I Am Jonas (2018 TV Movie)

I really enjoyed watching it. Felix Maritaud is giving the performance of his life. The rest of the cast is also great. It's a chilling thriller, well made and executed.

It is easy to figure out why this movie is so bad. It is not about acting (which was surprisingly very good), nor is it about its intention to bring to the front some really important issues faced by the gay communities around the world. It is about the storyline or, better, the lack of it. There was nothing to keep you interested, there was no feeling, no mystery, no romance, nothing. Just plain boredom.

Deep and heartbreaking. I loved everything about this movie. The acting, the dialogs etc. Especially the fact that it was filmed in black and white, something that projects the overall feeling of the movie. I would totally recommend it.

I was bored, and this is what you feel while watching a movie with no end purpose. There are other films out there that say the same story better. This has nothing to add up.

This is a very nice movie, well-made, emotional, meaningful. It is one of those movies that stick to your mind and you keep thinking about it for a day or two . It is not the best I have ever watched, I would recommend Luz as a better alternative.

Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Pryce: the two pillars of cinematic art in the same movie. No words can describe the result. Acting, script, direction, production, all excellent.

Adu (2020)

Plot ruins everything

Acting and photography are really good. Plot ruins everything. There are three stories. The main story of young Adu and his hardships on his quest to reach Spain as an immigrant. The second one is wicker but relevant. It's the story of three officers who face a trail for killing an immigrant at the Spanish borders. The third one is totally irrelevant. This is about an estranged father and his daughter and their attempt to reconcile and healold wounds. The plot fails to explain the connection between these three stories. The ending will disappoint. Not because it isn't a happy one but because it lacks meaning. You just don't get it. Some parts may be disturbing. Be warned. I gave this one 7 stars for acting (Adam Nourou is excellent) and for picture/photography. Direction could have been better at times.

One of the best movies out there. It makes you laugh and think on the meaning of life. It is definitely a gay themed film, but it can reach any open minded person. It is basically a metaphor of sex life, a journey we all have taken or dream to take. A must watch
