The X-Files: Fight Club (2000)
Season 7, Episode 20
By far the worst episode
2 November 2022
Just pointless in every way. It's like the Xfiles was mocking itself which was strange. Even the music was horrific. Kathy Griffin's performance was not magical and could have been done by any actress. It's like the writer wanted us to lose respect for mulder and scully and their work. The plot ultimately made no sense and there was no explanation for the what we just wasted an hour of our lives watching. There's a saying in writing to prevent laziness that is: "Show don't tell" and all the sudden Scully got some pieces to the puzzle from a supposed internet search we didn't even witness. Very weak sauce and not funny at all...

Unwatchable
26 October 2022
Completely unwatchable. Stopped watching after episode 4. It's like it was written by dumb high school kids who thought they were making a good drama. They used every stupid plot device in a stupid way that you can think of, including a very corny relationship between Bernthal and a dog. The acting was horrible. Even Bernthal's performance was super disappointing and odd. Worse than that, the series is clearly pushing the hollywood agenda of sex between adults and the underaged acting like it's every housewive's secret fantasy to hook up with a teenager. Rosy Odonnells performance was wooden and her character stereotyped.

Bad Boys (1983)
Has stood the test of time and then some
30 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I grew up in the 80s and sometimes when I rewatch an 80s movie I wonder why I liked it so much. But then other times I rewatch one and the movie is even better for standing the test of time in an age when every thing in the cinema is a rehash. Or it's so sanitized from reality that it feels like watching a cartoon instead of a movie. It's probably why comic books are so popular to make as films. And I don't mean sanitized from violence and murder and gore, I mean sanitized from what really makes reality reality which is massive complexity and grittiness. You definitely get that with this movie.

The Witcher (2019– )
Needlessly overly-complex with poor character development
1 March 2022
I loved season 1 but around episode five of season 2 the main theme was incredibly redundant centering around everyone being after the same person because that person is so special but we never quite understood why and the implications. Meanwhile there was too much going on with the surrounding players that was impossible to keep track of. The main love story is hard to buy into because while Henry Cavill is gorgeous and a good actor he lacks chemistry with leading ladies. The producers relied too much on special effects and not well developed plot lines in season 2. You know the saying for writers don't tell me, show me but there is too much of the backstory being relayed in conversation.

Not bad!
22 November 2021
The producers are allowing the girls to have real bonding moments where they hear and connect with each other. I know this is forbidden in the housewives franchise but for some reason they allow it here. I don't see why that's so horrible. Viewers enjoy watching women connect and relate versus treating each other in toxic ways. There are moments of weird and selfish behavior from kenya and ramona but it's almost like a blip on the screen versus nonstop drama.

I'm a fan of other housewives shows but this one is horrible
12 September 2021
What Bravo doesn't seem to understand is their viewers like when the housewives have admirable qualities and decent moments. You can't have too much over the top vapid fakeness or the audience loses interest i.e. Real housewives of Miami. One of the reasons real housewives of new york is the best one is because of the real friendships the women seem to have underneath all the glitz and pettiness. The reason rhobh is starting to do better is because now they have Kathy Hilton and you can see the real connection between her and Kyle. Rh of atlanta has a lot of fights and friction but underneath it you see they have a lot of fun together and have known each other for years. This show has none of the good and all of the bad. They are just trying way too hard.

Propaganda movie
7 October 2020
This movie's goal is to make the dinosaur puppets of the ruling class look legit. Glorification of reduction of nuclear arms by only 30 percent wedded to the commentary that the main rulers of today are bad because they aren't as pure as Reagan and Gorby. Gee who could they be talking about? Hmmm

It's like they were trying to make it bad on purpose
19 May 2020
It reminds of bad late night tv from the 80s. The characters were very poorly cast and the filming and directing looked 2nd rate.

The Gift (2019–2021)
Seriously stupid and dumb
17 May 2020
I don't know what's worse, the acting or writing. It's a miracle I made it through to the end.

Not great, but an important message
1 March 2020
This felt more like an after school special in some ways than a movie. The acting was horrible or maybe it was the dialogue or maybe it was both. It does treat the topic in a way that I haven't seen in other movies.

Honest review from a Tseries fan
27 January 2020
My favorites were Terminator one and two and actually I loved the TV series. The rest of the Terminators were completely forgettable and so is this one. It's not a problem with the women being cast. It's that the actresses sucked. Especially Grace. No charisma or passion or intensity at all. Horrible. The tv series had 3 amazing female actresses: Lena Headey, Summer Glau, and Shirley Manson. So too big of a deal is made out of gender when we have seen females carry the story in the past. It's that the actresses in this movie were terrible on top of a terrible actor as the terminator. He's very forgettable and unimpressive unlike Arnold or Robert Patrick.

