No Sleep 'Til Christmas (2018)
There's no cheating in this movie
There's no cheating in this movie, nobody cheats on anybody, not even a kiss.
The people who commented that this movie encourages cheating I don't think they've seen the movie, I think they saw a youtube review (that's where I heard about the movie) where the youtuber says this movie its about cheating, there's no way so many people saw the movie and understood that this movie is about cheating.
I also believe the people who comment about the ending haven't seen a rom-com in their life, obviously the main characters are gonna have a happy ending, what did you expect.
I didn't know the actors were a couple in real life, but I don't see what the big deal is.
Fruits Basket (2019)
Kinda disappointed
Seems I'm in the minority here because I don't think this new version is better than the original and I don't believe this version is more true to the manga, i think people like this version more because the animation looks good and because it's longer (for me these are not good enough reasons).
The first thing i dislike in this new version is they sucked all the fun out of it, all the jokes, all the funny bits are excluded, i remember the original had really funny moments.
The second thing i dislike is that Yuki somehow for some unknown reason became the main character, i never cared for Yuki (the fake smile type of character i don't care about in general in manga/anime) it seems he's the main character, not Tohru, in both seasons, his characters has the most hyped back story, even though in the end his back story isn't that sad, yet it's dragged over 2 seasons. I thought they're gonna move on from Yuki in the second season, but no, he's still the main focus. From all 4 main characters i like Kyo, Tohru and Shigure, but i just can't care for Yuki, so for me is big minus that he has so much screen time (i don't hate Yuki, i just don't care about him, he's not interesting enough).
Third thing i dislike is that almost every character gets 2 episodes for their sob story, some of them definitely didn't need that much screen time for their backstory like: Arisa, Hana, Mokoto (Yuki's fangirl).
I'm also disappointed how they portrayed the romance between Tohru and Kyo, although i read the manga and i knew they end up together, in the anime it felt out of the blue and glossed over a bit too fast.
I have read the manga many times (i'm a fan of the manga) but this animated series is a bit too sappy and cringey for me, maybe because i don't have high tolerance against cringey stuff, also i don't watch animes in general (i always found them cringey, but when it has fun/funny moments makes me get over the cringe), I know the manga is sappy too but the anime takes it to another level.
I really don't know how many stars to give this anime because on the one hand nostalgia and good source material, but on the other hand I'm kinda disappointed, or maybe my expectations were too high.
We Have Always Lived in the Castle (2018)
Meaningless, Not interesting and Boring
I was expecting a twist but there isn't one. The fact that they reveal at the end of the movie that the little sister poisoned their family is supposed to be the twist?! That is easy to see from the start.
