9: Nine (2019)
Not the usual Malayalam formula movie!!
This is one of my favourite movies in Malayalam and it's one of the few Sci-fi movies in the industry to begin with. The backdrop of the movie is the mountains of Himachal and was simply stunning especially the afterimage of the comet in the skies (it gave off a bit "Stranger Things" vibes).
The story has some flaws here and there, however the credits scene of the movie makes up for it. I love this movie so much, mainly because of that single credits scene which topples the entire movie in a different direction from the assumed POV at that point.
Also, special mention for actress (Wamiqa Gabbi) whose eyes matched and raised the potential of the whole movie.
If you are into sci-fi stuffs, I will highly recommend you to watch it.
Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV (2016)
A damn good movie which left me craving for more!!!
I really enjoyed re-watching this movie last week. The world and the magic system are just dope. I really connected with the main character Nyx Ulric and hoped (still hoping) in the sidelines his story will continue at the very least as a lore.
Though it's supposed to be a prequel movie to the game Final fantasy XV, it stands alone on its own with no volition to anything. The concept of Old Wall was just EPIC LIT!!! Totally unexpected along with the ring of power of Lucii. Damn awesome.!!
A well-made movie! A must-watch especially if you are fan of fantasy worlds and magic systems. You'll see something unique in this movie. Last but not least, a great story with memorable characters and memorable moments. (-:
Arrival (2016)
A Spectacular Experience!!!!
A slow-paced movie that delivers at the end. The revelation and the concepts presented in the movie is damn amazing. The direction has played an important role as well. Ain't no way better way to tell a story. I was surprised to find out it's based on a short story by Ted Chiang.
All-in-all, a must watch movie.
The Unforgivable (2021)
A well-made movie.!
A damn good movie. I loved it, and it simply breezed through. If you're into movies that focus on redemption, a MUST-WATCH is all I can say.
Everything In Its Right Place. ^____^
"But, Life doesn't go on. You leave behind everything you love."
Carmen Sandiego (2019)
"Where in the world is Carmen. . . Sandiegooo.."
A darn-great show.
Just finished S4. It had a good conclusion.
I loved Crackle (aka Gray aka Calloway) and Shadowsan sooo much. *____*
I wish to see more of them in the future (if there is one). Gray went an extra mile in the end and I LOVED IT. Also, special mention for the ACME Agents Chase and Argent. Last but not least, the childhood computer prodigy Player. ^_______^
It was truly a ride and I don't know if it'll be renewed for another season but thank you for what you have showcased. :')
Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
A tribute to Rambo.
Not a great movie as the predecessors but, regardless it's a Rambo story.
"All the ones I've loved are now ghosts. But, I will fight to keep their memories alive forever."
That part really hit hard one me, being a Rambo fan. I liked the movie and I guess it's a closure and a tribute to Sylvester Stallone for all the Rambo movies.
#Adieu.
Arcane: League of Legends (2021)
A Gem of 2021!!!
9 episodes - 3 acts and a lot of character development forming the backstory of what it is to come.
Undoubtedly, my favorite of 2021.
Highly recommended even if you don't know anything about League of Legends. Riot games has made it well, be it animation or OST or the plot points.
Kaze ga tsuyoku fuiteiru (2018)
One of my all-time favourites.
This anime comes under Sports/Slice of Life. But, it's mainly about the redemption of each and every character in the anime. Highly recommended if you like sports or slice of life anime.
