Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Chapters: Special 2 (2023)
Decent ending, just not the right execution. Regardless, AOT goes down as a Masterpiece
I am a huge AOT lover, and regard this show as the Greatest of all time, but even I have to admit that ending had seriously major flaws. Its not the ending which is the main issue here, the ending was decent, and I liked the strong message it delivered, but its the subpar and sloppy execution which was the main problem with this episode. This was surprising because since the very beginning, AOT always valued realism, character development, plot direction, great dialogues, exploring real life themes, yet in this final episode this all felt rushed with out of place characters, unbelievable plot armor and a style which is totally uncharacteristic of what AOT does.
That said, still I wouldnt call it a total flop because AOT did finish on a strong note. Sure the ending was unsatisfying and filled with plot holes but it was also mad realistic. I mean the whole series is a political thriller and evolved to be about the fact that there are always people who think they have reasons to fight, so they will always eventually make the same mistakes, hence war never ends and people (especially children) continue to suffer. And the cycle continues. Its mad realistic and scary realization to how we are in the real world. That said, even though the cycle of hatred may be destined to repeat, we should remember and cherish the little things that bring us happiness while we are still alive. This world is cruel, but when its not, its beautiful. So we should always rebel against this cruel world. Thats what Attack on Titan was all about.
I just hope now people dont belittle and downgrade all the work and effort put up into this fine series up until this point just because the ending didnt meet their expectations. The writing and plot in the world of Shingeki no Kyojin is itself so complex, so ending a complex story such as this one which satisfies all viewers seems like an impossible task. Despite the underwhelming ending, Attack on Titan is still one of the finest works of art with one of the greatest stories ever told. We should be thankful really that we got this beautiful masterpiece and how it made us feel over the years. Cant believe its finally over.
Itterasshai Eren.
Death Note: Desu nôto: Chinmoku (2007)
Sad, tragic and Depressing
L aka Ryuzaki was the heart and soul of this show. He knew since beginning that Light was Kira. The way he died without having the opportunity to reveal that crooked culprit and how he died, watching that evil smile of Light, was very depressing, tragic and disturbing to watch.
This episode also shows Light is truly an evil person. From day one, he acts like the master of life and death with no regards to everyone. It really bugs me that a character as devilish like this has such a strong fan base when there is nothing to appreciate (apart from his 150 IQ mind thanks to writers extreme blessing). He is apathic, evil, unlikable and fake af. Whats there to like? I really hope he finally meets his end as he deserves.
Death Note: Desu nôto: Donten (2006)
My two cents on this...
Hear me out when I say this. Death Note has the perfect base plot, in fact one of the best out there, and very unique in terms of concept, story and symbolism. But what really bugs me in this episode is the below par execution of a character death which should have been more naturally and better executed.
Naomi Misora is a former FBI agent, and is shown to be a person of high intellect and intelligence, yet she is completely dumbfounded, brainfaded even, when she is having conversation with Kira. Either, she shouldnt have been portrayed as a former FBI agent with insane deductive skills (just 2 episodes prior) and now she is so easily manipulated and tricked by a high school student, who maybe a highly intelligent one, but still an amateur in front of an FBI agent. Yet, he spins the conversation in his favour out of absolutely nothing EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. (as if Death Note has also given him Godly Manipulative Powers) which takes away from the uniqueness of that character. It almost seems like the writer is forcefully trying to showcase Light as the Master Strategist, when realistically he should let the plot flow out naturally.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami (2019)
Insults your Intelligence. Just Pathetic
Dont get me wrong I am the type of person who would take good story building over flashy animations all day. I have watched a ton of shows and few animes (like the Goat AOT, FMAB, Spy x Family) but this one, it absolutely is rubbish.
There is absolutely no story here. The main character is a superman with little training who would get anything he wants. As bland and generic as it gets. It looks like a generic show for mere kids, no wait... it even insults the kids' intelligence. Thats how terrible it is.
And to think anime fans were putting it in the same sentence as AOT. I will never ever understand anime fans and their mental level.
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Chapters: Special 1 (2023)
The greatest 1 hour Masterpiece ever experienced
Everyone... we are witnessing history being made here.
As an anime-only, I gotta be honest I was a bit skeptical at first walking into this special episode heaving heard all about the ending, but man ohh man, how it surpassed all expectations, and did it so effortlessly as ever. I would go even further to say this that after this episode, AOT has transcended any form of TV entertainment to become the greatest masterpiece ever created and experienced.
