The Patient: Pastitsio (2022)
Season 1, Episode 5
6/10
Becoming a bit repetitive
20 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
At this point, I feel like there needs to be something else added that isn't fast food product placement, peeing, or therapy sessions that go in circles. I get that the focus is between Sam and Alan, and their conversations can be interesting, but I wish they'd focus somewhat on the Strausses realizing their father is missing or even Elias' disappearance. Instead it's becoming the same formula every week, now with the added misfortune of Kenny Chesney being brought up every five minutes. It's becoming almost a drag to watch when it's unclear if the narrative is ever going to pick up. We are now halfway through the series and not much has changed for any of the characters.

Get rid of Owen
14 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously. I get that Rob Lowe was the initial drive for the show, but it's getting ridiculous. How does every characters episode become about Owen? We have an episode about Carlos solving a kidnapping and somehow it becomes about Owen saving the day YET AGAIN.

The reason people loved the original show is because it balanced the storyline of the individual characters. We got whole episodes about these individuals. I want to know way more about Grace and Matteo and Carlos and Marjan and TK and how they're developing. I'm sick of watching "The Owen Show."

Worth (2020)
9/10
A beautiful addition to 9/11 cinematography
18 September 2021
People who went into this movie expecting an intense, courtroom drama confound me. This movie had an amazing cast who understood the quiet dignity that this story needed. It perfectly balanced the rational and emotional needs of the post-9/11 families for closure and help. All this film asks is that you, too, pay attention and decide what a human life is really worth.

Michael Keeton gives a fantastically understated performance that shows both the triumphs of human nature and the darker desires of corporate America. Stanley Tucci's performance likewise gives a powerful yet soft portrait of the man not desperate for compensation, but for compassion.

That is the final message of "Worth." The days after 9/11 were filled with so much grief, yet also an abundance of empathy and compassion. And while some used this tragedy to gain more or used grief to overrun grieving families, there were also the "necessary evils" in men like Feinberg, who genuinely wanted to help, but didn't always get it right.

If it was men, it'd be creepy.
10 February 2019
If two men has played themselves at 13 and then made a show about puberty, masterbation, dating, etc. using real 13 year olds as supporting actors, this show would never get these types of ratings. Made me super uncomfortable.
