Catwoman (2004)

Trash Classic

Catwoman is an adaptation of Bob Kane's graphic novel,directed by French director Pitof.This movie is a genuine trash classic,it doesn't deserves 10 stars,but it deserves 6 because it is full of camp and style,Halle Berry is really bad but really sexy in her role.Sharon Stone is also really bad,probably the worst villain in the comic book adaptations so far.Benjamin Bratt did a good job in this movie.But this movie is really a classic because it has it's own unforgettable moments.Every fan of trash movie will really enjoy in this movie,but if you are interested in watching quality movies like for example The Usual Suspects or the Shawshank Redemption you probably will not enjoy in this kind of movie.the title of my review says it all.It's a trash classic.

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

Beautiful movie

First I must say that The Shawshank redemption is with no doubt a masterpiece.It is important to say that these days Hollywood is not making quality artistic movies,it is all about blockbusters,high budgets,commercial movies and special effects.Well,this movie on the contorary is one of the most important films of the 90's and maybe the most touching movie of all time.Full of or realist emotions this movie touches the heart of the average viewer in a very impressive and original way.It is a tale of hope and dreams of freedom.In 1994,almost unknown Frank Dourbunt created a movie that changed the movie history and showed to people that in the day of special effects and extremely gory film there can be a film totally different from all the others.Morgan Freeman and Tim Robins are great in this movie and they really deserved numerous awards that they received for making this film.There are many people who claimed that his movie changed their way of living and thinking in a good way and that is the biggest thing that a product of the 7th art can achieve.

Watchable TV Mystery

I saw this movie five minutes ago on best Croatian TV channel called Nova TV.I am not a fan of Cybill Shepard,to be perfectly honest I almost never heard of her.This was a mystery movie about private detective Samantha Weathers.This movie was not a mystery to me because I could predict the development and the plot since the beginning of the movie.It would be important to know that this movie isn't an unforgettable mystery,it is not a masterpiece,but it has it's charms.The direction and acting in the movie are OK,slightly better then average,and the dialogs are pretty intelligent.The music in the movie was classical jazz.I am not a jazz fan,but the music in this movie was quite entertaining to me.This is not a must see movie but if you are really bored and you don't have anything smart to do you can watch this semi entertaining movie with cute dialogs and decent acting.It is not a bad movie,but it is definitely not a perfect movie.If you are willing to not to look at the flaws of this movie(low budget,cliché's,predictable movie) you shouldn't watch this.But if you can just relax and enjoy the movie this movie could be good popcorn fun for you.

300 (2006)

Lean Back haters

There are so much good things and compliments that I can write about this movie.This is the first classic of the 21st century,one of my favorite movies(300,The Usual Suspects,1408).Everybody knows that this movie is visually impressive,but it is not just a visual experience.Vincent Regan and Gerard Butler are just terrific in their roles.The director Zack Snyder(The dawn of the dead) has did his job in a perfect way.I can say that this is an adaptation of Frank Miller comic book which is inspired by a historic event.I hope that all people who didn't like this movie for some political or unknown reasons are aware that they don't have good taste,this movie has good acting performances,brilliant direction,great special effects,it is visually impressive,has impressive battle scenes,depth,awesome screenplay and it is a demonstration of excellent film making.I had seen this movie only once for now but i really hope that i will have the chance to watch it again.It is clear that this is a real piece of art.Some people say that this movie is overrated with rating 8.0,I think that it is underrated.It is with no doubt one of the best movies ever made and a real classic among historical and war movies of all time.This is a truly epic movie.

Derailed (2002)

I am angry

I am very angry.But not at Jean Claude Van Damme or the director Bob Misiriowski,but at myself.I have seen the summary of the movie called Derailed,starred by Jean Claude Van Damme,and I decided to watch this movie.The summary of movie was boring and full of cliché's,the star of the movie was Jean Claude Van Damme who is a solid martial artist but a poor actor.This movie is directed by Bob Misiriowski who films movies only for making money,not for fun of the viewers and not for the movie art.He is only interested in making money,and he isn't even good at that.I have some doubts now,why have I decided to watch this movie??Why???Am I a stupid man???I really enjoyed only in one Van Damme's movie......It was called Inferno....an original western-action-revenge movie with Danny Trejo and Pat Morita,legendary Mexican and Japanese actor.That movie was a trash classic,full of camp and style.But this movie is nothing like that.It is an irritating action thriller.It is not thriller,i wasn't thrilled i was annoyed by the movie...the only exciting momment was when the movie ended.Do not watch this movie.Avoid it at all costs.

