Don't Worry Darling (2022)
it had potential to be great
This movie could've been hailed as one of the greatest films of the 2010s but it failed to do so by a long shot. Due to the cold hard fact that there's numerous plot holes. This movie could've been 3 hours too. For example what did the main character see within that building and why did she start hallucinating when she started touching the glass?! Why is it that she can see these hallucinations and no one else can?! When the housewives stay at home and do their chores. And the husbands go to work what exactly do these men do for a living?! Does their job have any correlation to the simulation whatsoever?! Does it exacerbate the control system of said simulation?! What's the significance of the plane crash?! What are those men that are known for wearing an all red uniform who are they really working for?! Why did the black girl that the main lead kept seeing why did she killed herself?! What was the motive behind it what was it that she saw that caused her to be traumatized?!
So many questions yet it seems to me that the screenwriter was too damn lazy to do a better story to bring another classic for the books.
Seriously though based on the cinematography I can tell that Olivia Wilde dropped a huge wad of cash to financed it but she could've made a much more wiser investment in the near future by hiring a better writer that has more ingenuity and zest.
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001)
moral of the story be more direct with your intentions
Something tells me the main character has autism and that's why she's always beating around the bush. None the less it's a fantastic movie that causes you to root for the character hoping that she will gain confidence to be more socially outgoing. The secondary characters are the icing on the cake. I personally felt that Amelie should've gone out with the produce guy they have the exact same habits and personalities.
Her smile can be quite creepy and off putting at times. But it's not that big of a deal knowing that the film is about trying to make a connection with someone you have mutual interest in.
BoJack Horseman: Fish Out of Water (2016)
best episode of this show
I don't even think the Simpsons have ever come up with this type of episode. This one right here is just downright authentic it felt like I was watching one of those really short films in a theater before the actual film comes up. So to summarize it, it's basically Bojack going to this underwater city to attend this movie premiere but instead Bojack gets himself caught up in numerous adventures with this adorable sea horse baby. And this is the only non verbal episode of this series. This episode is going to sell like hot cakes when it's available to purchase on YouTube.
Not really a big fan of this show, but this episode is downright lovely to watch.
The Last Duel (2021)
deja vu scenes
The movie was somewhat good not great nor extraordinary. This is the helen of troy all over again but this time it takes place in medieval times. Basically it follows the story of this woman who's married to this knight, he's friends with this dude who goes by the name of Jacques. Long story short; jacques rapes his friend's wife, jean gets the news from his wife becomes enrage by this foul crime, and wants to fight him to the death.
There's three chapters where each scene correlates to the conflict that is the rape scene, and confessing it to the court judges. However, when these scenes appear it gives off a deja vu vibe, mainly because the scene takes place in the same buildings over and over again. Not to mention it has the same dialogue, and responses. So it makes you think that your watching the same scene again thanks to the fact that these similar scenes were already shown during the first half of the movie.
I blame the screenwriters for making us feel like this , and when you do your research you come to the conclusion that matt damon and ben Affleck wrote this movie. So no wonder this screenplay feels vague due to the fact that this movie is written by professional actors and not pro writers.
None the less, the ending of the movie was the best part. Great fighting scene to remember.
The Young Pope (2016)
Morbid Show
This show deals with drama, conflict, betrayal, etc. It shows us the gritty side of the Vatican that we do not see on camera. With that being said, I cannot stand the music selection they pick for each scene. For example, someone decided to pick the song I'm sexy and I know it by LMFAO as the pope was getting dressed in his dressing room. Weird song selection for let alone an actor that's playing as a pope.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Terrible
Uncle Junior Soprano shot the main character all because the schmuck fell on a set of stairs, and dickie moltisantti humiliated him in front of his relatives. What a terrible ending to a terrible prequel.
