Muzzle (2023)
unnecessary swearing
Unnecessary swearing throughout the film put me off watching it so turned it off after 25 mins. I was drawn to the film as I enjoy watching films about working dogs so I just felt really disappointed to be honest. I do not understand why writers feel the need to add swearing in the scripts as it just doesn't add anything to the film but makes me feel that it is poorly written as they are constantly filling up space with swear words instead of meaningful dialogue that helps the audience feel connected to the characters within the story. It shows a great skill set to be able to portray a character without having the swearing every 2 minuets.
The Chosen (2017)
The best movie/TV representation yet
This is such a great series of Jesus Christ, I like the fact that they show Jesus's human side and not just the divinity of Him. Jesus is funny in this show and that is why I really enjoy it because God is funny; it is from Him that we all get our sense of humour so it makes wisdom Jesus would of been funny during His time on the earth.
I would also say they stay pretty close to scripture, I do not agree with everything but most of it is pretty bang on.
The Historical representation they give throughout this series is amazing even down to the beautiful costumes. I love the fact that the actors who are playing the Hebrews chacters have even gone the extra mile to put on a hebrew accent. It would of been good if the actors playing the Roman army would of put on an Italian accent for those from Rome and those from different countries also having an accent from those countries.
Of Kings and Prophets (2016)
Fantastic
This is a fantastic series, I have no idea how it ended up with such a bad rating when the story is a true and incredibly performed by all the actors, the costumes are brilliant, camera work is excellent.
They should make a second season without abc it seems that these TV stations like to pull alot of fantastic christian dramas like A.D kingdom and empire for example.
Dumbo (2019)
Fantastic, beautiful and full of love.
I think this is the best remake Disney has made.
I love the new twist to the story.
The Lion King (2019)
Disappointed
I didn't like the new songs added and felt they could of made the Kings death sader.
Visually amazing all actors where great but Beyonce irratated me through out, I thought she was a very strange choice for Nala.
Original is epic beyond words and music amazing. As they say don't fix what is not broken.
New songs by Beyonce were her usual style over sung, no soul.
Script felt shortened and didn't have the impact that the original had. Especially on some very poignant scenes with Mufasa and scar.
The begining was great and some very good scenes added. Over all a ok film.
A.D. The Bible Continues: The Visit (2015)
Amazing
This is a phenomenal series I loved every moment, I was 100% invested in all the characters. The actors were fantastic and so was the script, directing, camera work as well as costumes. It is fair to say this series blow me out of the water and it was not too adult so I could watch it with the hole family.
I was so heart broken when I found out that only one series was made. 😭
Please please bring out the second series.
My Pet Dinosaur (2017)
Great story but poor acting all round
Story is great really enjoyed it but the acting was really poor. Needed more character back ground for all main characters so the audience feels emotional involved. Characters that I believe need the back ground depth are the friendship group and the bond/relationship between the main character and the dinosaur.
This film has so much potential it is a shame it wasn't executed well. Poor edit, band actors and no character depth.
Mowgli (2018)
Breathtaking film with great moral
I loved this film, it was hard hitting, dark, clever, unexpected pot twists, shocking, beautiful, emotional and inspirational.
There was a lot a shocking scenes in the film but there was one particular section in the film that I found extremely distressing, heartbreaking and hard to shake off. It was a completely unexpected scene but it was necessary to the plot.
I would recommend this film a watch but with a box of tissues to your side.
Robin Hood (2018)
Great film
Great acting, great plot, fantastic action. Loved it.
Would recommend to watch
Rogue One (2016)
Disappointed and confused.
I have just finished watching Rogue One, I came out feeling disappointed and very confused. I found the plot very confusing and unneeded to the star wars saga. There was no relationship built up between the characters and the audience so if anything happened to any of the characters the audience had no emotion towards them. I felt that there was no connection to the recent Star wars film made 'The Force Awakens' with the film Rogue One at all. On a plus side there was great acting, great graphics, lots of action and it stuffed with loads of famous actors/actresses. But in all honesty I thought this film was pointless and a waste of time to the Star Wars saga.
