Death of a Superhero (2011)
got sucked in by the story
"Death of a Superhero" is a heard touching film about a boy who has cancer. Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Andy Serkis played their roles so perfect, that I totally forgot that their are just actors. I was able to feel into the boys mind without getting distracted by any bad played scenes. Any scene, however played, seemed perfectly fitting for these two characters. Aisling Loftus played her role great too. When I was watching the film the first time, I got sucked in by the great characters and lost myself in the beautiful story. The music in the movie fits its scenes perfectly. Those comic scenes gave the film just the right touch to not be mainstream.
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
Vulgar but very good !
Yes, the film is vulgar, it is shocking, and it is offensive, but so are the characters. They are greedy, morally reprehensible characters. And this film does not reward them for it. If you are easily offended, and can't tolerate any of the content listed before, then do yourself a favor, and don't watch this movie. It has characters that we love to watch but hate at the same time. I thought this was an amazing film, full of energy and great performances. Leonardo DiCaprio displays something we don't often see from him, humor. And he is hysterical. The socially unaccepted vulgarities that is in almost ever sentence of the dialog is part of the message of the movie. The people in the movie have no real friends, nor are their wives loving and devoted.
Great movie. It's 3 hours long, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
Jurassic Park (1993)
This is THE MOVIE!
Jurassic Park is simply one of the greatest blockbusters ever made. The plot is simple, a group of experts and friends are invited to explore a theme park that has yet to open. The park is filled with living dinosaurs cloned from DNA. And quickly, the tour becomes a terrifying thrill-ride of survival. Of course, all of our humans are overshadowed by the real stars of the film, the dinosaurs. It's indeed rare that a movie comes along that is so special and has such a tremendous impact on the audiences, that when it happens, it's a reason for celebration, which is exactly what Steven Spielberg gave the world with "Jurassic Park". This is a movie everyone can enjoy, except for those who want to try and find something wrong on purpose. Jurassic Park is one of the best, if not the best, movies made about dinosaurs. The CGI effects have become common in about every movie, yet the creatures appear real.