Also the plotline was a joke. Just completely lacking in detail or scandal or anything that would make it interesting. The pacing was also off, it was like non-stop pursuit without time to get to know the characters unlike Terminator one with Kyle and Sarah's relationship. Thank god I didn't waste my time with this in the theater or pay money for it. It's just a shame that couldn't do much with this even with all the big names and budget.

Seriously the most slow and boring documentary I have ever seen
10 November 2019
My god this thing drags on. I couldn't watch anymore after 3 episodes which were three episodes too many. There is nothing I love more than a good documentary but this was just horribly pointless. I mean slow just for the sake of being slow. How could something named murder mountain be so boring and hard to connect to? Over-rated probably by stoners how have some connection to the locale.

The Imposter (2012)
Documentary making at it's worst
4 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This documentary is pretty devoid of civilized humanity. It's like it was made by a sociopath about a sociopath. It's a mockery of people who are driven to make bad choices because of trauma and the worst pain imaginable. Totally exploitative in nature and not even that well-made at all.

spoilers ahead:

The end scene showing them digging up the yard of the family's old house was completely unnecessary. They found nothing yet tried to imprint as hard as they could that the family had this huge shadow of doubt over them. This movie was taking the word of literally the biggest liar in the world. The imposter imbecile probably holds a world record in lying.

The only person more stupid than the filmakers, and the imposter, is the FBI agent who swallowed every one of his words without even questioning the likelihood or the global scandal that would be involved making worldwide headlines of american boys being kidnapped by people in the military for sex slavery with technology to change their eye color in the 90s. I mean just effing insane for her not even to question the facts. Then she doubled down on her idiocy by believing the imposter that the family murdered the missing child when there was zero, I mean literally zero evidence except her making the woman take the lie detector test over and over until she got the result she wanted from the grieving mother.

The imposter himself is the grossest, ugliest excuse for a human being I have ever seen. He literally is trying to get compassion from people with his dumb, "my grandfather was racist against my father" b.s. I'm sorry millions have suffered the same and didn't go on to exploit the good intentions of every person he encountered and the literal tragedy and pain of the family of the missing kid. He's a thief in every aspect of the word. He's ugly and insane and his voice is the most annoying thing you'll ever hear.

Don't waste your time on this, there is nothing to be gotten out of it. Nothing edifying or redeeming. Just low moments by humans exploited for money.

Orange Is the New Black (2013–2019)
Insufferable propaganda
1 August 2019
I'm not an extremely political person but this show is an abortion of warped liberal talking points. The Socratic Method is about seeking the truth through argument as your opponent helps you to eliminate what isn't true via detection of contradiction. This show's whole focus is how screwed up our society is and we dump people in prison and have the deck stacked against them, ok fine. But then in then in the last season they show ridiculous ice raids that are based on fantasy versus facts and act like we need to take every single person who walks up to the border. How will that change the prison system?

Especially when all the low wage jobs these illegals are looking for are gone thanks to automation? How will that help crime and the prison system? Why take another country's best resource, their people, so big corporations can use and abuse low wage labor while draining social programs of which we endlessly pay taxes into and of which the average taxpayer gets nothing out of? You like working to give your money away to people who don't even observe the first laws they encounter of your country? We encourage people to come here with lies and the consequences are felt in blue cities like LA and San Fran and Baltimore that end up like third world countries when the little enticements and free stuff wrecks what makes a thriving community. This show is contradictory at it's best and outright full of divisive lies and distorted narrative at its worst.

Not perfect but super interesting
2 July 2019
The story itself is fascinating, utterly fascinating and probably one of the most insightful looks into "civilized" human nature I have ever seen captured on film. The documentary is confusing though. The story is about three groups on Floreana but the film introduces all these other families, and it's impossible to keep track of the connections to each other. I couldn't figure out if they lived on Florena or another island. I still don't know. They were introduced as if they are a part of the story when they weren't. They were just offering opinions. Anyways it's an imperfect documentary that actually leaves out some interesting details I went on to read on my own after the doc but my rating is in terms of entertainment value overall.

Russian Doll (2019–2022)
Honest Review
29 June 2019
I have enjoyed some, not all, but some seasons of Orange is the New Black. I think Natasha Lyyonne did a good job on there. I saw the high rating for this show and decided to give it a try. Holee mackerel what a mess! I mean this thing was horrendous. It's so trite and poorly executed with very drab performances and it ultimately resolves itself in a way that did not make the show worth it. I feel Lyonne only had true chemistry with the older therapist lady but everyone else was very poorly cast as her supporting actors.

I had decided to stop watching this series halfway through the 8th episode, it was that bad but I then found out it was the last episode in the series and could barely stick to the last 15 minutes. Just so tedious and uninspiring. Obviously the ratings are contrived. This is far from an 8.