1408 (2007)

I expected a good horror movie

I really expected a good movie,I am a big fan of Stephen King.He is a great horror books writer.John Cusack is talented actor,and Samuel L.Jackson is one of the best actors of all time.But I didn't get a good horror movie,I got my new favorite movie.This movie is just brilliant.It creates creepy and terrifiying atmosphere and there is nothing scarier then human conscience.John Cusack did his job in a fantastic way.He is a good actor,but i couldn't imagine him in this role.I must admit that I was hoping that there will be more scenes with Samuel L.Jackson.The ending of the movie was great,it was not shocking-wannabe ending it was a genuine surprise and it was creepy.I think that Samuel and John deserved to win Oscars for this movie.This is without any doubt the best movie of 2007 and the best movie ever made after The Usual Suspects and 300.This movie takes horror to a whole new level and horror fans with good taste will be very pleased after watching this film.I must say that I am still thinking about this great movie.

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007)

below average action/sf movie

I liked the first Alien vs Predator movie,it was not an intelligent movie,it was not a classic, but it was entertaining and i really enjoy watching it.But this movie is really bad.Although i must admit that i was distracted while i was watching this film because my girlfriend was sitting next to me and she was beautiful as always.....But this movie was really bad.At some moments the plot and the dialogs were so bad that they were hilarious.The acting and direction of the movie are average.The only good sides of this movie is that it is short and it has some good special effects.Well,i must say that I enjoyed in the theater but I was enjoying when I was looking at my girlfriend,not at the movie.It is very strange to me that some people say that this movie is first class science fiction film because it is definitely not first class movie in any way.You should know that if you really want to watch first class movie Alien vs Predator is not a movie for you.But, if you want a festival of special effects,cheesy characters,sleazy dialogs,and average teenagers screaming then i highly recommend this movie for you.

28 Days Later (2002)

One of the best horror movies ever made

28 Days later is a brilliant horror movie.But it is much more than just a horror.It is a drama about human emotions,moral choices and the dark side of the hummanity.The director of this movie is skilled British director Danny Boyle who often films very dark movies.Movie that he made are not good for anyone,they are dark moody,gore and they show the best and the worst in human beings without an excuse.I am looking forward to watch some of his new movies.Cillian Murphy is perfectly selected for his role,He is a talented young actor and there is a great future in front of him.I watched him in Hollywood blockbuster Red Eye,and he was also great but he deserves to get a chance to star in much better movie than Red Eye.The supporting cast also did their job without any mistakes,they were all decent in their roles.I must admit that in the beginning of the movie I didn't expected such depth in this movie,also I didn't expected that this movie will be so intelligent and gory.I would not recommend this movie to people under the age of 15 because they probably would find this movie as just another gory and boring movie,but this movie is not just gory and action-packed.This movie has tension,brilliant direction,intelligent screenplay,great acting and I would recommend this movie to people who like horror movies and people who like quality masterpieces because this movie is a quality horror masterpiece and i know that this movie will become a classic in the 21st century.

Red Eye (2005)

Huge Disappointment

I was expecting a lot from this movie.Wes Craven is a brilliant director.Cillian Murphy is really good in his role,but this is not a quality thriller movie,it has some thrilling moments but this is a very stupid movie with a lot of unlogical holes in the plot.I have to say that i am very disappointed because this movie could be so much better.I really don't understand the bad screenplay.Rachel McAdams is really cute and she is talented actress.This movie is a waste of talent,waste of money and waste of time if you are a demanding viewer.I like quality thriller movies with surprising endings and convincig twists in the plot.But this wasn't a good movie for me,i wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone with high IQ.

