Lara Croft is Amazing
11 March 2018
Finally we got one good motion picture which is well adapted from a game. Alicia Vikander is awesome as Lara Croft. Yes, we tend to compare it with Angelina Jolie's version but this movie turns out much better. I truly enjoyed Angelina Jolie's 1st Lara Croft which was over-the-top but enjoyable but this one is more grounded and real. It has few cliche moments but amazing action sequences, great VFX, wonderful story-line makes up well for everything. I am so happy that finally we got a motion picture well adapted from a game. This movie is largely based on 2013 Tomb Raider game and some action sequences reminds me of Uncharted series... Watch this one for sure \m/

Kaabil (2017)

Kaabil is Na-Kaabil
29 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Rakesh Roshan and Sanjay Gupta's joined hands to make a movie called "Kaabil" with our favourite superhero "Hrithik Roshan". Well to start off with 1st half of movie was really nice as i was hooked on to understand how bad the scenario went for blind couple (Hrithik & Yami gautam) and how the law is not supporting them or even considering their case as local corporator "Ronit Roy & Rohit Roy" are running the game.

But 2nd half of movie becomes too artificial to even follow. When the revenge drama starts and the way Rohit (Hrithik) takes revenge from the Roy brothers.... man they missed out big time on that. There are some huge disconnction of characters. As one particular scene shows after Supriya (Yami) gets raped and both Rohit and Supriya are thrashed by this incident a day later Rohit goes to work as he is an dubbing artist. I was so surprised so see that scene how in the world can anyone do that..... And when Rohit goes for work Supriya gets raped again.... I was like this is so freaking bizarre man.

Also one particular scene shows after the 1st rape incident Rohit and Supriya are kept captive in a safe house for 24hours out of city... but during the climax Rohit tells Madhavrao Shellar (Ronit Roy) to meet him at safe house ... How the hell does a blind person can know about that place...

Overall its okay-ish movie but kinda depression one. Watch at your own risk.

Raees (2017)

Raees ban gaya !!!
25 January 2017
RAEES is a great movie. Though it's not the best movie among rest of the gangster's movies made in bollywood. But certainly a good commercial movie in last few years. Raees has its +ve and -ve points yet it makes a great wholesome entertainer. SRK is great as Alam Raees and this act will certainly give him a good credibility for next few years even he makes bad movies like Dilwale again... Nawazzuddin Siddique is like a best card saved to win the game, awesome as always. Mahirah Khan is decent and very little to deliver. Atul Kulkarni, Zeeshan, and rest of supporting cast delivers well.

Rahul Dholakia's direction has loopholes but effective with his strength. Set pieces are amazing, as the set looks really like 80's - 90's. Background score by Ram sampath delivers full marks. Songs are decent but "Laila" creates rage in theatre. Thank you team Raees for amazing time at cinema.

Fan (I) (2016)
10/10
Fan: "Fan"tastic!!!
17 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
What's Good: Srk is mind blowing. What's Not: Occasionally over-dramatized in second half.

Who is a Fan? One who admires his/her idol. Wants to live a life like his/her idol or one who wants them at all cost. Srk has been criticized for his bad choice of movies during past few years. As a trend set by other contemporaries of making money by gravity defying movies or "Masala" movies it was a shift to Srk to be more of businessman than actor. Srk's non-admirer were hool-a-hop on his choice of bad movies even his beloved fans were in search of a movie where they can loud-out his name. Well now we got a movie worth mentioning as Srk's best role since "My Name is Khan".

Fan starts off with introduction of Aryan Khanna(Srk) a superstar whose life is pretty similar to SRK's real life. Now with introduction of superstar comes his biggest fan Gaurav Chanana (Srk) who sees nothing out of his superstar. Gaurav's only dream is to meet his superstar once in his life.As he believes he is meant to meet his superstar so he follows the same struggle which his idol went through before becoming a superstar. By a crooked way he gets an opportunity to meet his star but it turns out to be a sour taste for Gaurav. Unable to handle rejection from his star he wants to get back to his star and make him realize he is nothing without his FAN. Whether Gaurav get backs his vengeance or whether the star was right at his stance is the rest of plot.

Srk as Gaurav & Aryan Khanna is mind-blowing. He is perfect to the core in every frame. To be true for a minute i didn't feel like Gaurav was played by Srk himself as his both character's are made opposite poles. Though everyone achieve great success in life and people might love you for that but playing a admirer who loves you is so insane and playing a character who is almost half of your age with that same energy, lingo, attitude, childishness, madness, etc is equally insane. Well hats- off to SRK as this role will surely be remembered for years. Shriya Pilgaonkar, Waluscha D Souza, Yogendra Tiku and others lends good support. Cinematography is top-notch and well shot. Background score is well suited to situation. Direction is fine but could have been neat. Script and plot fumbles few places in second half as it becomes over-dramatized but its fine as that can be given grace marks under "Cinematic liberty". Screenplay is great specially look out for scene where Aryan transforms into Gaurav in second half as its worth million of hooting and whistles.

Overall its not picture perfect but worth every penny smile emoticon smile emoticon
