The Walking Dead: The Day Will Come When You Won't Be (2016)
Empty, shallow, torture & violence. This episode doesn't match the tone of previous episodes. Feels out of place.
I've seen gruesome torture movies like Martyrs and Irreversible, so watching this episode wasn't shocking for me. It was actually rather boring, senseless, empty, and shallow. This episode is not what Walking Dead was about, so it felt out of place. First six seasons weren't about torture scenes. It was about survival, grouping up, scrounging, and what it feels like for the world to stop working, not about torture scenes.
For the writers to all of a sudden throw in extreme torture feels lazy. It's obvious the writers ran out of ideas, and had to resort to senseless violence. Season 6 was dragging. Writers knew it was dragging, and resorted to this crap out of desperation.
If I wanted to watch a torture flick, I'll just go re-watch Martyrs or Irreversible.
Now two of the most interesting characters are dead. So, what's the motivation for watching now? More emotional torture at torment? If so, then this wasn't even that good. There are movies that do emotional abuse ten times better, I could just go watch those.
Writers should not try to make the show into something it's not.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021)
Teela is so mannish.
It was very distracting. I'm not sure why so many video games and now cartoons are making such ugly women. What did we do wrong to deserve this? The human male likes hot women. What's the big deal? I tried so hard to focus on the story, but my god, Teela was just ... Good lord. I tried, I really tried.
Maleficent (2014)
Great CGI. Great acting. Great Production Values. Horrible Story.
This story made no sense. So the King grew up loving her, couldn't bring himself to kill Maleficent, but was fine with cutting off her wings? What?
The King sends his daughter to be protected away from the castle? What? If she was under constant guard, she could've been stopped from walking into the spindle room of doom.
So she magically walks towards a room full of broken spindle things, and some mysterious force assembles one so she can prick her finger? WTF?!
Her father dies and she mentions nothing of it?
Aurora doesn't ask about her mother.
At the end, that prince kid just shows up out of no where, wtf?
The father shows no love for his daughter at all, wtf?
This is some of the worst writing I've seen in a while.
Everything else was great though and was the saving grace for the movie, but that script is awful. It ruined what could've been an amazing film.
Enter the Void (2009)
Couldn't watch because it shows the protagonist blinking constantly, too annoying.
I was willing to put up with the constant color flashing, but the movie is shown from a first person perspective of the main protagonist, and they keep showing his eyes blinking. It was too annoying and I couldn't focus on the movie. It's a shame because it looked interesting, but I just couldn't get past the blinking. Imagine watching a movie and it just constantly cuts out to blank for a second or two, it's too distracting.
The guys who made this movie don't understand that a blink is something that happens so fast you don't even realize it.
Blink your eyes right now, you won't even notice you've blinked them, meaning you don't see one-two seconds of darkness as portrayed in the movie.
Stupid decision, truly stupid.
Monster Hunter (2020)
If you like survival, escapism, fantasy, beautiful strong babe, Pitch Black, Riddick, you'll love this.
The wrong people rated this movie. It's easily an 8 or 9 for what it's meant to be.
The target audience for this movie are those looking for a fantastical escape, thrust into a survival situation. It's A LOT of fun if you're into this genre.
If you liked the movie Pitch Black (2000) and Riddick (2013), you'll love this.
Watch, turn your brain off and have a good time. It's more of a fun escape.
Replicas (2018)
It's worth watching. It's something new, refreshing and out of the norm.
After a while it's like you've seen all the same movies, tropes, themes, etc. This movie offers something fresh and it keeps you interested through out the entire film. Although its rushed, that's fine, because everything that happens throughout the film is interesting and makes you think. If you love sci-fi, this is an easy watch, you'll be entertained. The acting does suffer at some points, but it's easily forgivable.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
You have to suspend too much disbelief.
A lot of the action scenes were fun, but a lot were also too unbelievable. Okay fine, I can forgive that, but the ending made no sense. The ending requires a level of disbelief so high it ruins the experience. The twist at the end also made no sense. The ending was a terrible setup that doesn't make me want to see John Wick 4 if they make it. I purposely left out spoilers, but the biggest take away from this review is you're gonna have to suspend a massive amount of disbelief. You have to sacrifice too much realism and logic, it just doesn't work. I'm normally fine with suspending a little disbelief, I'm not unreasonable, but they went overboard in this 3rd installment. There's a few points where the enemy has full control over killing John Wick, it made no sense. They purposely showed him mercy, but not just a little mercy, it's like they wanted to be killed by John Wick, it didn't work.
I still recommend watching this movie, but you'll be disappointed unless you're a master in the arts of suspending disbelief.
