Panchayat: Aukaat (2022)
This episode reminded me of my life
I work in an election office and our ERO madam treat us the same way as this MLA to Pradhan and team. Once she even called me Pagal admi. Once she threw a file at a UDC sir who is retiring next month. People in higher positions do not care about others' feelings or age. It is all about AUKAAD. I was laughing so much at this episode and felt bad for this desperate Pradhan but at the end, when that MLA scolded Jitu, it was so realistic, now I am sad.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
This put shame to Multiverse of Madness
Okay so Doctor Strange 2 was good but it's name was very misleading as they didn't even explore much about Multiverse. Coming to this movie, first of all, I found this movie very confusing and so I had to watch it's explanation later. One thing I had in my mind, why they chose Asian family? Could the same story be true about any other race? Later my friend told me it's because Asian parents they are very bad at showing their love to their childrens and the story centrally revolves around expression of love and choices.
Shingeki no Kyojin: From You, 2000 Years Ago (2022)
EPIC!!!
I wish I hadn't read the manga last year because I know how epic with would have been to see the story unravel. Also, I want to tell those who didn't read manga that Ymir was in love with the king despite of how cruel he was. Ymir never wanted to fight or slaughter people. She wasn't following his orders just because he is her husband or kind. She was secretly in love with him. And so she took the spear for him and died.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Best movie of 2021
I am very lazy to write but I have so many things to say about this movie that I better not say anything. Will conclude by saying this movie was worth the wait.
La casa de papel: Una tradición familiar (2021)
Great ending to the great show
The first 3 seasons made it very famous but I personally didn't like season 4 and part one of season 5. But the remaining five episodes of this series restored the faith in me. After failure of GOT, so far Breaking Bad, Dark and now Money Heist gave the perfect ending. Let's hope Stranger things will also give a great ending since it's only two seasons left now.
Antim: The Final Truth (2021)
Don't know why I am still giving these type of movies a benefit of doubt.
I went in theatre yesterday thinking it will be the best thing to relax myself and kind of a treat but this movie completely ruined my mood. Salman doesn't even know how to act anymore. I can't say more without giving any spoilers so better I end here. Watch it and judge urself.
La casa de papel: Vivir muchas vidas (2021)
Upto season 3 this show was good.
Last season was boring as they dragged the show unnecessarily. And this mid finale of Tokyo's death was out of logic. It would have been amazing if she had died while getting lots of shots at her but when I saw her eyes open, I was like-when is she going to die? So many bullets and she is still concious and not dead. And adding more stupidity to it, she had granades which she could have thrown at them and escape through that vent. Arghh! Doesn't feel like Money Heist anymore.
Samantar: The Last Parallel Journey (2021)
Scary, sad and amazing ending
I told myself all the way while watching season 2 that if he somehow doesnt beat Kaal then I am going to rate this show 1 but the series was soo good I couldn't. Enjoyed this very much. Feeling bad the hero though. And everything was explained at the end.
Fear Street: 1978 (2021)
This was so much better than the part one
First of all, I didn't like the part one but still was waiting to see this one because of Max from Stranger Things. And I am so happy I did because this one was soo damn good. I even cried at the end and I didn't know anything. Didn't even see the trailer so until the end I was shocked and amazed by the twists and everything. Now, the third part seems even more interesting. Something tells me that maybe Sarah Fiere isn't the witch everyone think is. Maybe some other witch or curse iss causing this. Anyways, we will find out soon in next week.
Radhe (2021)
I am done
No creativity. Nothing new. All I see is one fat criminal roaming free. Sorry but these cheap act doesn't work for me.
Ajeeb Daastaans (2021)
Bdw 2nd story is not a farce
I am from Arunachal and many many years ago a female servant boiled the baby in a pressure cooker and ran away. She did that in anger because the husband and wife used to beat her I guess. That's what I heard while growing up.
Bdw that Konkona sen and Aditi Roa story was too good. It was more than just a same sex attraction movie.
Jersey (2019)
I am smiling
Heard a lot about this movie but I find comeback movies very cliche so I was avoiding this from a long time. But I have an exam day after tomorrow in because of stress I decided to watch a movie to relax myself. I tried to watch a korean action thriller movie but audio was not available so I was left with Jersey to watch. This movie was very different and exceeded my expectations. This is how u make a comeback sports movie. I am so young but I could totally understand the situation of that hero as well as his wife. Both were not wrong. Ending was very emotional. Now I just hope my exam will go well. Haha.
Roohi (2021)
Didn't like it.
Rajkumar Rao please choose movies wisely. We all know u r a very good actor. But these days u kinda feel like overacting.
Vikram Vedha (2017)
With this movie I rest South Indians produce best thriller movies in our country.
I like good thriller movies but there r very few. Kaithi Ratchasan and Thadam were very good but I thought that's that. But today I watched this movie n I must say, just one industry that too Tamils producing these many is also a very big thing. Bollywood produces movies every week n still there's very few good ones. Hats off to Tamil cinema Hats off to the entire team of this movie.
The Girl on the Train (2021)
Eww!
How can anybody rate this movie 10? It's an insult to rating meter.
Yakusoku no Neverland: Episode #2.4 (2021)
Omg!
I am so-so-so disappointed with this episode. I know my Yuugo is alive because his name wasn't there in the wall which means he is the one who wrote them down. But the reason why am giving one star is because the animation looked very bad. And their hunting for food and all didn't make any sense. This season is becoming too childish.
