It's just 2 hours of people going "aaaaahhh" for no reason surrounded by cgi, a myriad of cartoon characters and nonsensical actions by everyone.
Bill Pullmans beard is the only thing worth appreciating and that gets shaved off eventually. How did the writer of the original think, 'yes I've cracked it' after 20 years and wrote this. Most scenes are full of rubbish one liners or saying things for the sake if it, like Jack Black's character in tropic thunder (the movie within a movie parts) and he was being satirical, this lot are being serious. Like previously said, screaming aaaahhh at things doesn't make for suspense.
