Overall, a pretty bad film
23 May 2021
The trailer looked much better than what the film actually is. The acting is pretty bad, with a few exceptions. The humor, is not really funny (The Tig Notaro, or the German guy's lines, were not funny at all), rather full of clichés. I think overall, a lot of people will be disappointed, I guess we expected a much more interesting film.

Uneasy about the premise of that ending.
30 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was sort of ok, it's a bit boring the fact that we never really know what happened on earth. The worst part of the film is, without a doubt, the ending. I mean, both Sully and the captain survive, and they will go to the new planet where they will give birth to their aughter. And who's the daughter going to reproduce with ...? It's not smart to play Adam and Eve if you don't have a solution for what will end up being... incest.

Black mirror?
5 October 2020
I really liked it, but I have to admit, it seems a lot like Black Mirror, the dangers of technology in our times.

Let's see what the second episode brings.

I was pleasantly surprised by this
4 October 2020
I was not very enthusiastic about this TV show, but I started it and was pleasantly surprised. The people who say 'it's full of clichés' probably don't have a lot of french friends.

It's light, funny, the people and the scenery are beautiful. Kudos to Lilly Collins, she does a pretty good job, you immediately know she's not an annoying american, but a driven young woman.

Incredible weird ... in a good way
12 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I've always found Japanese series pretty interesting, the visuals, the editing and the overall creeepiness.

I must admit I've seen A LOT of TV in my life, and this ranks at least in the top ten of weird things I've witnessed, from the Spontaneous human combustion passing through the 'parallel time dimensions' up to the phone in the belly. I really liked that weirdness, however the plot could have been a bit more solid.

Not for the PC crowd.

Warning: Spoilers
I have to admit that I liked the film, I know, guilty pleasure. The plot is not crazy, gangsters are probably that eccentric. I know a lot of people watched it because of the sex, it could have been better in my opinion. The two leads were extremely good looking people. I just didn't like that ending, since it was pure fantasy, we could have gotten a happy ending.

Now, into the serious stuff: She was not kidnapped, she was at the beginning merely being held hostage, nothing else. And she got into the game really fast ( because IT IS NOT REAL LIFE, IT'S FANTASY). The story was more the rich guy who spoils the pool girl, rather than the monster who kidnapped the girl.

I'm glad we're listening to other languages, other accents of other type of scenery.

Cruelty at it's best
30 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, I liked the movie. A lot of people here is saying the film is boring, slow, etc etc, it's clearly not for people who fall asleep easily.

The last moment of Alicia Silverstone in screen at the beginning of the film was shocking in a good way ( And I don't get shocked easily, I've seen countless films and series in my lifetime). Now, why the name of my review has the word 'cruelty'? Those two kids were truly cruel. Ever since the very beginning of the film you could tell they really didn't like the step-mom, it was very telling when the little girl was at the car when they were on their way to dad's house and she tells her mom: "Is she gonna be there?... She's such a retard"; they didn't realize until the very last minute that all the tragedy (the dog, the dad, the step-mom state of mind) was all their fault, and I must admit, I'm kinda glad she killed them at the end, they deserved it.

Couldn't finish it
14 February 2020
I knew there was going to be a lot of 'I'm a woman, hear me roar', but of course I wanted to give it a chance. First scene, unbearable, and then the conversation in Hamburg, I couldn't go further.

This was terrible. I can't picture how the rest of the film was.

Boring to death
17 November 2019
This series has a couple of interesting things: The visuals seem quite real and authentic, the make up is good, the Mandalorian's personality starts developping in just two episodes, which is pretty good for character development, baby Yoda is the cutest thing ever... however, the series is terribly boring, whatever's happening in the plot is far from interesting.

Started good, bit of a disappointment at the end.
31 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I like a good part of this show, it maintains the essence of the film. The girl who plays Hanna does a good job, but in my opinion the real star is Erik Heller, he can portray emotions quite easily, and we feel it. He dies at the end, so I don't know who this is going to hold for a second season.
