Uyanis: Büyük Selcuklu (2020)
Excellent period piece
This is an INCREDIBLE show! Superb story and action. It's also very well balanced and doesn't exaggerate or drag out plot lines (except for a few main storylines) like similar shows. It's really a shame that the actors and producer couldn't come to an agreement on a second season (that's why it's an all new storyline after the first season).
Kurulus: Osman (2019)
Starts off slow but gets much better
I was a little skeptical from the first season. Pace was generally slower and not as exciting. But wow does this show fix itself in the second season! I'm feeling a lot of the excitement I felt while I was watching Ertugrul with the plot twists and excellent acting. Battle scenes are much larger scale and done very well. One of my favorite shows!
Dirilis: Ertugrul (2014)
My favorite TV series by far
One of the best series I've ever spent time watching and it will take A LOT of time to watch it all - this show is massive! Never stops being entertaining; even when you're able to figure out what's going to happen beforehand, the execution is marvelous. It's not a perfect show - there are some issues with pacing, repetitive plot, etc., but it's just so engrossing that it's very easy to overlook those flaws. For those who only watched a few episodes and are on the fence, keep watching!! The show takes some time for all of the plot to develop but the payout is definitely worth it.
Tayea (2018)
A spectacular journey
Wow! I didn't know where this show was going when I started it but it sure was a magnificent ride. The show is perfect in so many ways - the acting, the story, the cinematics. Once I started, I couldn't stop; I ended up binge watching all 30 episodes. It's an emotional roller coaster but well worth it for the strong of heart.
Al Hayba (2017)
Very enjoyable show with some flaws
Overall, this is a very enjoyable show with (mostly) excellent acting, a plot that keeps you involved and the desire to keep watching after each episode ends.
With that being said, some things about the plot just collapse at the end and I wasn't convinced by the turn of events at all...
***WARNING!!!! SEASON 1 ENDING SPOILERS***
First and foremost, does anyone really believe the complete 180 they pulled with Aliya near the end? She suddenly out of nowhere wants Jabal and will do anything he says? I could tell they were going to do this from very early on but I think it was really too idealistic the way they portrayed her sudden change and I didn't find it believable. I don't think her actress did either as she complained about the direction of the show and didn't return for future filming.
Also, Sakhar and Rima - really??? I get that he saved her from that bad situation but she suddenly loves him after hating him this whole time? It doesn't even make logical sense.
I understand it's a TV show and things like this happen but they could've really done a better job of convincing the audience. Anyway, since both of these events happen near the tail end of the show, I let it slide and just enjoyed the show for what it was. Excellent writing and I would watch again.
Justice: Qalb Al Adala (2017)
Interesting show on law in Abu Dhabi
Very interesting show. It starts off slow but it does pick up more as the series goes on but it's never a fast-paced show. There is definitely some questionable acting and some of the story lines could've been more detailed but overall it's been enjoyable. You can get a rare insight to a world that not many people see.