Talkin' Dirty After Dark (1991)

Very good comedy

Martin Lawrence is my favourite comedy actor.This is his first leading role in a movie.He is great.This movie has small budget but it has some funny jokes and it is very entertaining movie.I would recommend this movie to anyone who like quality and intelligent comedy movies.Although it is an independent movie with very low budget there are many famous black comedy names in this movie:John Witherspoon(Friday,DR.Dollitle 2),Tiny Listner(Dracula 3000).They are also great actors.Witherspoon is one of the most famous black comedy actors of all time,and Listner is hilarious in this movie.This movie is not a masterpiece but it is very funny and it is easy to watch this movie and enjoy in brilliant jokes about sex and life of ordinary black people.I have seen many Martin Lawrence movies but this movie is different there the others,It is a classical slapstick comedy.The scenes in the comedy club are great.All the comedy actors are very funny and talented.The movie follows story of another stand up comedy actor,He is in love in a cute girl,but two other girls are chasing him,one of them is ugly,but the other one is sexy and I enjoyed while i was watching her in this movie.This is a silly comedy for people who like black comedies and sex jokes is highly recommended.

Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005)

ONLY for kids

I am a big fan of Steve Martin and Eugene Levy,but I did not enjoy in this movie.Because it is a bit too-light hearted for me,and I expected some really funny jokes but I did get that.It is not a comedy it is a predictable family movie which is good for kids.Because all the kids aged 8 that I know enjoyed in this movie.I am a big fan of Eugene Levy,he and Martin Lawrence are my favourite comedy actors,but this role wasn't good for him.He and Steve Martin are great actors,but they can't save this movie for me because i am not a fan of these kind of family movies.This is a movie for kids,i repeat once again,and I would like to say that I am looking forward to new Eugene Levy's films because I hope that they will be much much better then this family educational(for kids) movie.

Juwanna Mann (2002)

Full of cliché's,but entertaining

This is a comedy about a basketball player who dresses into a woman and fall in love in his team mate.Is this movie a masterpiece?Definitely no.Is this movie predictable?Definitely yes.But that's not the problem.This is an average comedy,you will enjoy it if you do not take it too serious.It has some fun moments,and it is not that bad movie.Kevin Pollack is a great in the role of Juwanna's manager,the direction is decent,and it is a light-hearted funny movie good for Sunday evening entertainment.I would recommend this movie to kids who like basketball,i really think that this is a great movie for them.If you are looking unpredictable,great masterpiece then don't watch this.But I think that it is good to accuasionally watch movies of this category to relax and enjoy in the light-hearted story.

Federal Protection (2002 TV Movie)

fun thriller,but stupid

This is an average American Thriller.The movie is OK fun for Monday evening entertainment.The direction is decent.The director of this movie is well-known and skilled British director Anthony Hickox.The stars of the movie are: an average but charismatic actor Armand Assante,and sexy actress,Dina Meyer.She is so hot.I enjoyed while i was watching her in this movie.This movie is pretty fun,it is thrilling,but there are a lot flaws in this movie:some holes in the plot,bad screenplay,bad camera work,and some actors are convincing at all.Although it has some bad sides,I enjoyed in the movie because i wasn't expecting too much.And if you are not looking for a brilliant film,you should watch this one,because it is fun,the acting and production are OK,and I promise you won't be disappointed.It is stupid fun thriller for people of all ages.

The Usual Suspects (1995)

best movie ever made

This is my favourite movie.I love movie with convincing twists in the plot and this is the best mystery movie ever made.Kevin Spacey is great as Verbal Kint.He's performance is stunning.The other actors in the movie are also great.Thanks to all of them.Stephen Baldwin,Kevin Pollack,Chazz Palmienteri,Benicio Del Toro,Gabriel Bryne.All of them are brilliant.The script is also awesome,and the director Bryan Singer has made one of the best movies of all time for crime fans.I do not understand people who say that this movie is not that great because i am sure that this is the best movie ever made.I have watched it five time,and i will definitely watch it again because it is an unforgettable experience.I would recommend this movie to everyone who likes great acting and direction.This is the best movie ever made and Kevin Spacey become my favourite actor after i watched this movie.Watch this movie and enjoy!

