I'm a mother and it's my worst nightmare the way the daughters feel about their mothers in this film. I only watched it, because of the 3 fabulous actress' who star in it. They really are great! The clothes are classic 80's and seeing James Spader was fun. Other than the wonderful actors and clothes it was quite depressing.

I was only interested in this movie, because of the three beautiful women who starred in it. It was fun seeing the classic 80's clothes. While the mother of Melissa Gilbert preaches about nutrition she is a smoker herself which seems a bit hypocritical.

I'm so grateful for this movie and for the sincerity of Abbey who came forward and was brave enough to walk away. The shame and pain that comes from having an abortion is something a woman has to live with the rest of her life. The babies who are murdered, are true and live children of God. Thank you for making this movie! I'm going to have all my kids watch it!!!

The book is so amazing as Wilson Rawls writes his magical story just as he did with Where the Red Fern Grows. The movie "Where the Red Fern Grows" does not disappoint and is 99% just like the book. Summer of the Monkeys was lazily done. They didn't follow the book and may as well not referred to The Wilson Rawls version. So disappointing I wouldn't let my children watch it , because the writings of Wilson Rawls should be respected as "Where the Red Fern Grows " director and producer respected his writing.

Thank you Amy! Great job being real, being you and relating to every woman on planet earth. This movie made me realize confidence makes a huge difference of how people perceive one another. Attitude trumps looks. I decided to see this movie because I was intrigued with Amy's confidence, although I am shocked they used a body double for some of the shots! Wink Wink