I am not ready for it to end this year. It has been one amazing journey for all of us. Huge respect to all those especially Isayama the madlad for bringing this great story to life. This MASTERPIECE will be remembered for generations to come. Truly GOATED and etched in History.
House of the Dragon: The Black Queen (2022)
Great build to the story with some epic Dragonstone Cinematography
The writers are attempting to tell the "real" story compared to the ones written by biased maesters. It's inspired writing, though risky as hell as they can easily change the direction of the story from going skywards to diving into the god's eye in flames.
Its sad and tragic that The actual Dance of Dragons is actually caused by the Dragons and not Targaryens. In the book, Aemond kills poor Luke intentionally, but here he lost control of his dragon and looks totally perplexed over what havoc he has caused. Aemond is a meance but a calculating sociopath. I mean why should Aemond be a one dynamic character, just pure evil? I feel it adds more layers of depth to character and allows a lot more reactions and emotion to be shown. Especially to the outcome and direct response from this action. It's more compelling, to see that he went to far with his ego and now realizing what how he took it too far. So it made complete sense to show him already processing what he is going to tell them upon his return, especially when the negotiations are in place and there is yet for either side to hit the first bloody strike.
Also, the scene was to enforce what Viserys said earlier in the season that dragons can never truly be tamed and the fact they think they control the dragons is a mere illusion.
Another great example is of our Black Queen, Rhaenyra. Even though she has the right to the throne and even (literally) had the chance to crush Otto and declare war, she restrained herself and realized her role in the big picture: that is, to uphold her promise to her dear father and keep the realm in peace. She had done the same and avoided bloodshed earlier too when some years ago Daemon had stolen her Dragon's eggs (for attention seeking purposes ofcourse). This just heightens and elevates Rhaenyra's character.
In short, they're trying to humanize all the characters and show how the atrocities of history still happen even when people aren't caricatures of good and evil. It's being done to keep people on either green or red side. To make everything have a argument for both sides. They do very wrong things, feel guilt, but then surround themselves in armor of rightness and defend their own actions no matter how insane.
House of the Dragon: The Lord of the Tides (2022)
Paddy Considine with the best performance of whole GOT series
This show is finally living upto GOT, breaking all kinds of barriers and setting the tone for what we expect from Emmy worthy performances, good writing, amazing effects, and extraordinary costumes.
First lets acknowledge and praise the Emmy worthy, stellar performance of Paddy Considine's portrayal of Viserys Targaryen.... man what amazing justice done to this fine character. He was amazing, from his first breath to his last gasp. His most powerful moment came during his weakest moment, during the petition for Driftwood throne. The moment he entered the throne room to support his daughter Rhaenyra... even tho he was so weak.. felt so emotional. When I tell you I was SOBBING from the throne room scene to his death. He had such a peaceful reign and to his last breath, he did everything he could to keep the peace and make things right. That man just loved his daughter and wife so much. I'm so glad that he died with the idea that he did keep the peace. What a character. What an actor. Hats off to Paddy Considine for such a remarkable performance. He is like what Sean Bean was for Game of Thrones. A character we will all talk about for many more seasons to come. Deserves an EMMY surely for his epic portrayal of Viserys !!
Also, I love Daemon more and more each epiaode. That moment wen Daemon helped him up the steps an placed the crown back on his head, proves he loved his brother and is all about family. Doesn't speak much, but still a badass every scene. Actors who can say volumes without saying a word of dialog are so wonderful to watch, and the way Matt Smith plays this character is best example of that.
House of the Dragon: Driftmark (2022)
The Blacks vs The Greens: The seeds of war have been planted
Man this episode had so much going on! We had a fire Targaryen wedding (pun intended) and a funeral, We had uncle and niece incest, We got a kid who learned how to train his dragon, We got a gang fight, a chick fight, We got a guy who went into the witness protection program, good stuff !!
The only thing which isnt making any sense here though is Ser Crispy Cole and his bitterness over a rejection a whole long 10 years ago. A knight of the kingsguard should not be indulging in such political matters anyways, and I am absolutely hating why he is given such importance limelight in the current circumstances thats being portrayed.
One again Viserys proving he possesses a gentle heart and thats exactly his weakness. The way he stands up for his grandchildren was everything. Too bad that no one in his family sees it that way.
