Too smart for it's own good
6 December 2020
Nolan, is a great film maker, particularly for insomnia, dark knight and inception.

But he's steadily been getting too pretentious for his own good and the films are suffering as a result.

Tenet was a distaster in my opinion, the visual execution on screen was great but the writing and sheer entertainment make it an absolute mess.

My rating won't be enhanced

Extremely poor documentary and almost every level, I cannot recommend this to anyone, even the most hardcore bodybuilding fans will likely hate this trash.

Unfortunately, my rating wont be "Enhanced"
12 March 2019
Really? REALLY?

I just don't know what to say, so let me put it like this:

If it becomes free or on something like Netflix, then maybe waste your time if you've nothing better to do. But, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I have warned you, don't say I didn't.

If you want a similar documentary, I would recommend:

Bigger Stronger Faster: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1151309/

Or the first Generation Iron documentary (and ONLY the first): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2205904/

Finally something decent from the GI fitness network
12 March 2019
In my personal, and many others opinion that I have spoken with. The only good product that Vlad Yudin / Generation Iron fitness network have done is the very first Generation Iron documentary. Prior to and since then it's been absolute trash. this however is pretty decent, nothing great, but decent and I would recommend watching it for anyone interested in sports/bodybuilding or a good character study, 5/10.

Was this made by a 5 year old?
12 March 2019
I honestly believe I could get my phone, spend 1hr on a script and spend a few days making a more entertaining, better acted and looking film - yes, it's that bad, I genuinely cannot believe this has even been released.

I will never buy a GI product again, you've been warned. I advise watching the first one only. as this, just like the 2nd is a mess and a complete joke.

Generation Fail
17 November 2018
The first generation iron was brilliant (see my review on that) but this one, is a joke.

It just seems thrown together without good characters, following their struggles and journey and has nothing interesting about it, don't waste your time and I can only hope generation iron 3 is better.

Go watch the first, pumping iron, born strong or something similar.

One of the best MMA films ever made
17 November 2018
I'm unsure as to whether this beats Undisputed 2, I think I prefer the bleak dark atmosphere of that one, but the fighting in this one is just epic!

Any fight fan should watch this.

The worst fighting movie I've ever seen
17 November 2018
OK, so it's based on a true story which is always a plus in my opinion. However, that said story has to be coherent, interesting and have likeable characters which this film has none of!

Basically, the story jumps all over the place, you know pretty much nothing about the main character and he just instantly seems to be a pro boxer after his first visit to boxing training and is incoherent. Also, there is nothing particularly likeable about the main protagonist, you don't care about him which is essential in a film like this, he's just a person which we know nothing about that has a temper and wants to fight for his rights to fight with a turban and beard (which, I don't think he should. If you enter a specific sport with specific rules, you respect them).

Mikey rourke is wasted here, purely because of the aforementioned reasons, bad writing and bad film. And, I say fighting film, but there is hardly any fighting at all, and what there is, is just poorly done. Overall avoid, an absolutely terrible film, bad writing, incoherent, bad acting from the main character, poor fighting scenes and an uninteresting story.

Go and watch a good fighting film like Southpaw, Undisputed 1/2, Rocky, The Raid etc

A scam to make you think it's a real Alien / Predator movie, should have charges filed against them!
15 September 2018
Guys, it's simply a shocking bad knock off to trick people into thinking it's anything to do with the official Alien or Predator franchise, what they do is host it online and put it in shops like supermarkets in the hopes you'll fall victim to this scam, much like several other low life directors/production companies do, they won't last, nor will this film - avoid at all costs!

Scarily....bad!
20 April 2017
I initially got fooled by the good ratings of this despite me being suspicious, and my god, it's possibly one of the worst horrors I've ever seen.

The acting (if you can call it that) is just abysmal, there is nothing else to say about it. The camera work is terrible and the annoying constant "static effect" always happening. The sounds is passable, and the creature design/effects range from OK to pathetic.

In short, you could probably make a better horror film with 0 budget on your mobile phone, avoid at all costs.

Undisputed 4: Boyka (2016 Video)
3/10
I wanted to like it so much, but I couldn't
10 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I was waiting so long for this film, undisputed 2 and 3 where amazing - among the best martial arts movies out there, but this well... sucked and I'll explain why.

I believe the director and a lot of other people involved in the other films where absent here, and it really shows. But let's talk about what made undisputed 2 and 3 good. For me, at first it's the dark gritty atmosphere and good characters. Boyka was a true product of his environment and the fight scenes where hard hitting with impact and (especially undisputed 2 which I think is the best) has an element of realism to it.

OK just to be clear, while I had realistic expectations for this; me and the woman was waiting ages and looking forward to it, only to be sat at the end both saying "the other ones where much better" and here's why:

Boyka is too nice! I get that he's a changed man etc, but it's to the point it feels really artificial, and overly emphasized on God. Also, there is a lot more talking for him in this role and nothing against Scott Adkins but all you're reminded of is that his accent is all over the place, and that (even though he's clearly tried and fair play to him) but he's just not a very good actor. You didn't notice this in the other ones as he didn't speak that much or show/try to show any emotion. He looks good though, he's clearly beefed up for this role and had dedication to it but that's not enough.

SPOILER ALERT

OK fight scenes. Boyka pulls off some cool moves, the best fights are with the two brothers and guy with blonde line through his hair, the rest where "meh" at best. The worst, OMG, the WORST thing they could have done was to bring Martyn Ford (the big steroid guy, who makes Scott Adkins look like Al Pacino in the acting sense) on board. The guy is just a big red steroid lump, who clearly can't fight or hit with any speed to save his life. And he has a bane/Hannibal style face mask on!!??!?! which is just laughable. Honestly me and the missus where in tears laughing every time he was on screen. Note to film makers, just because someone is big and may, in theory look cool, does NOT mean you should cast them in the movies, Arnold was a one off, remember that.

In summary (and not because they weren't in prison) it didn't feel in any way like an undisputed film, bad story, mediocre acting at best, OK fight scenes (some good) and some bad writing/directing makes this a flop and big disappointment which is a shame because I am a huge fan of the series. This could have been so much more, it really could, but unfortunately not enough elements where in tune with each other.

I do hope this isn't the last of the series, but if you do make another, do it properly otherwise it will be buried for good.

P.S

As of writing this, the review score is 8.4/10 on IMDb which is clearly fake, don't believe it the ratings will come down soon and more GENUINE people vote.

One of, if not the worst martial arts films ever made
4 November 2014
The acting is terrible, the choreography and fight scenes are abysmal, and the plot, if you can even call it that does not hold attention at all. This films just screams low budget, with poorly trained actors and mediocre (at best) martial artists. It almost reminds me of Arena as it has many similarities, but worse, much much worse if you can believe that. Ultimately it is not worth your time, not to buy or rent, you couldn't give it away without offending the other person. Stay away at all costs, trust me. You're best watching an actual good fighting film such as; Undisputed 2, blood sport, IP man and the like.

A 4 year old could actually make a better film
1 November 2014
This, just like Mark Atkins other attempts (generally rip off's of other big movies in order to trick people into buying the DVD, "Jack the giant killer" is his perfect shameless example) is yet another flop in literally every way possible, there is literally no saving grace at all.

To cut a long story short, the directing, cinematography, writing and acting is all shocking. I watched it purely out of curiosity and I wish I could have that time if my life back. I am generally a very positive person and find "something" good on most things, but this is just abysmal - needless to say, don't bother.
