Sam Morril: Same Time Tomorrow (2022)
Too short, inconsistent volume, too much crowd interaction
There were more than a few times I had to rewind, more than once, and keep adjusting the volume just to hear what he's saying. It seemed like it was possibly pieced together from multiple shows with no post production to match the levels.
The jokes were great, though as a big fan I've heard some form of the material previously, probably from a podcast. The crowd interaction was something can be great if I'm at a comedy show, but can be annoying and just gets in the way on video. It had more of a large club vibe vs an actual theatre, which I wouldn't even notice without the crowd interaction. The entire show seemed unpolished, which as a fan who has seen Sam live, was underwhelming and I felt he deserved much better.
Sword of Trust (2019)
Sword of time wasting
A story that goes nowhere. Bad acting. I wished they all got murdered by the fake racist.