The Foreigner (2003)

when i was a kid i loved Seagal

Two things are changed from then.First of all i am not a kid anymore,and second most of new Seagal movies are just terrible.This is on my opinion the worst movie ever made with Derailed starred by Jean Claude Van Damme.There is no plot in this movie,the plot is just an excuse to shoot some terrible action scenes which are painful to watch.I love action movies,but this is not an action movie....This isn't a movie...this is a group of irritating scenes which are connected in annoying way to kill the viewers love for the action movies.I am sorry but i don't have any respect for anyone who liked this movie.He has a serious intelligence problem then.I hope that Seagal will make some new good movies in the future.Good luck for him !

Black Mask 2: City of Masks (2002)

bad movie,but interesting

I KNOW THIS IS A BAD MOVIE.The screenplay is really bad,and the actors are unknown and the budget is pretty low.But it has it's entertaining moments.The acting and the direction are decent.And this movie is original in it's own bizarre kind of way.I wouldn't recommend this movie to people who love to watch quality movies.Although it has some funny moments and good action scenes and decent CGI it is a pretty bad and trashy movie.But it is not the worst movie ever made.Have you ever watched The foreigner with Steven Seagal or Derailed with Jean Claude Van Damme.Those movies are much worse than this.This movie is at least original and it does not contain clichés.This is a bad movie,but it is not a painful experience to watch it,and it is semi-entertaining.

Pearl Harbor (2001)

100 percent American crap

This movie had so much potential.Director Michael Bay,actors Ben Affleck,Josh Hartnett,Kate Beckinsale,Cuba Gooding Jr,Alec Baldwin,Jon Voight,Tom Sizemore,Jenifer Garner,Colm Feore,Dan Aykroyd,Matthew Davis,Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa,Ted McGINLEY,Mako........ALL OF them are great actors....but they should be ashamed for making this terrible movie....i admit it has it's emotional moments,i admit it has spectacular battle scenes,but it is a terrible American propaganda.I have some American friends but everybody knows the outcome of the WW2,and it this movie is hystorically terrible.But that's not the only problem.300 is one of my favourite movies,it is also historically wrong.Theis movie is a propaganda of American soldiers.It is growse,digusting.I don't know what to say.If you are not an American with a very low IQ and with lack of historical knowledge stay away from this movie.

It is very very poor movie.Badly written,amateur acting,badly directed,with poor CGI,but with some funny jokes.IT has some funny end entertaining moments.The actors are unknown and they aren't good at all.Some people like this trashy C movies and i would recommend this movie to them.I like horror movies,but THIS IS NOT a horror movie.It is is SCI-FI/ACTION/comedy movie.I haven't seen a funny film like this for a long,long time.It was not a complete waste of time because it was funny and occasionally entertainment.But if you are looking for a good movie don't watch this at any cost,because this is a very bad movie with very bad actors and a small budget

When i first saw the summary of this movie i was expecting a lot.Good HBO production.Great actors:Rutger Hauer,Rebecca De Mornay and Ron Silver.But i was wrong.This was a really painful experience.Boring,predicitable and irritating TV thriller without tension.Very poorly directed,very bad acted.I think that this is the worst movie ever made,and I am a thriller fan,but this is not a thriller,this is just a poor excuse to spend some money on making films.I can't believe that i was excited about seeing this movie.I really love Rutger Hauer,he is a great and good actor,but this movie is really a disaster.

Poseidon (2006)

empty,shallow,visually impressive

This is an average disaster movie.It has some good sides,and some bad sides.The good sides are great special effects,good acting and decent direction.The bad sides of the movie are holes in the plot,bad script,and as a result of that we have one average disaster movie.The movie is very,very unrealistic,and the characters are dumb.I expected more from actors like Kurt Russell,Richard Dreyfuss,and the director Wolfgang Petersen.I would recommend this movie only to people who are crazy about disaster movies because the movie has great actors and impressive visual effects.If you are not a disaster movie fan,stay away from it.
