When you can't find it, be it!

Don't mean to be disrespectful, I truly believe these are good guys. Would love to share a beer. Just started watching the show last season. My career as pastor and my experiences professionally can validate much of the premise for the show.

BUT, when the characters become the "anomaly" they're seeking, and that's the center piece of the "compelling evidence." Sorry. Nope. I get it. That's the entertainment element that keeps an audience.

Again, no disrespect. Just curious what these dudes could reveal without the pressures of the execs and ratings.

Looking forward to more evidence outside of the crew's head or feelings, or whatever. Hey, keep moving forward with more investigations! Spiritual warfare is a b*tch!

The Diplomat (II) (2023– )

I'm waiting....

First 4 episodes in and it's a bit too whimsical for the weight of the plot. But I'm hopeful...new shows often need time for character development, by the actors and writers.

Could be the lack of a music score in most scenes leaves it raw and more vulnerable. A good thing. More burden on the actors, writers and director to develop the tension. I'm waiting and cheering in hope. Love the cast. Love the show runners!

Again, we'll see.

Granted I'm only two episodes in. I have to submit a review. Who taught these German police how to investigate a potential crime? And the laws in Germany that prevent further investigation on a person if they're dead? Really? I'm so proud of our LEOs, the way we conduct criminal investigations and the forensic scientist here in the U. S. Sorry, Germany. You make great beer and cars. Catching bad guys?? Not so sure.

Although the investigation of unidentifiable flying stuff is worthy of attention, this series ends with Ufology- a religion- a belief system theory that pushes a "must be reason" for contact is to save the planet from imminent danger... blah blah blah. Really? Presuppositions to fact finding is just an agenda to make things say what you want or need it to say.

The Expanse (2015–2022)

Other sci fi genres stand well enough on their own, like Star Wars or Star Trek. The Expanse, however, is the best there is on all fronts!

This is so bad. I guess this is how scripts were written in the late 90s. Stupid stereotypes for a laugh you'll only get from someone under a lot of influence. Or...watch it and pretend it's like some "ghetto" Mystery Science Theater 3000 and have fun with it.

Everything about this series: production, writing, directing and of course brilliant actors! Just finished season three, like a well-aged, first growth, Bordeaux, episode one ignites the palate, drawing you in with every sip until episode ten, leaving a long lingering satisfying finish... with great anticipation for season four. There will be another season... right!?

...to be hooked on another series with great actors, but...No offense to the artistic direction for storytelling but way too much Director for me.
