Boutique (2004)
A good portrait of the life a lower-class iranian girl
I recommend watching this movie to all fans of Iranian cinema. From my point of view, it is more like a documentary about the life of a lower-class Iranian girl who dreams of a good life that she has never experienced. The story progresses in the shadow of the naive relationship that develops between the main actor and the actress (which is not the main focus of the film) and goes on very simple, real and relatable and then reaches the climax. It also tries to show the issues the lower classes in Iran face in a daily basis. The acting is also admirable, for which Golshifteh won the best actress award at the 3 Continents Festival.
Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018)
a poetic short story
It was one of the movies that didn't seem like a master piece to me right after I finished watching it. But by time, I smile every time I think of it. The movie goes on slowly, with no especial zenith, but still succeeds in keeping you eagerly watching it by its poetic atmosphere and intriguing actings. I recommend it to anyone who likes to enjoy watching a movie with a tranquil setting (still rich in emotions), catching actings and a beautiful storyline.