Unreal that people think this is great
5 May 2019
Picture every melodramatic possibility for television viewing rammed into scene after scene with no character development or development of any kind whatsoever. Use some special effects, maudlin songs for a cheesy music video effect, good looking Korean actors against a backdrop of mysticism and call it a day. Total garbage. Must be teenagers writing these rave reviews.

Holy Moly this was bad
15 April 2019
I think this could have been an interesting story had it been made in 2015 or earlier. Joan Jett is an interesting person but her story was more or less rushed through. I didn't know much about her or her bands and I was confused about who was in the bands and how they formed because the pace was so fast.. I guess it was rushed through so you can get to the last third of the documentary containing the highly unoriginal one sided social justice messages that are being rammed down our throats by the left that feel very tacked on and over-emphasized. It almost felt like it was part of a checklist. As if the extreme left are the only ones who care or have perspective, insight or ideas around the world's problems. Bad Reputation is just all around not that inspiring and feels very mainstream and icky. The reviews on imdb like the reviews on amazon have been co-opted into giving unnecessesarily high ratings to things that don't deserve them. This is one of them.

Crashing (2017–2019)
A few funny momments but very lame
2 January 2019
This show is very mediocre comedy but probably is considered hilarious by young people who think politically correct comedy is the best thing in the world even though it's the same stupid jokes based on identity politics. The actor is too old to play the part and is like a male Lena Dunham although her body is probably more attractive than this guy's. For some reason they like to show very unhealthy prediabetic people on HBO who are mildly funny and hate their whiteness.

Alias J.J. (2017– )
Ridiculously good
8 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Foreign shows are so much different than american shows. They allow for so much complexity in character development and human expression. This show is like game of thrones in the sense you never know who is going to stick around. But it's also an up and down roller coaster around the central character. You sometimes root for JJ and sometimes hate him. The characters are so well developed and this show is so freaking good. The actors are amazing!! Great job Colombia!! Keep up the good productions.

Money Heist (2017–2021)
Hatewatched this
9 January 2018
I don't know if these positive reviews were paid for but I wouldn't be surprised. This is one of the stupidest shows I have ever seen in my entire life. I know there has to be an element of suspension of disbelief but his show requires you to but your brain in the trash bin while you watch this. Plan not using it all. The characters are so stupid and pathetic and one dimensional. It's sad to see Spain so influenced by the worst of american culture and movie making. El Tiempo Entre Costuras is a great show, much better than this crap if you want to see a good spanish series. I don't want to include spoilers because I truly want to warn as many people as possible from this horror show of stupidity. HUGE waste of time. The only thing that got me through it was knowing I was going to negatively review. The worst part about it is the ridiculous show doesn't wrap up at the end of the season. They are trying to stretch another season out of this pure garbage.

Second season is beyond awful
14 November 2017
I loved the first season of this show. It was so different, dialogue was fantastic, interesting plot, etc. The second season is formulaic, just really horrible. The actors' performances are also bad. Dirk seems more like a gay character from 80s sitcom, just too over the top and a caricature. The actress who plays Farrah is the worst actress I have ever seen. There is just nothing connecting these people in an interesting way. They are relying on music and costume and special effects and identity politics and it's just not entertaining. I had this ranked as a ten before. Now I changed it to a six.

Written by drug users or a teenage writing class
9 May 2017
This is so bad that it's literally laugh out loud funny. The dialogue of the Ballet director queen is predictably ridiculous and unreal. Every aspect of this show is predictable because all you have to do is just picture the dumbest direction the scene could possibly take and there it goes.

The OA (2016–2019)
Incredibly bad
21 February 2017
The first episode held so much promise but it just got worse and worse and worse hitting you over the head with new age garbage. Why are we as humans trying to be something other than human? I would rather be human than good, or spiritual... because those are just inventions of the human mind based on time and space morals and values. I hate shows like this, that pick up where obsolete religion left off, the new moralism about virtue signaling and repression and flowery language around spirituality. Humans will never ever perfectly accept each other's differences, and we can't get there through brain washing and suppression either.

Horrible show, just horrible. I have barely written any reviews in 11 years but this was horrendous.

Siberia (2013)
Nothing like Lost and one of the worst shows ever.
18 April 2016
The people who gave this a good review are either a. in elementary school and don't know any better 2. paid by the producers to promote the show 3. People who don't have cable and don't realize the quality of truly good shows such as Game of Thrones or The Americans.

I don't even know where to start. It's like the writer either hates reality TV show contestants and wants you to know how moronic he thinks they are or he himself is a moronic person and couldn't write a realistic television character if his life depended on it.

This show sucks so bad. There are so many inconsistencies, such bad acting, such bad writing and worse than all that... there is ZERO resolution for any of the mysteries. Please turn back now and don't waste your time on this. It doesn't get any better from the first episode as some claim that it does. It's consistently and horrifically bad the whole way through. I mean painfully bad.
