Barbie (2023)
OVERHYPED
This is a movie that was way overhyped. Everyone kept saying it was so amazing, but when I finally go to watch it, it was not at all what I thought it was going to be. The storyline was not good. It was a basic and corny storyline, in my opinion.
I didn't care for how they portrayed Ken. Ryan Gosling is an amazing actor, but he is not a good representation of Ken when it comes to how he looks and how the actual Ken doll looks. The way he acted as Ken was not that good either, but he didn't get much help from the writers for the way they wrote his part. The movie had so much potential, but was definitely a let down. One positive is that it had some funny parts, but it could of been written much better and could of had a much better storyline!!
Insidious: The Red Door (2023)
Not bad, but not good
A little confusing and storyline wasn't the best, but still a decent continuation to the Insidious series. Had some good jump scares. Insidious 1 & 2 were always my favorite and in my opinion, were the best out all of the Insidious films, so I was happy this movie was about the family who started the series!
Wouldn't mind another film if they include the family or at least Patrick Wilson (Josh Lambert) or Ty Simpkins (Dalton Lambert) and it would be nice if the next film had those 2 and Line Shaye (Elise Rainier). That would be an awesome film and could easily make an awesome storyline with those 3 in it!!
Home Before Dark (2020)
Mystery thriller meets family drama.
Modern Nancy Drew except the girl is a little younger and her passion is news reporting! Keeps you on your toes and guessing right a long with them. The show is loosely based on an actual little girl who wrote news reports so the storyline is very refreshing and different and the cast is very likable. I highly recommend if you like mysteries with a touch of family!
Evil (2019)
BRILLIANT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This show is so brilliant and different. Its a thriller/horror show and it is not a typical thriller/horror. They hit on different aspects of the thriller/horror genre and its very refreshing. The storyline will have you so intrigued!
It was so popular and well received that CBS moved the series from their regular tv network to their new streaming service, Paramount+, because they want more people to pay for that which was very frustrating and disappointing because not every tv channel provider or person or whoever in the world needs to do a streaming service!
In my opinion, CBS should of just kept it on their regular network as well as all of their other Paramount+ original shows or if they didn't want it their then just sell/rent them or whatever to already established streaming services such as Hulu or Netflix!
BUT I will admit I love this show so much I did get the streaming service. It's $5 with ads or $10 without, which is what I have, because she show is DEFINITELY worth it, but not everyone is able get the streaming service and it makes me sad and frustrated for them because this show is BRILLIANT.
iCarly (2021)
Has great potential!
So far the show has the same feel of the original but more mature and more open with its dialogue, characters, & storylines! Pretty funny so far as well! I really love the new character Harper! Will always miss and prefer Sam but Harper is definitely an awesome addition/replacement! The show overall is pretty good, of course has room for improvement, but if the given the chance and effort this show could be amazing!