I especially feel bad for Rhaenys and Corlys. Its pretty cruel to leave them thinking that right after their daughter's funeral, their only son also "died"?
Although this episode still had minor plot holes, I appreciate how many different emotions this one evoked, the excitement of claiming Vhagar, the tense and emotional confrontation of the mothers, the satisfaction of Rhaenyra finally marrying her beloved uncle.
House of the Dragon: The Princess and the Queen (2022)
Too Rushed !! The show is losing its charm and worth !!
Dont get me wrong, the House of the Dragon started off so beautifully, setting up a great pre GOT world, revisiting the great Targaryen dynasty in its full glow and with great introduction to characters... and then the time jump happens.... with no proper build up or gateway into the new decade. It begs the simple question Why the heck is everybody doing what they are doing ?
I feel like I am watching the whole story in fast forward. I wanted some moments with Rhaenyra and Ser Harwin to see how their relationship developed, also more moments with Leana and Leanor too. Thats the main problem the show is suffering from; Not enough back story, to make these episodes meaningful and characters deaths tragic.
Ser Harwin dying so casually made me realize that the jumps in time are kind of a detriment to the emotional weight of the show. Still well crafted and well written, but the timeline goes so fast that I found it hard to be invested in him as a character. His death is a sad event, but it wasnt as devastating as it could have been. Kind of wish the show saved the jumps for in between seasons, so I can actually get time to get invested in these characters.
Ser Crispin holding that grudge with Rhaenyra for over 10 years is absurd af. And lets not ignore how easily he got away with murdering a knight and knocking Ser Laenor at the royal feast. This character of beta male aka Sir Criston is getting on my nerves as it baffles me how he is given more importance over more interesting characters like Ser Harwin, Laena Velaryon etc... Just get rid of whiny Ser Criston, in the world of GOT he would have been a goner already.
And yeah, lets talk about Rhaenyra for a moment, the once Realm Delight. Its not the actress but the character flaw really. I hate what the character of Rhaenyra has evolved into: from what once was a badass independent and charming heir to an absolute careless and delusional lady who just wants to ascend the iron throne just to be labelled as QUEEN;. Every act of defiance by her is unnecessary. She wants to be the first woman to sit on the throne but never shows why it SHOULD be her.. and to further endanger her claim to the throne by giving birth to illegitimate sons is crazy. This woman is now very unserious and seems frankly unintelligent. I didnt expect that having watched the earlier portrayal of Rhaenyra by Milly in earlier 5 episodes. She definitely doesnt live up to fierce, ruthless, or intimidating reputation any longer the Targaryens have.
Also, the way that croooked midget is scheming against his own family and house and even killing them so brutally without any clear motives doesnt make sense either, when all families in GOT world care about supremacy of their house and bond between their blood.
Still enjoying the show regardless, but just TELL THE STORY and give it the time it deserves.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Retrospective (2022)
Hange: "He (Magath) did it so that we can save one life of a stranger"
And to save that life of a stranger, you have to take the life of your very own??? What non-sense !!
I mean what's the point of being a hero at the cost of lives of your own people?
Hear me out Fandom !! As a die hard AOT fan who have been regarding this show even better than Breaking Bad and GOT, its just sad and heartbreaking to see how this final arc is playing out: Full of contradictions and hypocrisies.
For example, Remember not so long ago in ep 76 when Connie had outburst on Eren on his euthanasia plan ? Now the same Connie along with other Hange Squad are just obliterating their "own countrymen" for the world who are willing to perish their whole fkn race !!!
Idc what anyone says, but they have absolutely massacred Hange (my most favorite character), Levi, Mikasa and my boy Armin. Used to adore all four of them but they have so turned themselves into circus clowns, to the point they look high on some $h! T, its crazy how naive and stupid Isayama had made them into. Also, Jean who is a bit more wise than the others was supposed to tell the absurdity of this plan and should be neutral or whatever. But nevertheless, he is also being delusional ?? Have they even pondered Just how Marley and the rest of the world will annihilate Paradis if they succeed with this "sAvE tHe WoRLd" plan ??
