Shania Up! Live in Chicago (2003)
awesome concert!
Shania Twain does a wonderful performance- she is such a crowd pleaser! Her voice never fails, and her band is just as great as she is. Her choice of songs also work well- she has slow songs, but not so many that it becomes boring....just enough for her and the audience to catch their breath. Also, she plays the guitar in a few songs, which is nice. She really puts everything she has into her songs...all her energy, emotion, and passion. She allows several people on the stage, and she is so friendly with all of them. Even 3 little girls...she allows the to sing "I'm Gonna Getcha Good," with her. Shania is a very sweet person and it shows through in her performances.
The Shining (1980)
Good Movie
I watched the Shining for the first time just the other day. I was not scared at all, however, this was a VERY good movie. Well thought out, clever, and tense. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole movie, with a tense ending of Jack being locked in a pantry, etc. Although there were no after-effects for me after watching this movie, I was quite nervous while watching. The only thing I must say is that the little girls could have, and should have, been featured more. I don't remember seeing them more than 3 times. Also, they could have been more specific as to which ghost possessed Danny. Although all of the people were extremely good actors/actresses. I recommend this movie to anyone...even if you scare easy.
Magical Mystery Tour (1967)
i love this movie!
If you are easily amused, then this is the movie for you! My friends and I got the biggest kick out of this. We danced, sang, and my friend fell flat on her face at the end during the last part of "Hello Goodbye" while trying to do a dance. Ringo is so funny when he gets mad at his Aunt Jessie. Anyway, if you are not easily amused (or uptight) this movie would become a waste of time.
The Beatles have an incredible ability to make movies and sing...while maintaining the classic "Beatle" style. The best song in my opinion is "I am The Walrus" because of the odd costumes and the feeling of worrylessness (is that a word?). It just makes all of your other fears and worries go away. Anyway, this is a great movie...one of my favorites.
