Deposit for the Courier (2014)
impressive but
How to start of this review? Hmmm. How about "Everything Was Awesome!" I know, pretty overused at this point Visually it was extremely impressive like video game.
It's also a good story in general and includes some really good twists.
Admittedly the final reveal and ending can seem a bit bizarre, but I could stomach it without any major problems .
Cinematography: 8/10. it is actually well shot and the action that is there is greatly shot with some wide angles here and there.
Dialogue: 6/10. I think they just went for it and came out with this.
Lots of stuff gets blown up and it all takes place in exotic sci fi locations If the movie had started out in the real world before going into the main story, it would've made a little more sense. She executes her kicks, punches, and immaculate precision. Yes, this has the spectacle of an Olympic event— apparently timing is everything
How good could it honestly be? But, to my surprise, this movie made me remember just how much fun I used to have with construction toys . Part 2 of this film would have to be a real game changer story.
Conclusion: the movie has its bad points as well as good points.nothing wrong in watching once and may be twice if an animated action is the generation of your favorite movie lists.
Big Hero 6 (2014)
"Bravo!"
Are we soon coming to a time when the truly life-like actions and representations of objects by animated films are taken for granted? I hope not.
"Big Hero 6" tells the story of a young boy and his robot, amazing "cinematic effects" created via animation. These animators repeatedly fool the eye into thinking the images are created through the lens of a camera. To further this illusion, the point of view is what one might see through a camera. It is almost tempting to compliment the camera's movement, until you realize there is no camera. In the same vein, I love the "shots" through translucent (but not clear) glass, the slow-motion, and the depth of field created by "unfocused" objects in the background.
The overall style of the film is reminiscent of anime and classic sci-fi. And it starts with a mystery that our hero (Hiro) cleverly--with the aid of a clue that is genius in its simplicity and design--sets out to solve.
Time and again, the characters look and behave in very human ways. And since I am not yet ready to just accept such technical artistry as de rigeur, I say "Bravo!" If you liked "The Incredibles" or "Wreck-it-Ralph", you will probably like "Big Hero 6".
Minuscule: La vallée des fourmis perdues (2013)
just perfect
This film is simply wonderful! I loved it, and I'm certain you will too...
The animation is done via a technique I haven't seen before, whereby animation is used over real backdrops and though it is done simply, it looks fantastic, absolutely gorgeous.
There is no dialogue at all, only sounds and music. But how cute these characters are and how smart this movie is. It really has everything from heartfelt, sad moments and dreams, to very funny laugh out loud moments. I actually smiled and laughed my way through this movie form the very beginning. I actually can't remember the last time I saw a movie which made my smile so much.
The story is very simple and as mentioned, there is no dialogue, but the film is so captivating and fast moving and full to the brim with so many beautiful and funny scenes.. and the greatest thing about it all is any age group will love it. You could watch this with everyone in your family, regardless of age. They will all love it.
Overall Opinion: An absolute joy to watch! Faultless. You need to get on it asap!
