Perry Mason (2020)
An ok detective show
An ok-ish detective show, if you forget everything you know about older Perry Mason shows. The show runners and HBO should've just made this a new character, removed Perry Mason in name. They really make Perry look like an incompetent, dirty loser through all of season 1. But, the actual criminal case was creative, dark, decent mystery...but weird church and religious connections included in it.
Also, the completely out of place for the era strong, brave, smart, independent girl power attitude. Della is the worst character in this show, and in any show I've seen for years. She's supposed to be a secretary and assistant, and instead she bosses Perry (and EB) around. Gets in their business. Sits to drink from a flask with them, uninvited, while she's supposed to be doing her job as a secretary. She refused to answer the phone. Won't take notes. Stomps her feet when she doesn't get her way, like an annoying baby. Writers make it look like she's the only level headed, intelligent voice in the courtroom, the only reason Perry becomes a lawyer and wins cases. No one would tolerate this behavior from a secretary today, much less from a female secretary in the 1930s. And now I'm season 2, first episode she has hired a secretary to do her job for her, so she can focus on telling perry how to be a lawyer and go to law school herself. I don't recall Della being a lawyer, I'm guessing there weren't many (or any) female lawyers in the 1930s, either. Imagine coming to work and your secretary has hired someone to do her job, and she's moved her own desk into your office claiming to be your partner and equal now. Ridding the show of her character and her weird storyline would only improve the overall feel of the show and the time period accuracy. Now that she's hired an actual secretary, that's all Perry needs. Removing Della's character wouldn't hurt Perry's story arc.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers: Out of Bounds (2022)
What happened?
Season 1 was pretty good, this is awful so far. The Ducks just aren't the same without coach Bombay. Losing Emilio Estevez will be a mistake that leads to the end of the show.
Once again, Lauren Graham's character is the huge buzzkill of the show, no fun allowed here while she's around. The way they've written her character can't be how they really want to represent women and parents in general. Every scene she's in makes you hate her more and wish she stayed home.
And that's the biggest problem here, poor writing and directing. Why do they let nerds that hate sports, create and write shows about them? Sports are about competition? Shocker. We can't have that, it's not fair to the geeky untalented people. Hockey camp is too focused on hockey, the controlling helicopter mom not getting her way? Let's pause for a moment to play guitar and sing... Get over it.
Moon Knight (2022)
Their best days are behind us.
Another mediocre and unnecessary entry from the MCU, they just aren't very good at tv shows. Two episodes into it and not sure I'll continue. Boring story so far. Like so many other reviews have stated it's more like a Venom ripoff, even the voice in his head sounds the same.
Seems like they are just throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks. Feels like they don't really know where this new phase is heading or how to even start it.
The MCU's best days are behind us. It's all downhill from here.
Luca (2021)
Not the worst movie ever...but...
Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but definitely the worst Pixar movie. I don't understand all the raving, glowing reviews. This movie was slow, boring and super predictable with some Italian and pasta thrown in to make it seem different. Pixar doesn't usually miss, but first time for everything, I guess. Hope this low quality of writing and story aren't what we should expect from Pixar in the future. Do better.
The Girlfriend Experience: Mirrors (2021)
Poor casting, writing and acting.
Only a brit or a desperate tech virgin would pay someone this ugly for TGE and sex... Alexandra D'Addario should've been the main character.
The first season of TGE was great, season 2 was boring but at least the women were attractive. One episode into season 3 and I can already tell this season will be the worst and most annoying, ugly main character, all the virtue signaling and agenda pushing. Probably not worth watching past this point, but to be fair to the series, I'll give it until episode 3 to get hotter and less annoying.
The Fault in Our Stars (2014)
Terrible
I've been trying to figure out why this movie is so highly rated, and Not sure why or how anyone could sit through this nonsense. All around horrible acting, and predictable storyline from start to finish . I was tricked into seeing this, and by far, the worst movie I've seen since 2004. Highlights all the narcissism and self entitlement problems females today bring to the world. Princess syndrome at it's worst. Two sick people and a family, and one individual spends the entire time only thinking of herself and what she wants, how these other person can improve her pitiful life while she does nothing to contribute back. Thinking they need her and won't be able to cope or survive without her, come on. Just Terrible, avoid this and movies like that, stop making this unequal nonsense...stop supporting it, but then again, I guess some people really aren't as committed to equality as they claim.
