Not worth it even if you find Ana De Armas hot

This movie lacks context and story-telling right from the start, probably just made for Apple TV subscriber to show them something this month. Yet, this is not the worst spy movie I have seen in a year (All the old knives is by far the worst). So, If you find Ana too cute and want to see her for ~100 minutes and have few laughs, watch War dogs or Ghost Rider. & Chris Evans will get high ticket crappy movie just coz Marvel gave him a career.

Fun fact: Ana De Armas is the executive producer of this movie, way to waste your money girl and get cast as a lead actress coz apparently Scarlett Johansson has scheduling issue.

Honor Society (2022)

Surprisingly Good!

There is something special about this movie, although it doesn't have great comedy, romance, thrill and star-cast/budget to get a 7 from me but the story telling is so delightful that I couldnt resist. The character development and twist in the movie is delightful and surprising at the same time. I watched this movie because I really like Angourie from The Nice Guys. As mentioned in the other reviews she is really underrated compared to other Young/ teenage celebrities like Millie Bobby, Jenna Ortega etc.

Back to the film, it is very delightful tale of a young ambitious girl who is ambitious and driven yet has a heart of gold which you'll like if you are into that sort of emotional tale.

House of the Dragon: King of the Narrow Sea (2022) Season 1, Episode 4

Slow but effective

This episode is pretty slow and dull compared to the rest but the threads which were woven by the show writers are finally bearing fruit. The various love interest of Rhaenyra are finally addressed and brought some closure, we finally get to see Viserys acting like King and how low people can go to get near the Iron Throne is once again reminded through Dameon's action. The music which was not very instrumental in earlier episodes were also framed nicely, kudos to Ramin Djawadi. I would really like to see how different the short dialogues between characters were compared to books, especially Dameon vs Viserys and Viserys vs Rhaerya because it has lot of potential for further interpretatioms.

The ending was left at a very nice juncture, I really hope the show pick up the action/violence that fans are craving or at least the build to it would be great. Trying hard to avoid spoilers :)

Slow, nothing unexpected

Probably we have watched the GoT so religiously that we expect the treachery and plotting by every character and the fight for the throne that this episode didn't seem too good. It's so hard to judge this show without comparing with GoT.

The acting is top notch and the bond between the Targaryen's is something to admire, let's see how long this continues. There will be blood and it'll be dragon blood. Rhaneyra definitely gives the vibes of Danerys, Otto and Corlys are like the typical king haters looking to extend their or their families lineage and claim to the iron throne. Let's see what happens but I was promised the dance of the dragons, eagerly waiting for a fight between the 🐉🐲

Top Gun: Maverick (2022)

Mediocre movie and I am being honest

This movie follows probably 20 years from top gun 1, but it's the same stuff as before with better VFX and a little thought into putting the story of hitting a enemy uranium facility with fighter planes compared to some make belief pilot competition which nobody has clue how a winner is decided. The story of Rooster (son of goose) is crap, Jennifer Conoly and her daughter is so forced ocz we here her name in the previous movie I guess. The movie shows no regard for Navy-Army rules, basic reasoning and character development just like the first time where Admiral are treated like school principals, you can disobey any orders you feel, most threating cover op is run by bunch of weird pilots who have limited stuff when they can actually bomb the whole facility instead of pin point shooting from 30 ft, plus there is no consequence of this action ever discussed.

I have no idea why this movie is rated over 8.5 in IMDb by 3,00,000 people.

House of the Dragon: The Heirs of the Dragon (2022) Season 1, Episode 1

Good for start, but the expectation is really high from this show.

I know everybody wants to see how good's the 1st episode of this new series of the epic GoT saga, to describe in short: its good, not disappointing setting the context of the show. If you compare like for like, this definitely doesnt have the thrill of the GoTs 1st episode where we caught Cersei and Jamie doing the incest stuff and future His Grace falling from the top lol but this show's episode set the plot without the thrill and suspense nicely.

The best thing is that this episode has started on the same pace as GoT S1E1 but since we now the intentions of the houses for iron throne, we can clearly see there are at least 4 factions trying to sit on the iron throne after Viserys and certainly a little finger type mystery man must be there!

Watcher (I) (2022)

Decent movie, nothing outstanding or exceptional

I liked the movie although I am just giving it 6. I really liked the pace of the movie, but it lacked any sort of extraordinary surprising element after the summary gave the basic idea what the film is about. But, full marks on direction and acting of the lead actress which held the movie in the worth a watch category by ease. I liked the ending, wont give any detail/spoilers lol.

Resurrection (2022)

Neither entertaining nor intriguing

This movie started well, based on the description my expectations were very high to witness something encapsulating in terms of thrill, mystery or horror but it fails to deliver in any aspect. The director tried to be too clever with the ending but as the whole movie it was dull and uninspired.

Rebacca is a decent actress but the rest of the cast is below par.

The Gray Man (2022)

Poorly written and the same cliched spy story

Classic Netflix junk of 2020s where you create a movie out of popular good looking actors so the platform has something new this month. The movie is the typical protagonist spy finding out how the agency he works for is trying to kill him, while miserably failing to do so when they have a 10000:1 advantage. There is one scene where the henchmen hired by CIA destroys the whole city of Prague and murdered atleast 50 cops except the only guy they were there to murder who apparently was handcuffed to a bench. Even worse was hiring a Indian origin superstar to connect with Indian audience, whose character grows a conscience when these henchmen he is working with for long tries to kill a innocent child. Brother, these guys ransacked whole city infront of you killing hundreds of cops hours ago, didn't you grow a moral then?

Must avoid, save your time. Watch Jason Bourne again!

All the Old Knives (2022)

Worst CIA agent movie ever

Spoiler Alert!

I have never seen or heard a CIA agent sacrificing lives of 100s of people for a woman he loves, because she will at the worst case get killed. This is the thing which they are trained for I guess, but the script writer and director were so bullish in making this a love story they forgot the most basic stuff how the spy agency works. PS the love cast is so dreadful, Chris Pine 9/10, while that old woman is 3/10 at best which is so hard to digest.
