The 40 Year Old Virgin (2005)
Offensive.
After receiving this film on DVD for my 24th and not seeing it in theaters, I didn't know what to expect. after seeing I found it dreadfully offensive because the character Andy Stitzer had been single and never been laid once his whole life and he was being dictated by everybody to loose his virginity and that made me furious. because Im exactly like him, I've simply chosen to stay single for the sake of my ambitions and priorities and I feel like everybody is dictating me to find a girlfriend and get married and I keep saying it's not going to happen and it's true. I have no problem with Steve Carrell, I mean I loved in Over the hedge but this film is total rubbish. I almost wished I've never laid eyes on it.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)
David Tennant was the only reason why I saw this crap.
Though I have a great respect for J.K. Rowling. I still have to say that this is the worst picture yet and David Tennant was the only reason why I bothered to see it. I also have to admit that Clemence Poesy is insanely attractive, Stanislav Ianevski was very good for a beginner and best of all David Tennant who plays a wonderful Badguy but that's all. The rest of the film is just another piece of adolescent rubbish that has no depth or a sense of reality. As a writer myself I cannot believe anything that Harry Potter is made to be whether it is on screen or on paper but this commentary is only an opinion and of course everybody is entitled to their opinions even if they are as negative as mine.
The Birth of a Nation (1915)
The most Evil film ever made
I would understand if African-Americans make fun of them selves for comedic purposes but this Horrible film is just plain wrong.
This film only promotes more hatred to all African Americans. Seeing this film really horrified me, know that the "KKK" still exists and are still terrorizing anybody who is Black, Jewish, Roman Cathlic, Communist or Immigrants. The "KKK" in this film are shown as the Heroes but they are the real evil in this film.
another thing the burns me is that all the Black Characters in this film are played by white actors in black make-up, I know this because no African-American would ever participate such racist Garbage like this one.
Rainbow War (1987)
Messy but Brilliant
I have to say that this film was Messy but Brilliant.
My Film lighting instructor worked as a Lamp operator on this film and said that the studio, the actors, the equipment and even the entire crew got drenched in paint, but he had a lot of fun working on it.
I couldn't stop laughing at the characters, the action, everything. It's small films like rainbow war that are made fresh out of the box, brought to the screen and received such a response from the audience.
although it had a small budget, it has imagination, a good story, funny characters and a wonderful message about peace.
I recommend this film to any aspiring young filmmaker who has the imagination that this film was made from.
The Bridge of San Luis Rey (2004)
Dreadful waste of Talent
I must say that this film is a waste of really good American Actors and a good amount of photography being used.
This film is an example of how American actors simply cannot play Spanish roles in a 16th century period film. also I must ad it was poorly directed and the most pathetic story ever written.
In films like "Bridge on the River Kwai", "A Bridge too far" and "Force 10 from Navarone" Bridges play a vital role to the story. in the film, the Bridge barely ties into the Title or the storyline.
Believe me, this film was a waste of effort from Robert DeNiro, Kathy Bates, Gabriel Byrne, Geraldine Chaplin and F, Murray Abraham.
and seeing it will be a waste of your time.
The Hero's Hero: The Forgotten Life of William Barker (2003)
A forgotten legend remembered.
I just have to say after seeing this film, I was astounded to see William George Barker for who he truly is, an extraordinary pilot and a man who is so larger than life and after surviving so many deadly dogfights, shooting down 50 enemy aircraft winning the Victoria Cross and surviving to the end of the first world war, it was a great shock to hear that he was killed flying what was thought to be a faulty aircraft in a safe area and during peace time almost the same way Lawrance of Arabia had died in a motorcycle crash. At the end, no one knows who "the great Will Barker" is anymore. he is now over shadowed by his friend, the survivor of both the World Wars "Billy Bishop".
Another contribution to Will Barker's death was the horrifying memories of the war never left him, being ravaged by alcoholism and a humiliating traffic accident when he's supposed to begin a Canadian hockey tournament. Will Barker didn't want to live anymore. he died doing what he wanted to do, to Fly away and not return.
The Kid Who Couldn't Miss (1983)
Offensive
I just have to say that this is an uncalled, unfair, inaccurate and offensive documentary, showing disrespect to one of Canada's greatest and extraordinary war pilots.
These film makers wanted to discredit Billy Bishop and make him look like a successful fraud like Harry Flashman.
Billy Bishop has seen death, destruction and unimaginable horror while bringing down 75 German planes and people call him a fraud. He does not deserve this after all that he's been through.
I'll Dahm the people who made this waste of good Photography.
I rated this film 1 out of 10.