In my opinion, if you google "suspension of disbelief", it should show John Wick 3 on the Wikipedia page that explains suspension of disbelief.
Babylon 5: War Without End: Part Two (1996)
One of the greatest bits of continual writing ever.
Imagine being a writer and creating a show where in the first season you leave a ton of hints building up to an ultimate climax in season three, because you had everything so well though out. Such writing is almost unheard of even in today's TV shows. Now a days you have writers who go just make things up as the show goes along, coming up with something new season by season, but Babylon 5 knew what it was from season 1 all the way to season 4. This is why Babylon 5 will always be remembered for being far ahead of it's time. This is story continuity done right!
Ready Player One (2018)
I love how the movie ignores real world problems and focuses on the escape.
The whole point of an escape fantasy is to get away from real life BS like politics, strife, stress, etc. A lot of SJW's don't understand that. This movie was a breathe of fresh air. When the world is so messed up, sometimes you just need to escape from it. Imagine if all escape fantasies focused on just making you escape instead of reminding you of all the garbage you see on real life TV. I loved this movie so much. It reminds me of one of the reasons I support Gamergate, so content creators are always free to make content from their heart & soul to help viewers escape into an alternate reality, and you can just forget about your problems within those 2 hours without having politics shoved down your throat every two seconds. What a fantastic escape movie. It reminded me of all my favorite movies & games growing up, all my favorite music, it just hit home in all the right places. Still, when you think about it, that virtual world they hook into is pretty open ended, so I'm sure you can visit places where there are politics if you chose to. I'm sure SJW's are in that world too which is cool too, but I'd avoid them at all costs or pk them and take all their gold and loot like in good ole Ultima Online.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Trying my hardest
Lead character gives a somewhat stale performance similar to Kate Mulgrew. The show just isn't that great. DS9 was my favorite. STD went overboard with the SJW stuff. Everything looks like one big artificial, soulless, lifeless, diversity checklist. Instead of focusing on getting great actors, their race or gender seemed to be more important. This show feels like a conduit for left wing political propaganda on steroids. I'm trying, but I may soon give up on the show.
Death Wish (2018)
Movie critics are influenced by SJW politics.
Movie critics definitely got this one wrong and it's because of their SJW politics. This movie was fantastic and is a testament to Bruce Willis's presence and potential on screen. He's definitely back and better than ever. The movie isn't afraid to take chances and risks. It kept me highly entertained the entire time.
Annihilation (2018)
Diversity checklist, black check, white check, hispanic, check, hijab check
Inclusion, representation and diversity is more important than making a good movie. That about sums up Annihilation. The visuals were outstanding, but there were many moments I just LOL when I shouldn't be. The end of the movie was awful. Nothing makes sense, it's very incoherent. The movie is SOOOOO SLOW and bored me to tears.
Natalie Portman is hot even without make up, but the rest of the women seemed like lesbians.
The back story of the relationship was the most boring thing I've ever been exposed to in film in the last few years. I guess SJW'ing is more important than coming up with a good idea for a movie.
You gotta fulfill that diversity quota first and foremost. You have to appease the liberal, leftist sociologists first.

The Vampire Diaries (2009)
Would've given it a 9/10 if it wasn't for the annoying vocals of the music.
Imagine you're watching a stage play in a theater with very talented actors & actresses. You feel their emotions, their pain, their happiness, but then some dude in the audience behind you starts singing on his guitar and moaning and mumbling out loud how his girlfriend broke his heart. ANNOYING. I'd turn around and ask the guy to STFU. So while you're trying to focus on the story, the characters and their moment, the vocals of the music they use breaks immersion. Don't get me wrong, I like emotional vocal music, but you can't do both IMO. Do you want to focus on the emotions of the characters and their intense moment or do you want to feel the emotion of the singer? IMO you can't do both. Fortunately they don't play vocals over all the scenes. There are some very intense scenes where they have instrumental music and you can feel and focus on the emotions of the actors. It's funny, during the most important scenes they know better than to play cheesy vocal music. If I could somehow turn off all the vocal music, I would've given the show a 9/10. The actors deserved better than to have annoying teeny bop vocal music played over them. There was lots of Tokenism in Season 7 & 8. They're trying to do the diversity and inclusion crap, but it just resulted in poorly written characters and using under qualified actors.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)
Season 1 is unbelievably bad, horribly written.
