The Good Fight: The One Inspired by Roy Cohn (2019)
Michael Sheen - just horrible
I concur with all the previous reviews. What a horrible addition to what was a really wonderful show before they decided to write in this character. I predict the Michael Sheen's character and ridiculously over-the-top performance will drive away a lot of viewers. It has done so for me.
Modern Family: Arrested (2012)
"Arrested" perhaps the best episode in a long time!
I totally agree with the original poster. There have been many great episodes of MODERN FAMILY since the series began but I think this one ranks up there as one of the absolute best. "Arrested" is one of those scripts where every line is so well crafted and perfectly delivered that it is IMHO a classic episode. Writing credits show two writers who I do not recall seeing listed on any previous episodes of the series going back to the very beginning. Becky Mann and Audra Sielaff according to IMDb worked together on"Rules Of Engagement", "It's Always Sunny..." and "Better Off Ted." The various stories were all very strong as were the performances. Everyone in the cast got to shine and there were some nice turns by other players including the student who was at the probationary hearing and it was nice to see Shelley Long make a re-appearance as Dede. The episode was well-directed as all episode are. I hope Levitan and Lloyd give these writers some more assignments in the future. They deserve it!
Kid Nation (2007)
It is "entertainment."
In a nutshell... watch it at least once and then make up your mind. Either you like it, hate it, find it somewhat endearing and inspiring or truly feel it is exploitative. But don't prejudge this based on what you've read in newspaper articles or on the Internet. That to me is just a sad commentary on what our country has turned into (protest and censor something without even knowing what it is about.) I personally find it entertaining and am happy to see kids that age be able to work together and handle life much better than many adults. And for people who feel parents should be concerned about leaving their kids out in the middle of nowhere with no adults around. Come on. There are more crew and production people on the premises than the 38 or 39 kids. These kids ARE supervised.
But the bottom line is... there are many other shows on Wednesday night at the same time as KID NATION. If this isn't your cup of tea, don't watch it.
