Would kids who have recently saved the world from evil be worried about being popular? The characters deserve more than being pushed back to square one in their quest for acceptance. The strength of the show relies on their tight-knit friend group and they just don't have that chemistry anymore. More Murray, Joyce, and especially Robin and Steve, please.

The Cool Ones
(1967)
Wacky and Harmless

I enjoyed this hilariously uncool attempt to be cool. I was left with the impression that the actors knew this was bad and decided to have as much fun as possible with it. I think I've also developed a crush on Nita Talbot.

Funny Show, but...

I enjoy the show's commitment to finding the most awkward and uncomfortable situations for their cast to navigate. However, the character of Casey is the most self-centered, least appealing person on the show by far. I've liked the actress in many other things she has done-but, man, I do not feel one ounce of the sympathy I am supposed to feel for her here.
Stevie is the Heart of This Show

I like how the writers use Stevie as a stand-in for the viewer. She observes and is generally the voice of reason, but as much as she tries to remain detached, she can't help becoming invested in the lives of the crazy people around her. When her heart breaks because David may eventually leave her or when she is scared she might lose a father figure in Johnny, you feel it because she is us.