I can't get over how bad season 1 is so far. How is this the same person who wrote firefly? This makes no sense. I can't even believe this was on TV. Every episode in season 1 so far is a poorly written mess. There are so many things that don't make sense. I'm not looking for problems, but they're so obvious it ruins everything. Why do people like this show? I'm trying very hard to get into it. Everyone says Season 2 gets better, we'll see. Season 1 is unbearably bad. I don't think I'm going to make it to season 2.
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Finally, characters I can relate to.
Visuals that completely capture the imagination in 3D at 120-150FPS at 120 refresh rate. The best 3D experience I've ever seen. As a fan of Mass Effect 1,2,3 I enjoyed the AI aspect immensely. I enjoyed the depiction of overpopulated cities and lots of neon signs. I absolutely loved the stunning prostitute models. Their face and body proportions were so perfect. It made sense they may be andromidical in nature. This is what Mass Effect Andromeda should've been. This is a classic SCI-FI film without any SJW/Progressive garbage. It's just a talented cast of actors with a thought provoking script with stimulating visuals that make me want to watch the movie again & again. I want more and more movies like this, but humanity is too stupid and have not caught on to this level of sci-fi mastery. I love this movie so much. I'm in love with it. 10/10
Realive (2016)
Flashbacks are boring & annoying, everything else is interesting & worth watching.
The ideas in the movie are thought provoking, intriguing and interesting. They ask a lot of good questions and the movie makes you think. I ended up disliking the main character towards the end, but I was surprised and satisfied right at the end of the movie for a reason I won't mention to avoid spoilers.
The flashbacks are boring and annoying. I skipped all the back story and still enjoyed the logical & mind stirring sci-fi aspects. If you find the flashbacks and back story boring, just skip ahead, you won't miss anything important.
Bright (2017)
Do you like Of Orcs and Men and Skyrim?
The mixed reception for this movie is a testament to how new and fresh the idea was. I enjoyed the execution. There was one scene that blew my mind with the visuals and completely captured my imagination. I adored this movie and would like to see more films like this. I find movies set in a modern way of life as we know it to be extremely boring, but mixing in the fantasy element the way Bright did ensured I did not get bored. Magical, sword & sorcery elements are always refreshing and unpredictable. There are many different takes on Orcs and this kind of reminded me of two RPG's: Of Orcs and Men and of course Skyrim. This movie is much more suited to fans of RPG's and people heavy into fantastical settings. I would say half of mainstream will not like this movie because they're trapped in a normie mindset.
The Strain (2014)
Look up the definition of plot hole and you'll see the Strain
I can forgive plot holes most of the time, but I've never seen a show have so many before. It's constant plot holes. I'm trying to ignore them and turn my brain off, but the plot holes are so obvious. I'm not looking for plot holes, but they're literally all up in my face constantly. It's kind of funny actually. There is nothing epic here, it's just mediocre vampire killing fun. Yes, I used the word fun. It's entertaining, but my god, I've never seen this type of plot hole action before.

Wonder Woman (2017)
HBO should've made it, not Hollywood.
The four supporting male characters were complete garbage. They shouldn't have been part of the movie. Gal Gadot should've been pushed harder. She needed to be more dirty & bloody. The movie lacked blood and violence. This movie had the potential to be epic, but Hollywood was obviously more concerned with politics, money & censorship than content. They've forgotten how to be edgy & take risks.
I'm a Trump supporter and I say this...... She was great and could've been fantastic. The four male characters following her around were completely stupid, token & idiotic. She didn't need them following her around. Only a stupid SJW would add those four idiotic male characters following her around.
The director should've pushed Gal Gadot the same way Kubrick pushed Shelley Duvall and we would've had a a great movie. The villain is a great actor, but not good enough to play evil.
I give the movie a low score because I wanted greatness, not mediocrity. Wonder Woman deserved better.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
Annoyingly emotional with lots of annoying music.
They went overboard with the music and made the movie too annoyingly emotional. It's a good movie to watch with a girl friend since it's all about emotions and feelings. The CGI is great, but they went overboard with the music. I didn't like it. By the end of the movie I wanted to vomit.
Arrival (2016)
If you like traditional sci-fi this movie is NOT for you.
Do you like Stargate SG1, Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5 or Battlestar Galactica? If you said yes to any of these, then you will hate this movie. This movie is not actual sci-fi. I'm not sure what the hell I just watched, but it was bad and extremely boring.
Let me ask you this, if you were to communicate with aliens how would you do it? Would you write the word human on a clipboard and show it to the aliens? No, of course not, you're not an idiot, but that's what the lead actress did in this movie. That's how bad it is.
FFS. I've never had to write a review before and I'm worried about the state of sci-fi in Hollywood movies. I'm convinced that sci-fi writing has now officially regressed because of this film.
