Borrasca (2020)
Needs to be a series!
This is so amazingly good! I've never heard a better podcast. I've binged it for a couple days now and I'm still not done. Can't stop. Actors are amazing and I can see it all even though it's just audio. Everyone needs to hear this!
It grips you from the start and tells such an intense and horrifying story. First you think it's some kind of myth or something but then it turns out reality is even scarier than a myth. The main characters are so good and so relatable. And so believable. I was hooked from the first episode and was never able to stop listening.
I hope a streaming service picks it up and makes a series!
Halo (2022)
Don't listen to cynical reviewers.
Don't listen to all the low star reviewers. They are expecting it to be the greatest thing that has ever happened to them in their life. I have been a Halo fan since the first game and I love the story in the lore. Anybody who thinks that it should follow the game scene for is an idiot and doesn't know how a good show should be made.
This show is fantastic. The detail and even the blood is amazing. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to take place before the first game even. And they did a great job introducing everybody. The Chiefs voice should be a little more gravelly but who cares.
It's just the first episode people. I don't know what you're expecting. The first episode of Breaking Bad wasn't very action packed either. The first episode of Game of Thrones was kind of boring.
So for people who haven't yet seen it, don't let yourself be jaded the rest of these reviewers. This show is really good. Don't go in hating it before you even watch it like them.
The Silence (2019)
It's not a ripoff!
The book was written before A Quiet Place. If anything, the other movie ripped off this story.
Overall not terrible. People need to stop going into movies expecting them to be the best thing they've ever seen.
Are You Afraid of the Dark? (2019)
The Easter eggs alone make it worth the watch
I love when a rebooted show or movie pays homage to the original. And this did just that. A few minutes into the second season (yes I watched the first one) and I counted at least 4 subtle references to the old show. True fans will see without having to Google. Lol.
It's a different show layout but it has a little of the feel of the original. Enough to keep me watching anyway.
I'm 32 years old and I feel like I'm thrown back to my kid years watching those episodes over and over again. My grandma recorded them for us. Made us super fans.
Give it an open minded, and open eyed, watch and you'll like it. Just don't go in expecting it to be exactly the same as the 90s. That would just be redundant anyway.
We Can Be Heroes (2020)
I would've liked it as a kid
Stop listening to bad reviews from people who seem to expect it to be on par with Avengers and MCU. It's a kids Disney movie. And it's supposed to be dorky and cheesy. Remember Spy Kids? Lol. Kids loved that and anyone over 12 didn't. So think about that before you give it a bad review.
Sick of cynical people who go into a movie and expect it to be a life changing masterpiece. It's just a movie. My kids enjoyed it and yours probably will too. Plus I liked seeing Pedro Pascal and Christian Slater
Truth or Consequences, N.M. (1997)
One of my favorites
This really is in my top 10 favorite movies. It is so underrated that it makes me mad lol. I honestly think this is Kiefer Sutherland's best movie aside from Lost Boys. He really steals the show in here. But all the actors are amazing in this. From the main roles to the minor ones. Truly a classic if you ask me.
