Die Aufklärungsrolle - Als die Liebe laufen lernte (1988)
Die Auflärungsrolle - travel back to the 1970's
I still remember the 1970's and the so called "sexual revolution". Sex was taken a bit easier as it was taken in the 1950's & 60's and so lots of films appeared in German cinemas, which have been announced to be scientific films. But they had been soft core-porn at all - films like "Schulmädchenreport", "Hausfrauenreport", "Der Mann, das unbekannte Wesen" and other films mainly taken by Oswald Kolle. But all those films have been very funny and sometimes a little bit erotic. At the end of this "sex-wave", "Die Aufklärungsrolle" had been done: they took the best scenes from all the films mentioned above and put them together. The result: a fabulous film about films and about how crazy the people had been if there would have been sex in a movie.
Enjoy this film, it is grant!
Die Abfahrer (1978)
How to escape from depressions?
Dortmund in the 1970s: the last mining companies are going to be shut and more and more young people get unemployed. The same with Atze and his 3 Friends: they are unemployed, they are sitting around the whole day, playing with cubes or drinking, building their own car. But than one day, they took a parked truck and start their "tour" through the Ruhr-region in Germany ...
This film is brilliant, Adolf Winkelmann draws a real picture of those days in Dortmund and about the problems of the younger generation. in this movie, Winkelmann only used 3 or 4 professional actors/actresses like Tana Schanzara, the rest had been amateurs!
Excuse Me... 1 (1992)
Very interesting porn-format!
Horny Harry, the guy who "interviews" the young girls, was the first one who did a format like that in porn business. However, he managed to show young girls nude, masturbating and sometimes even "harder".
The girls he used to film have been amateurs, in the first 5 films he really asked them on the street to follow him to his room or to go to a hotel with him, offering money and showing themselves nude.
In later movies, the girls have been in porn for a longer time and the stories have been played by the girls.
All in all the films are very erotic and sometimes very funny, too. The absolute best girl he showed in this series was Wally Richter, who started as a porn-actress afterwards very successful.
Just enjoy the movies, they are big fun!
Der Seewolf (1971)
The best Version!
This adaption of Jack Londons "Seewolf" is the best ever shown. The characters have been chosen very wise and Raimund Harmstorf played the role of his live.
The story depends not only on the novel "Der Seeworlf", Ulbrich, the director of the four part movie, included several other novels and short stories from Jack London (all the "historic" scenes do not take place in the original novel, they have been taken from "Joe and the pirates").
Harmstorf himself did a good job as Wolf Larson, the captain of the "Ghost" and he was identified by this role since his early suicide. He took place in other great roles such as "Der Kurier des Zaren" (Michael Strogof).
All in all, if you will ever have a look on a Seewolf-movie, try this one!
Jack Arnold erzählt (1983)
Amazing Documentation!
I liked it! In the 1980s in German TV, each summer there had been a "Jack Arnold" series in the so called "3rd programs" The most interesting thing was after the movie itself, "Jack Arnold erzählt". So Arnold talks about 5 or 6 minutes about the shown film.
It was very funny, when he was talking about his "little Ctreature" and all fun they have had while taking the Creature-films. All the goofs in the movies and some of the scenes they did not have deleted at all.
The most funny was, and it is still in the first Creature-film, when the arm of the Creature appears on screen (coming out of the Amazonas), the costume opens and you can see the Rolex watch on the arm of the actor (by the way: it 10:42 am).
Der Drücker (1986)
Depressing movie ...
Depressing movie of a depressing reality: Tommy is unemployed and he needs money. He is still living at home and has still conflicts with his father. He sells his motorcycle and looks out to find a new job and private liberty. One day there has been an advertisement in the local paper. "Young? Flexible? Need Money? Join us!" Tommy takes contact to the given address and joins a so called "Drücker Kolonne", a group of young people who are forced to sell as much newspapers and magazines as they can. But this is only the beginning of hard live.
This film is very authentic: within the 1970s and the 1980s, this groups traveled from town to town in Germany, telling the people lies about the magazines and papers they are selling. The more new customers one get, the better he was for one day. But they got no chance to leave the group without violence. In the film, there had been only 4 professional actors, the rest had been amateurs, and they played as if they have known everything about the problems of those youngsters.
Rappelkiste (1973)
Anarchy and anti-authorized Education!
I loved this program when I was a child. The "Rappelkiste" was produced by a so called "Post 68" generation and it was the direct opposite to "Sesamestreet" from the USA. In "Rappelkiste" there had been themes that have never been show in any other children's program: they talked about poor people, how to get the next meal, they figured out how different German and foreigner are in their way of live but how they can fit together. Question about sexuality has been discussed even like political question concerning children. The two main Characters "Ratz" and "Rübe" has been the highlight of each transmission. Both have been very anarchistic and shows the children how to live their lives with and without the education of their parents. Unfortunately the show stops in the 1980s and the following shows like "Neues aus Uhlenbusch" or "Nirgendwo" returned to the scheme "Cute children, listen to your parents"!