Because what the Alliance is doing and by Alliance I mean the traitor gang is doing i.e. Rejecting the cycle of hatred, this will never be fulfilled. The cycle of hate realistically will continue on because the world will brutally retaliate and look to perish all Subjects of Ymir just so that Rumbling cant ever happen again. So, by siding with their enemies, they are simultaneously threatening Paradis also and willing to die like a slave, and thats what Eren hates: slave mentality. He thinks he is born into this world, so he will fully enact his right to fight (Tatakae) and thats why he also manipulated hi father to stand up and fight, because he cannot just simple offer his life on a platter to Marley. He will necessarily do what needs to be done and that is to fight at all cost. Till his death, and even after his Death.
Never in a day I thought I would say this about the wise Hange and Armin, even Floch is looking more believable. True to his ideals and homeland and atleast better than Mikasa and Reiner who always act without any sense and then get shaky and regret it and don't even know what they want and why are they doing this. Like for example, Mikasa still doesn't know if she can kill Eren while hanging out with the same people who want to kill him.
Apart from that, the animation was God-tier and the ost as always was masterpiece. I know I am a little enraged over how this final arc is playing out, but still wanna see how the later episodes play out. After all, I am an AOT fan who just have this honest opinion and can't see my favorite show to be downgraded like this.
Peace.
Shingeki no Kyojin: From You, 2000 Years Ago (2022)
The most GOD-Tier and terrifying a show has ever been in TV history!!!!
Holy hell this episode was pure SPECTACLE !! And this cements AOT as the most iconic and single GREATEST show in not just anime but TV Cinematic history. Eren's voice when talking to all the Eldians was so menacing. Those ominous vocals literally made it look like the DEVIL and his army is rising from hell.
Perfectly captures the horror of seeing thousands of Colossal titans "break free" from the wall and start their heelish jogging. Its the most terrifying an anime scene can ever been.
Also, small details like Mikasa barely hearing Eren somewhat put into perspective how loud everything must have been. And all the while, Armin despite the shocking sight revelation before him, is doing his absolute best to reassure both Mikasa and himself that Eren is doing this to protect them.
And thus, the episode ends... on the face of the true DEVIL OF ALL EARTH: Eren Jaegar.
Its safe to say this show is now part of the TV history, and will be remembered as Peak Fiction, from now and 2000 more years to come.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Judgment (2022)
The Greatest show in TV history is back with a BANG
This is one of the last opportunities we're going to get for viewing and appreciating the masterpiece in TV creation history that is AOT. MAPPA with the new and better CGI just continues flexing.
I really hope we can respect the viewing experience of all the unspoilered anime-onlies who have miraculously made it this far. Its truly been a wonderful hell of a ride.
Shingeki no Kyojin: A Sound Argument (2021)
Fantastic plot builder
Love the fact that Eren is so clear and laser-focused in his mind. The state of the Scouts and Paradis is so complex. Here is where Eren's thirst for freedom and willingness to fight comes through; it allows him to make the tough calls that noone else can make.
Also, the intensity that conversation between Connie and Sasha carried tho. It was so intense that your brain will hurt from seeing their high IQ conversation lol.
Shingeki no Kyojin: The War Hammer Titan (2021)
The hunted have become the hunters !!
The story telling of this fkn show is insane... They have four episodes of building the mainland characters so you care about them two episodes of tension building and then this episode which is just straight carnage. God I love this show!
Shingeki no Kyojin: Declaration of War (2021)
The Epitome of Peak fiction
How can you continually elevate the audience's intrigue and investment in the story after 3 seasons of thrill after thrill? Destroy the audience's perceptions of the world to make them reflect on their own feelings ??
Now we're left questioning ourselves: who or what do we cheer for at this point? There's no obvious "good guys win" scenario, so it's even that much more difficult to speculate where the story goes.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Attack Titan (2019)
Pinnacle of storytelling Masterpiece
What I love about this season on top of all of that is how everything revealed this season only elevates the previous ones, revealing hidden plot threads that were running but that we didn't have enough information to truly spot, and allowing us to focus on different aspects of the story and world that would have been ignored before.
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Other Side of the Wall (2019)
Thats how you deliver a fanservice beach episode !!
I was literally ecstatic seeing everyone screaming with joy and discovering the ocean right in front of their own eyes. Mikasa was too adorable, and so was Armin's smile. Most of all, even we could get crazy Hange once gain at the very end. They've all been through so much you could almost forget how precious these dorks are.
