Generation (2021)
Entertaining for the Family
Had to put this on for my niece and my sons end up enjoying it too! Even in my mid 30's - I did. So this movie is quite the sweet story, fun lines and reaction, has a set of cute characters with wonderful pony personalities. Seriously delightful to watch. Hope they'll continue the trend. The intro scene definitely a winner. Didn't expect it to be that funny! Good job.
Scaredy Cats (2021)
Okay for your lil ones
My son is enjoying the episodes so far, he is 5 yrs old. Dont be too harsh on criticising. The acting can't be anymore bland coz it's a HALLOWEEN KIDS SHOW = SIMPLY IRRATIONAL and SENSELESS, but continue watching it as the story gets witty and engaging.
Shazam! (2019)
DC... please don't
Don't make anymore characters as stupid careless and irritating like Freddy Freeman.
Kid Billy's attitude has some mischievous emo swing, and Shazam's (adult) Billy a cheerleader who got selected for the team ... not convincing they're the same person.
Ive got mixed feelings about the whole production characters and storyline but its definitely entertaining for the kids.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (2020)
5 year old son loves it... don't get too annoyed, ITS A CARTOON.
However, wish the show could improve on the characters behaviour. My son and nephews are able to identify that they make poor decisions and get in trouble. He'd ask "why they dont listen? Why are they naughty?" LoL
It's an addictive show. Grasping adventures and suspense. Kids being mischievous contributes to that i guess. Graphics need to be more realistic for the part when they try to escape death or in a chase, the motion is too slow sometimes but amazing fx work on the dinosaurs!
Hope main characters survive, and we get some episodes with background stories of each of them. Please keep it clean and fun to watch (no teenage falling for friend dramas) :p
The Last Dance (2020)
May seem draggy but enlightening
Michael Jordan
You can can totally unlike him but he is a brilliant man. He's got this dash of psychotic-ness, determination to win - especially when the opponent triggers him. So much passion for the game and his objectives.
Scott Pippin - The Decoy - Sometimes like the proxy character. A lot of sacrifice and respect
But the show takes you back to some amazing personal footage. The captured moments with great storyline. The build up to Chicago Bulls Finale. Fantastic editing work and choice of music. Tragic and heart full episodes. You wont get bored even if you're not a basketball fan. Each player's profile/ confessions can be surprising, shocking, unforeseen, attachable. Understanding where they're coming from and the reasons to why they react or respond how they did. How they're able to recall a match, its score and defence makes great expressions. The interviews with everyone superb! Few child-like quirky behaviours fun to watch scenes. You gotta stay alert during those flashbacks and fast forwards.
It's humanising, clarifying and entertaining. I cannot imagine another team, management and coach with this bond and relationship. The era and pioneer of authenticity. Genuine or pretentious, they made it.
Dolittle (2020)
Messy
The cgi animals were good 'actors'. RDJ's accent was terrible. I don't know which one he was trying pull, honestly I can't understand what he was babbling. The storyline - messy! Jump cuts, no build ups, no thrills or climax. This was lack of action and performance. Quite disappointed.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
So-so
Fight scenes were good. Storyline could have been better. The turtles were funny and cool vfx work on them. I like Megan Fox but pity her character in this one. Seems quite air-headed with strange reaction. She's not able to close her mouth 90% of the time. Its not bad but not good either. On the grey area with... but kids will enjoy it. As an adult, I much prefer the old cartoons and first movie :)
Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2 (2017)
A seriously funny comedy
Im surprised at myself for sitting through it LoL... Its a shame really. No storyline. Weak plot. Bad performance... and Im sure they spent a lot to make this movie. Cinematography was good 👌🏼 If viewers, won't mind wasting an hour/2. This movie may offend some. Due to its content and relationships. Very abnormal Asia-Pacific production.
Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween (2018)
Barf*
Definitely a show for ages 9-12 years LoL. Books were fun to read as a teenager but this movie was painful to watch. The mom (a nurse) was such an airhead that the dummy's even smarter than her. The acting and script for main characters sucks. Most of the scenes made me roll my eyes. Pity the Goosebumps franchise to end like this. Even the cgi/vfx was disappointing. The first was enjoyable to watch. Next time take examples from actors in "It 🤡"(2017)
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
I was entertained so I'll give it a 9... But-
I wish the action / fight scenes were longer - explanations on "time-machine" would've been more profound. More of the bonding sessions - our Heroes long talks and walking down memory lane, I am very fond of this. Nevertheless, Directors Anthony and Joe Russo have crafted a well-paced, character-driven movie event. It will give you goosebumps, holding back any form of excitement or despair, and if you're a Marvel fan you will be geeking out over all the references to iconic comic book moments in there.
Btw... What happened to Loki when he was caught and then managed to get hold of the Tesseract? Or did Capt and IronM go waaay back in time to retrieve it-again? And Oh that All-Female superhero scene! - heading towards enemies (she's not by herself) seemed a lil cheesy for me... Catwalk here and single ladies there LoL - How come our human heroes can breathe on another planet???
Hulk's change of personality was not appealing for his character. Neither was Thor's. Was is a cute-funny thing they were going for? I believe it would have been hilarious if Hulk were to be his angry self and Thor remains the insecure yet masculine God. Viewers may not like Thor's new look, but he needed to be physically 'different' to tone down his Hotness!
Perhaps every confusing bit and unsettling views from everyone for this movie would encourage another finaleee.
AE did not feel like a 3 hours movie at all - Not when you've already invested so much emotion and care into these characters. Thank you so much for a great storyline and performance. Thank you to the writers and artists who were involved in this movie! Almost a perfect wrap up =)
