Gluten, l'ennemi public? (2021)
This explains alot
As a sufferer of an IBD with an intolerance to gluten, this documentary explains alot.
Disgusted by some of these statements if they are factual. This world is governed by corporations earning trillions, regardless on the effect it has on the planet and its people.
The documentary covers the history of gluten, questioning why something that has been a staple to our diet is now effecting us. Detailing the changes in the growth and maintenance of wheat highlight similarities to increased diagnosis of many different illnesses suffered by the worlds population.
It does leave you wondering, for something that is so obviously poisoning us, why are our Governments allowing it? How factual are these findings? Why are powerful influencers and figures also not demanding changes?
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
Rome was not built in a day
AFTER THE OPENING WEEKEND FIRST TWO EPISODES.
The expectations from people sometimes baffles me. Some people think being able to criticise someones work makes them look intelligent or better.
The first two episodes capture the beauty of Tolkiens world and starts to tell a story that we have imagined up until now.
Some of the characters are a bit wooden, although I am not sure if this is in intention or not.
Some of the script is a bit forgetable and also sometimes hard to understand the point. At some points I felt like I was watching a Shakespeare film using a language that is not common to the usual viewer.
The first 2 episodes have kept me intrigued to continue watching as I am confident that something will be pulled out of the bag.
Rogue One (2016)
This is how you make a prequel
This film had the advantage of us as the audience having no attachment with the main characters. This allows the story tellers to create past and present lore that doesn't interfere with what we already knew.
Rogue One beautifully weaves in and out of the pretellings of A New Hope without forcing jigsaw pieces in to places where it doesn't quite fit properly.
The first part of the film is a little slow but builds up to the final 2 acts which are filled with excitement, adventure and emotion.
As a fan, this film is in my top 3 (maybe joint).
My only frustration, is why nobody from Disney learned anything as to why this film was a success when making all future developments. As of 2022, the only production close to "doing it right" is Mandalorian.
If you haven't seen this film but love the originals, stop what you are doing and watch it.
Playing with Sharks: The Valerie Taylor Story (2021)
Amazing Journey
Ron and Valerie Taylor are an asset to this world and hopefully will breed new generations of conservationists for years to come.
Sharks are amazing creatures, not monsters.
The Most Dangerous Animal of All (2020)
We believe what we are shown
This documentary proves that;
1. We believe the evidence that is given to us and we trust that is credible and has credible sources.
2. We find enough pieces and we make them fit.
