No Retreat No Surrender (1985)
After three or more beers, this movie is flawless.
I don't know where to start with this cinematic masterpiece. When I first saw it(a million years ago) I thought it was so laughably bad that I enjoyed watching it. Then recently I had a few drinks then got the great idea of watching it again. I couldn't pull myself off of the floor from laughing so hard. Geez, the sound, video quality, acting, editing, EVERYTHING about this movie is bad. There should be a warning on the cover suggesting that viewers prepare themselves for the possibility of laughing themselves into a stupor.
Anyway, this movie is freaking great. Check this movie out without hesitation. If you watch it sober, you'll laugh at it normally, but when you got a few in ya, the laughs don't stop. You hear that punk, she KNOWS whos the best!!!
Kyûtî Hanî (2004)
Pretty cool movie.
First, I'd like to give a reason for the 8 and not a 10. I didn't like the singing parts with the bad guys. Movie sorta dragged during those parts. Anyway, the two main girls are kinda cute and make the movie fun. I'd like to sing that little theme song over a loud speaker just to make people angry. The karaoke part is funny, nice to see people having fun. I'd get me a karaoke machine, but I'm too hardcore, I'd get too excited and start acting out scenes from action films. The machine would end up being damaged and I don't think the warranty would cover "reenactment abuse". The part before the karaoke scene is kind of sexy, because the cop chick is a little shy and mousy. She has a weird cute little face. She should have been Cutie Honey. But I think they chose the other girl because she has bigger breasts. Anyway, check this film out if you get a chance, its fun and not serious at all.
Sing si lip yan (1993)
The world needs more movies like this.
Fun fun and more fun. Thats the way all films should be. I could watch this movie 100 times in a row, without a break. This film is so good, I bet it could cure many an illness. Jackie Chan is the best actor in the world. Forget Tom Cruise or any of those other phonies. They couldn't make a movie like City Hunter. I might actually learn Mandarin someday, so I can randomly quote lines from the movie during a job interview. Yeah, its that good. The words sound so cool, you want repeat them many times without even learning the meaning. Anyway, if you readers ever get a chance to see this movie, check it out. The laughs don't stop, plus the song Jackie Chan sings at the beginning and end of the movie is pretty cool.
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
I wasn't sure what I was watching.
The ticket said Star Wars, but it seemed like I was watching one of those independent sci-fi films on the sci-fi channel. The light saber sound effects made me wish I had a mute button. Actually I wished I had my own light saber, so could hack and slash the sound system. I would comment on the acting, but there was none. Too bad Samuel L. Jackson didn't use profanity in this movie, could have been awesome. There was one part of the movie that could have been good, but George Lucas screwed it up. I don't think he's seen enough action films. The Natalie Portman character was like WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO, then there is a close up on the Anakin guys face... George Lucas, at that point, if you gave Anakin the line ...I'M GOING TO KILL THEM ALL..! This movie could have been worth the ticket price.
