Hot Seat (2022)
What were they thinking?
Boring. Stupid. Not in the least believable. Can't even classify as low budget. More like the storyline is worse than most low budget things around lately.
And, in my boredom, I most likely missed how old the daughter is suppose to turn on her birthday. Teenager talking like a toddler? Aged anywhere between 2 and 16 and ultimately not convincing. Most likely the worse acting of this whole mess.
The biggest disappointment came when most of the idiots survived. Alternative ending of everyone being blown to Mars would have persuaded me to give a higher rating.
The Block NZ (2012)
What on earth?
If I thought the Australian block was bad, I was in for a shocker. This is terrible. Childish contestants, cheating, rigging the game etc. Funny how Australians and New Zealanders don't boycott this disgrace. This is the image you want to put out to the world? As an outsider, it seems like people from that side of the world doesn't have any standards, and they're proud of it! It makes great TV. I would hang my head...
Centigrade (2020)
Not to bad...but...
Alright to watch. Not bad in the sense that it seems realistic enough. It could happen. People could react this way. And then there is the screaming baby. Yeah, we get it. New born baby, hungry baby. Stop with the damn crying. How annoying can you make a sound track. I watch the last part with the sound turned off. And sincerely didn't care if they survived or not. Annoying.
World's Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji (2020)
Bear 'please give me attention' Grylls.
The show is okay, but really, Bear Grylis? What's with the backpack he's carrying around every time he's on camera? You're not racing, you're riding in a helicopter. He doesn't even do the commentary. So basically, hes name and face is thrown in there to lure those that can actually stomach his tough guy facade.
And what's with the 'I'm gay', 'I'm black' and 'I'm female' rubbish. It's a tv show not liberal propaganda on minorities. I'm middle aged, white, straight menopausal and considered to be a bit b&tchy, does that now put me in a group where I have to mention my accomplishments and not how hard I worked or didn't work to reach my goals? Nobody is stopping black, gay or females to compete in any of these shows or competitions, laziness or the lack of motivation is stopping all of us that doesn't competing. Some of us simply don't use a label as our biggest claim to fame. Stop the propaganda and focus on the subject of the show.
As for the show, no it's not only American teams. But there's some cool backstories I enjoyed. Then again, maybe some of the other teams also had something to tell.
The beginning of the season was great because they focus on the top teams and the sentimental. 'Lazy' entertainment and one can really get behind some of the teams. And then the top teams finish and the last couple of episodes is 'fillers' consisting of mostly teams you haven't gotten to know. After the first team finished, I only got to see the Japanese team, to mention one. Another team place on the board but I saw them once and didn't even know they were still racing. This season could have stopped with the first couple of teams finishing. Don't drag it out for airtime. Or at the very least, be smart enough to spread continuous content across the whole series.
Money Plane (2020)
NO, just NO!
In today's times I'll just about watch anything out of boredom. But, this is simply an insult to the viewers intelligence. The acting is terrible, the story line lame. I have seen home movies with better production, direction and story lines. YouTube is an better option. In fact, watching a turned off TV is more enjoyable than this rubbish.
Underwater (2020)
Terrible
Everyone should just accept that Kristen Stewart, after all this time, still can't act. I suppose that's why the skimpy outfits. Nothing else seems to be working. The acting is terrible, The story line is terrible. The movie is terrible. From about five minutes in, I hope the main character die. Violently. It might match the pained and semi breathless expression. Remember the one face acting from Twilight?. Same thing, just less clothes. This is no relief for lock-down boredom. Rather watch grass grow.
Line of Duty (2019)
Very bad comedy.
Maybe, just maybe, if they warn you it's a lame comedy, it could be worth watching. And, only if you had too much to drink. An idiotic girl running around with a hapless cop. I suspect even a cop, should it happen that another cop doesn't want to take his call, can dial 911. Nowhere on planet earth would this happen. Oh, right, it's Hollywood, very far removed from human intelligence. This is simply pathetic and I'm losing all hope for Hollywood. And now I've spent too much time on this lame attempt at entertainment aimed at the senseless masses.
A Cure for Wellness (2016)
Rubbish
I watch everything from big box office, low budget to no budget and then something like this comes around.
Clearly, a decent budget and the result was the privilege to watch some of the most camouflaged rubbish I've had the displeasure to watch in years. No even an attempt at a good story-line. As another reviewer stated, he expected Shutter Island, well, this had nothing in common except the feel and cinematography. And that's how they attempted to sneak this drivel past us.
Our society needs a cure if this is considered good...From the start, the only thing keeping me watching was the hope that every character dies as soon as possible.
Fear the Walking Dead (2015)
The human side of the walking dead.
This is not TWD, but then again, it's not suppose to be. I didn't have high hopes. How do you improve on a highly successful show? You don't, you make another show with a different perspective that can be just as successful. This show delivers.
Admit it, every TWD fan likes to picture how he'd react in such a violent world, would he be a leader or a follower. Maybe a victim etc.
With FTWD it makes us question what would we do, and how we'd react when faced with the unknown. The fear of not only losing everything you have but also your way of life. Or when zombies are first spotted, fear of losing your mind.
Yes TWD is everything we want! Now we have the opportunity to also think about the emotional side of things. (After all, everybody in TWD started of with a family or loved ones. Nice to see the build up of losing those people)
