Hijack (2023)
A Streched-Out Disappointment
As a fan of both movies and TV shows, I was excited to check out Hijack. However, I was left feeling underwhelmed by the overall execution of the show.
One of the main issues with this TV show was that it felt like it should have been a movie, rather than a TV show. The plot was stretched thin over multiple episodes, leading to a lack of pacing and development. It was evident that the story was being dragged out to fill a full season's worth of content, which ultimately detracted from the impact of the story.
The characters also left much to be desired. While some of the actors gave strong performances, the writing often fell short in conveying the emotional depth and nuance that would have made the characters truly memorable. Instead, the characters felt one-dimensional and underdeveloped, leaving little for me to connect with.
Overall, Hijack had the potential to be an engaging story, but the decision to stretch it out into a full TV show was a mistake. The pacing and character development suffered as a result, leaving me feeling disappointed by the end. I would recommend that those interested in this story seek out the movie adaptation instead, where the story can be told in a more concise and impactful manner.
Silo: Outside (2023)
Outside
The last episode of Silo was an incredible ride from start to finish. The tension and suspense built up throughout the season reached a stunning climax in the final episode, leaving me completely captivated. The final scene was particularly gripping, leaving me with so many questions and theories about what could happen next. The subtle hints and clues planted throughout the season finally came together to create a tantalizing mystery that I can't wait to see unfold in the next season. Overall, Silo season 1 was a beautiful ride, and the finale was the perfect way to end it. Can't wait for the next season.
Alhamour H.A. (2023)
Meh
The movie I saw recently was below average. It lacked originality and failed to capture my attention. The story felt flat and the characters were uninteresting. The cinematography and special effects were nothing memorable and the soundtrack added nothing to the overall experience. The pacing was off and the movie felt drawn-out and slow. The characters seemed one dimensional and lacked any real depth. However, while it may be entertaining in parts, there are far too many cliches and moments of convenient coincidences to make it worth watching. Overall, it was not a waste of time and i did actually enjoyed the movie. As a local from Jeddah, you can appreciate the efforts they did to take you back in the early 2000s.
