A Holiday Spectacular (2022)
Politically Correctness vs Reality
Although overall I enjoyed this movie, once again, Hallmark sacrifices reality for inclusivity. The movie takes place in 1958.
Over all, most of the acting was pretty good. I thought the lead actress is quite talented. As usual, the movie is pretty people wearing pretty clothes, and going to pretty places.
My biggest quibble is that
one of the Rockettes is a Black woman who says she has been with the troupe for 10 years. The first African-American Rockette wasn't actually hired until 1988. I realize Hallmark is not the History Channel, but they are trying too hard to "be all things to all people".
Amazing Winter Romance (2020)
Just Average
Love Jessy Schram, but there is no chemistry between her and Marshall Williams.
Rome in Love (2019)
When in Rome...
This is typical Hallmark Fare. I love Italia Ricci, but as another review mentioned, there was no chemistry between her and Peter Porte. One of my ongoing complaints about Hallmark movies is about using actors who can't maintain there accent consistently.
Also, Italia throws her coin into
the Fountain of The Four Rivers (Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi) not the Trevi Fountain!
Love and Sunshine (2019)
Great Cast
Although this film follows the tupical Hallmark formula, the talented cast makes the predictable journey fun to watch. My one nitpick is casting Bess Armstrong as Mark Deklin's mom. She is only 14 years older than he is, and doesn't look old enough to be his mom.
Just My Type (2020)
Typical Hallmark Fare
Attractive people, beautiful scenery, what's not to like?
Tiny sort of spoier.
When "someone" who has only written on a word processer sits down to use an antique typewriter which has an alphabetic keyboard, the someone just types rapidly away. It's not that easy to switch from years of QUERTY to alphabetic!
Outlander: Famous Last Words (2020)
Not One of The Best Episodes
The old fashioned movie projector thing was silly.