Also, how did the ratri's soldier found them an all weren't clearly shown. This show is going downhill. Thank god I have read the manga just five days ago.
Yakusoku no Neverland: Episode #2.3 (2021)
Where is my Yuugo?
If goes according to Manga then the shelter is a safe place for them to stay but there was supposed to be a man, living there with his guilt. Yuugo, he is suppose to teach them how to fight, hunt and survive. Yuugo is my favorite character. Once I see him in anime, I will stop watching because I don't think I can handle that pain of seeing him die again.
Edit: Why nobody is finding my review helpful? I swear I will hunt every single one of u if u think bad about Yuugo. He is the best character I have ever seen in any manga.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Ok but not great.
I am a DC fan so I was really very hyped for this one. Joker and Birds of prey were fantastic so I thought this one would be too however the movie lacked action sequences and I wish they had left Chris Pine dead because he doesn't feel like a good reason for Diana to become selfish.
Lastly, Kristin Wiggs was the saving grace of this movie. Liked her a lot and I think she even looked more beautiful than Gal Gadot but her character too became boring at the end when she transformed into a cheetah.
Overall good movie. Just don't expect it to be like the first part.
A Suitable Boy: Six (2020)
Lata never gave chance to Kabir Durani
I understand she married the right guy but the thing is, she never gave chance to Kabir Durani. He was just a college student for god's sake. He had so many problems in his life, a mother who doesn't recognise him, a father who cares nothing about anything other than mathematics. Despite of all these, he went to meet Lata at Kolkata to see if he could get a last chance to convince her. I won't say that he was a suitable boy but Lata definitely did injustice to that lover boy.
And I really felt like Lata is using all three of them. Maybe not Kabir, but she did used the other two, Amit and the shoemaker. Maybe, that's right from a bengali's perception.
Andhaghaaram (2020)
If u have come here to read the reviews without watch the movie then please first watch them come
Best mystery+supernatural combo movie of the year. Omg! Selvam was such a lovable character. I wonder what happened to his house at the end. Bdw, to all those wondering if they should watch it, well u must. The movie is very mysterious and the story is also very good. Even at 2 hours past, I couldn't understand the connection between all the three stories. It was that brilliant. I do had one doubt if the movie is from a Tamil industry or Malayalam because they kept mentioning Kerala here n there so I wasn't sure. I know, I know it wasn't exactly a scary or horror type but still I felt very scared at many points in the movie. And actors were very believable. They all looked like common people. I like these kind of movies with realistic type characters. These days I am interested to watch regional movies more.
His Dark Materials: Theft (2020)
I love this show
Each episode is getting better and better. And visuals r just amazing. I understand why some people r bored by this show because there is so much to know and so far we know nothing. What is Lyra's destiny, who will she betray and so on and on.
Bdw, the dagger which was talked in this episode can cut through worlds. It will be amazing to see how it will be used
Anjali (1990)
Omg! So unexpectedly this came in my recommendation
I still remember how much I cried when I watched this movie. I must have been 7 or 8 years old but still I could understand this movie thanks to hindi dubbed otherwise couldn't read subtitles back then.
Now I am 25 and it's like 20 years I haven't seen this movie but I can still recollect that stormy night, son thinking his father is cheating than Anjali, families bond with eachother and the sad ending. This must be the first South Indian movie I had ever watched and the first movie that made me cry. The impact was so high I still remember it. Maybe, someday I will watch it again but right now little busy. Will watch someday in peace.
Mirzapur: King of Mirzapur (2020)
First few minutes of the finale was lit.
The long awaited death of Babuji finally happened and I was more than happy. I thought since one Tripathi died so no more deaths will take place but damn.
Honest review, this season had a very good story with every character given screen time even though many's arc has alread reached it's peak in the first few episodes. But there is one thing I didn't like about this season is the action sequences. Somewhere, Mirzapur lacked in presenting great fight and bullet firing scenes. It was very weird to see Khaleen bhaiyya and Munna getting shot and shoot back. Also, the end, I get it Khaleen bhaiyya injured body could be easily taken to a car and run but I wish they had done it in a plausible way.
Apart from these I really enjoyed these season right from the start. I binge watched all the episodes in one sitting from mid night till mid day and then I slept. Lol
Contracorriente (2009)
This movie is everything
I am so glad I am gay. Because if not, maybe, I would have never watched this movie. I watched this movie back in 2015 I think and my heart ached for like one week. I was so sad and depressed but I couldn't tell anyone. I watched this last night so am sad again. But this doesn't mean that the movie is a sad one, rather, this movie takes u into a reality it creates and it is so beautiful that when the movie ends, that reality ends with it and so the pain of separation with that lingers in our heart for sometime. I am not usually into love stories type but this one is the best one I ever saw. Even better than straight love movies.
For those looking for good gay movies here my list-
1. Weekend (2011)
2. God's Own country
3. Eyes wilde open
All three of them will leave a lump in ur throat.
Some good ones but not to the level of above three-
1. 4th man out.
2. Out in the dark
Coming back to this movie, i just have one wish, to see this movie with someone. But things in real life is a different story.
I Know This Much Is True: Six (2020)
HBO is going to take all the Emmys this year
Yep, u heard me right. Nicole Kidman will take the Emmys for best actress and Mark Ruffalo will take it for the best actor. No need to say anything about the finale. All the 6 episodes were great. I just completed all of them in one sitting.