Important to note that the shell was no plaything - it was Isayama's last gift to us. It symbolizes the whole tragic fate of the Eldians of Paradis, who literally used a part of themselves to build a wall for their protection. The curse of every shelled creature: it can't live outside its shell.
Overall, this finale is even better than a 'fanservice' beach episode as it stays crucial to the plot, while portraying the light and fun side of characters as they rejoice the freedom and experience the fresh sea breeze for the first time everrr !!
Shingeki no Kyojin: That Day (2019)
Ohh My God !! Can it get more incredible than this??
Up until this point we saw the main character's mother die brutally while crying for her son, characters we attached to squashed like flies, a city protected from impending doom with the power of friendship, betrayals by dear comrades, and death of humanity's most powerful leader, and the story has only just begun! Isayama man, what a writer.
The mystery and the show itlself just fkn upped itself to the highest level.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Midnight Sun (2019)
That silence was more haunting than any soundtrack ever produced. 100/10
This is probably still the most disturbing episode I've ever seen, anime or not. It is tense, heavy and hits like a truck. Unlike the two previous ones which very very dynamic. They managed to convey that feeling of dread and unease among the survivors. I'm glad the show and it's creators recognize that the absence of sound can be just as powerful, if not more powerful, than the inclusion of music.
Shingeki no Kyojin: The Basement (2019)
Mind blown.
Its literally a whole new world out there. I would have NEVER thought in a million years that there was another civilization where technology is actually futuristic. As if the current arc wasn't any brilliant, but this show yet again is about to outclass itself soon.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Hero (2019)
"On that day, Titans received a grim reminder. They lived in the fear of Levi"
At one point, it seemed so hopeless that I actually waiting for a possible deus ex machine that could happen to save the Scout Regiment, or they could bum rush the basement and find some miracle there.
Nobody foresaw that Armin and Erwin would figure out a way to defeat the titans using just pre-existing information:
1. There is a ring of titans around the Beast Titan that can be used to ODM from the wall to Zeke.
2. The recruits can provide a perfect distraction by charging on horseback.
3. Levi being a fkn OP.
4. The Colossal Titan uses its muscles to generate steam
5. Eren can make a hardened crystal shell of himself.
6. Armin the Chad like always being the bravest and wisest of them all.
The quality of writing in this arc is truly exceptional. And seriously I will never not adore Levi and Armin. What a group of madmen !!
Shingeki no Kyojin (2013)
Prepare for one hellll of a ride for not just the best anime, but one of the best shows in TV history !!
Oh mannn.... if you haven't watched this show yet and planning to watch it for the first time, I envy you because this show right here is the best work of art ever produced, not just in anime industry, but in the history of TV. Having watched amazing movies and series, its really not an exaggeration to say this that Attack on Titan is easily above bar with Game of Thrones and on par with Breaking Bad. The show primarily is focused on the struggle of humanity against giant man-eating titans, but trust me it has a lot more to offer, depicting the elements of human behaviour and strong emotions in both peaceful and adverse situations: friendship, betrayal, love, humour, enmity, leadership, compliance, battle tactics, sacrifice; it has literally everything. The animations are breathtaking, the soundtrack is magnificent, the pace of the story is perfect, plus the best part is the writing and storytelling which is top-notch that one can only admire and praise. The characters including both major and minor ones are so well written and portrayed, and their character development as well as the series progress is also commendable and awe inspiring such that people simply care about them all. The amount of foreshadowing in this show makes one wonder if the writer has prepared the ending well before writing the beginning.
To conclude, this majestic piece of art has surpassed every bit of expectations, and this timeless masterpiece is a must watch for everyone and for all people of all ages and regions.

Erwin... man What a Natural Leader !!
"RAGE MY SOLDIERS
SCREAM MY SOLDIERS
FIGHT MY SOLDIERS
BECAUSE THAT IS THE SOLE WAY...WE CAN REBEL AGAINST THIS CRUEL WORLD!! "
Best speech in the history of whole Humanity !! Goosebumps all over !! To make that speech when you know you're riding to your deaths. Erwin, man, what a natural leader. I wouldn't mind one bit if Erwin is my leader and he rallies me to death.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Descent (2019)
Did Hange... did she ??
This masterpiece anime won't stop outdoing itself I swear to god, this episode was nuts from start to finish. What's most epic is that they do all this in 15 minutes what GOT can't figure out to do in an hour and half. God save Hange, she is too good for this cruel world.
