The Truman Show (1998)
A Must-Watch Masterpiece!
The Truman Show is much more than just an entertaining and thought-provoking movie. It's a brilliant commentary on almost every aspect of life - even more relevant today than it was almost a quarter century ago ...
The First Lady (2022)
Wish it were just Michelle Pfeiffer playing Betty Ford
Michelle Pfeiffer shines as Betty Ford, brilliantly capturing her essence without resorting to the distracting mimicry that mars Viola Davis' portrayal of Michelle Obama. It's deeply disappointing that an actress as accomplished as Viola Davis didn't realize that a misguided attempt to duplicate someone else's facial features could only yield a cringey and painful-to-watch performance, remembered only by the totally unnecessary duck lips that she exhibits throughout the show. It's an insult to Mrs. Obama, her beauty and her legacy.
